Knut Orcbane, an acclaimed barbarian clan hero of yesteryear, stationed at Cragged Spine, may not be casting from a full spell book, and it may be affecting your sanity as well! He has convinced you to wear his "sentient" pelt, Griz, within Demon's Delve in search of the old magick item that the grizzly pelt can supposedly sense.

Stage 1

While wearing Griz as your head equipment, explore the caves and tunnels within Demon's Delve.

Start:	If you listen to Griz carefully, perhaps he can help guide you.
Complete:	You found the sack that once contained the magick item.

Start:	Continue to explore the caves with Griz. If you listen to him carefully, perhaps he can help guide you.
Complete:	Griz has helped you locate the source of the magick.

Start:	Griz is rather insistent. You must destroy the magick item -it is a Ry'Gorr necromantic totem!

Stage 2

You should return to Knut Orcbane, at Cragged Spine, now that you have destroyed the necromantic crystal the orcs had within the Demon's Delve tunnels.

Knut Orcbane is not such a crazy barbarian war hero as one may assume. It turns out Griz, Knut's grizzly pelt and proclaimed companion, is sentient after all! While wearing the pelt yourself, Griz guided you to locate and destroy an oversized necromatic crystal hidden within Demon's Delve, the tunnels the Ry'Gorr orcs were digging beneath New Halas. If they had ever broken through and attacked the city, they could have used the crystal to reanimate any fallen comrades, overrunning the city with an unstoppable horde of undead!

If you go to the area where the bag should be laying on the bench and find that it's not there, it's possible that you have not equipped the bear helmet yet. It's been noted that the bear helmet that you must be wearing to see the bag, is showing up in your inventory after a bit of a delay. (One member waited about a day for the item to show in her inventory bag) So having patience or filing a petition may be required. Once the helmet shows up in your bag, equip it and the bag that's located on the bench will appear instantly. Good Luck!

Hey guys!
It seems like during the years the problems didn't become less... or I'm just incredibly stupid.
I got the sack. After that griz said something about looking arount. And then there was silence.
I've been walking around these caves for hours now and been killed several times, too. But Griz doesn't talk to me. I stood next to the wagons, on the wagons, killed every monster in my way, but nothing seems to work. Can someone please, please give me a hint what to do?

After you enter the undersea cave, head for the north-west corner of that main room. There's a bench with a bag on it among the items here. The bag is what you want.

Click on the bag, and follow through on the dialogue. Doing so will unlock the next quest point.

Next, head down the north-west tunnel leading from the arrival room.

In the mining room, there are a couple of wooden carts near the center. One of these carts (the one to your left when you enter the area) is typically the cart Griz wants.

When Griz detects the "prey", the necromantic totem inside the cart will begin to glow visibly, so you can't mistake your target.

Click on the totem to destroy it and complete the quest.

Is anyone else having problems with this quest? I can't get it to update past the first spot where you search the sack.

I know this post is a few months old, but....

I had the same problem - or so I thought. The problem is that you have to click through the conversation with Griz at the appropriate 2 spots in order for the quest to progress. However, the conversation bubbles were OFF the edges of my screen so I didn't know they were there at first. After clicking the sack, it took a minute or so(during which I was traveling around looking for the next phase in error!) until the conversation bubbles came up. I just happened to see the edge of the bubbles, but I couldn't click on anything because they were half off the edge of the screen. After fiddling a bit I was able to finally click through the conversation and got CONFIRMATION that the quest was progressing, and Griz told me to go further inside..

At the second spot(I knew I was in the right place since I'd researched this due to my frustation!) I had the same kind of problem with the bubbles being off-screen. I moved slowly a step at a time until I could see the edge of a bubble, then wiggled around a lot until I was able to click through and VOILA!

I know this is confusing, but I hope it helps some other newbie-ish person out! Incidentally, I haven't had this type of problem occur before with the text bubble issue. My screen and game window are sized appropriately, etc.

Speak to Knut Orcbane in Cragged Spine to begin this quest.

Head to the underwater cave at 49.89, -108.66, 380.89 and go through it.
Once on the other side, equip Griz. He counts as a cloth head slot item. He will start talking to you.
Head to 96.03, -67.12, 126.30 until Griz tells you the prey is within striking distance. Click the bag at 93.67, -66.54, 118.82 .
Now head to 245.91, -53.54, 53.43 and click the wagon.
Return to Knut Orcbane to complete the quest.
