Note, this quest is called "Betrayal of Brotherhood". There is no "the" in the quest name.

In South Qeynos the book is up the red portal, on the ground next to Aristide Calais. Its the grey/brown one sitting by itself.

To spawn Dryxl you have to go to the zone "Tombs of Night:Retribution", and go to a pentagram on the ground at loc -80, -37, 90 (it's adjacent to the Pit Room/Maw of Mortality; if you are in the waterfall area you've gone too far).

Walk through the pentagram and Dryxl will spawn with some friends. You don't have to kill a single mob to spawn Dryxl (if the zone is greyed out, that is) - just walk through the pentagram.

This is the fourth in the Brotherhood of Night series of quests from the camps outside of Timber Falls in the Nektulos Forest. It is given by Dirin Thilae after you complete the third quest.

He asks you to look for one of two tomes found in the Academy of Arcane Science in North Freeport or the Tower of Three in Qeynos. The tome is on the table next to the Sage in North Freeport in the Academy of Arcane Science.

Read it and return to Dirin. He starts to read and then asks you to move a torch closer so he can see better. Click on the torch and move it closer to him. ( Yes, it's moved UNDER the tent).

Hail him again and after reading the tome, he sends you into the Tombs of Night: Retribution to find and kill Dryxl T'Rath (-80, -37, 90). Once you enter, go to the lower caves area, you'll find a pit with a glowing rune, step into the rune and you're jumped by Dryxl and his 4 followers. He escapes in the end, but you are to return to Dirin with your findings.

Stage 5

Slay the betrayer Dryxl T'Rath. The Brethren of Night accept none such as he!

You have attempted to slay the betrayer, but he managed to escape.

Stage 6

Return once more to Dirin to inform him of Dryxl T'Rath.

Dryxl T'Rath has escaped my grasp. His death nothing but a shimmer of hope, now lost in the depths of the caverns. Perhaps Nayli R'Ger will know more about how I can kill the betrayer.
