Update Notes for July 14, 2010

EQ2s hotfix this week includes some zone, mob and item fixes.

This week's hotfix included several bug fixes and some enhancements. Some encounters from Underfoot Depths and Icy Keep: Retribution were addressed, the city of Gorowyn has called in engineers for civic improvements and several instances from Desert of Flames and Kingdom of Sky are now persistent.

GENERAL

  • Many instances from Deserts of Flame and Kingdom of Sky are now persistent.  This includes Ancient’s Table, Cazel’s Mesa, Scornfeather Roost, The Halls of Fate, The Blackscale Sepulcher, The Den of the Devourer, The Vaults of El’Arad, and The Nest of the Great Egg.

ITEMS

  • The Monstrous Stud of Might now procs Rancorous Ire.
  • The Glowing Rune Covered Tome of Sorrow now additional has Manawell III and is usable by Priests.
  • The Sublime Cestus has had its proc changed from Rancorous Ire to Scornful Presence II.

LON ITEMS

  • The Legends of Norrath item “Bottled Breath” should no longer affect the reuse timers of other healing abilities or potions.

POPULATION

  • The High Council of Gorowyn has noticed a large number of visitors getting lost in their fine city, and has asked the Academy of Logistics to plan some civic improvements.  Please do not be alarmed if you encounter any of the Academy’s engineers and surveyors in your travels around Gorowyn.

UNDERFOOT DEPTHS

  • Vaclaz Released (challenge mode): Energy clash will only affect at most 6 players every time it goes off, and it cannot be triggered more than once per 20 secs even if Vaclaz and one of his essences have the same target for an extended period of time.
  • Vaclaz Released (challenge mode): Procs and passive effects will no longer trigger the spreading of the toxic inversion curse.
  • Vaclaz the Annihilator now drops a 2 handed brawler weapon in addition to his other drops.
  • Horraastaas: Players on fire, as well as those not on fire, doing damage to Horraastaas will now generate less fungal spores than before.
  • Horraastaas: Players do not have to wait as long once Flames of the Pyre dies off before being able to immolate themselves again.
  • The Taehric Construct: Eradication mode will not generate as much spell damage bonus for the construct.  It will still grant a massive melee bonus, as before.

ICY KEEP: RETRIBUTION

  • Vrewwx Icyheart should once again spawn correctly.
