You have not updated the EQ site in two weeks. Some acknowledgement as to what your plans for the EQ site are would be appreciated.

From what I read, EQ1 and EQ2 information will not be updated. I will not be renewing until the new owners wise up. This is why you should never sell your small companies to be conglomerates.

Unholy Czars, EQ1- long time subscribers.

I'd like a response to this, too. I need to know if I can expect a refund or need to contact my bank if they pulling the plug on EQ.

Would be nice to know what is going on :(

I just started back on EQ with the new awesome progression servers.

I've been reading the class forums for the different classes and the main forum page doesn't even link to the class forum sites anymore... they are just left floating in limbo.

https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/classes.html?class=13

The path to the forum just says: Forums :-> Unknown :-> class13 Forum

All at the very least continue to support Lucy, or open up the source code.

Is there anybody out there ? From Tencent Holdings ?

If you don't even assign one person to answer the most relevant question from your customers re this site, then I guess we can take it that (EQ-ZAM) has been sacrificed or at least marginalized in a major way and in typical secretive, communist- modus operandi ... not a word or statement would be made about this stealth change..

Any statement to enlighten us (specifically EQ1 players) whether or not this site will continue receiving support will help your customers greatly.

Many of us have our premium account settings to auto renew.

They fired the admin who handled customer feedback.

It's not just the EQ-ZAM part of the company that is going down the toilet, it's the entire ZAM-umbrella of fansites. They've killed all but their cash cows, and once the traffic drops below an arbitrary number, they'll shut those down too.

There's nothing fansite about ZAM anymore. It's all about the money now, which is funny, because the entire franchise seems to be run by people who are incompetent to the nth degree when it comes to making money.

Yes, I've been following this crisis as it unfolds on the Everquest section of ZAM (my world lol) and what perplexes many contributors is that over 60 people posted questions (most concerned about the same issue) on the home page where the news announcement was made.. Yet there has been complete silence from ZAM and its president, Mr. Cody Bye - to the subscribers.

Sad ... I guess I will just look to enjoy the EQ forums before it slowly dies as contributors slowly leave this great Everquest resource.

Ironically, ZAM-EQ forums are still more active than all but Daybreak's EQ forums, even after this downgrade of our site..but sadly that will fade over time if nothing new is updated.

Now I could imagine how Yther feels (our top EQ contributor who disappeared from our forums since)..... thousands of wiki updates and creations (thousands of hours over the years) done for the love of the game and this site...all for naught in the end.

And last but not least, the loss of competent, experienced Admin staff who helped make this site what it was - For all these years !

Depressing ...

If this is true it is time to discontinue my support of ZAM. I only use it for EQ.

In the end, maybe a better resource will rise from the ashes of the now abandoned ZAM pages. Maybe a wiki that allows us to specify what era so those of us on progressive servers can have a decent resource with the rest of you.

Cody Bye is no longer the president of ZAM Networks, LLC. He hasn't been for quite some time. It's not his fault that nobody has told the loyal userbase what is happening.

He was still the president when the announcement was made. As his name was quoted as the author of the news announcement with the 60+ reply's following it.

Edit: Found the news release (Bottom right hand corner: Mr Cody Bye.) : https://everquest.allakhazam.com/story.html?story=36135
