I met Fawn Starstone, a lady in Qeynos' Starcrest Commune, who would like to build a garden near her home. She asked me to gather a few items to help her out and I've agreed. She told me that I can find the young timber wolves roaming the hills of Antonica.
I've gathered the scat to fertilize Fawn's garden.
I've given Fawn the items she needs for her garden.

This is the first in a series of quests from Fawn Starstone in Starcrest Commune.
She asks you to gather the following components from Antonica:
- 5 Fish Eggs - Coldwind Barracuda or Coldwind Pike
- 5 Diatomaceous Sand - Sand Covered or Darkclaw Crabs (around -598.91, -39.03, 828.69 ).
- 5 Seeds - Antonican Mammals
After you have obtained these return to her for coin and experience. This will open up part II of the quest, which gives a better reward.

Finished off this quest today and the sand covered crabs south of Archers woods (the little beach) gave me update for each kill. My little halfling was very happy.
a fellow player reported it and a GM simply updated the quest, not worth the time anymore at my lvl (with alt though, lvl 16).

As on Jan 4th, the sand covered crabs don't seem to be dropping the sand ding. Been trying alot out and no luck so far.
Still not working.

Is anyone still able to still obtain the quest? I wonder if maybe it's been removed.

This still appears to be bugged as of 5/29. I submitted a report but I doubt it will be ever fixed with all the new content and starter zones.
It's a shame to, I always thought is was a good quest. The weap rewards are very nice but it requires players out into some areas they might not have seen at level 14-16.

Hasn't worked for me either, not even getting the "no quest items found" message. I even tried the darkclaw ones on the far NE side of zone.

I managed this quest at lvl 13 with my preadator. IT WAS EASY.
Zone into Antonica from marinas bell.
Kill anything with fur.. Bingo
Kill any coldwind sea animal.. Bingo
Go futher along coast and get crabs west of archers wood. Some of these are normal 10, 11 crabs the rest are herotic. I was able to slay 2 herotic crabs, 1 quite easily.. Bingo
Off to get my whip, :)

Note - Server was actually Shadowhaven but Shadowhaven was not an aloud server selection.

The rats outside of Qeynos gates do infact give Seed updates. I tried killing Coldwind perch but they give nothing, it's the Baracuda that gave me updates.

also, not all of the sand-covered crabs are heroic. Several were regular 11-12 mobs, a few spawn with 1 down arrow.

I tried this quest with my froggys, and it's too hard. The first part seed, was easy getting them of any fur wearing critter, and the fish eggs is any colwind attackable fish. The sand-covered crabs was my downfall. they are now double ^^ heroic. Since I loathed grouping, I don't bother with this quest, and the reward is usless after 2 levels anyway. Never found any darkclaw crabs either, and those are probaby ^^ heroic too.

I found the sand covered crabs on the beach south of the Archer wood. Got a whip for completing the quest.

The Fish Egg come from Coldwind Barracuda, for the crabs you get a Quest update with Darkclaw Crabs.

I can find these Sand Cover Crabs, not even in the data base nor the Diatomaceous sand that they drop.

The info you have is misleading. The items do not all come from wolves. The items are as follows:
5 diatomaceous sand from sand covered crabs
5 fish eggs from coldwind fish
5 seeds from the fur of antonican mammals
5 diatomaceous sand from sand covered crabs

Yes, the list of items to gather for this quest was changed with one of the recent updates and there doesn't seem to be a Part 2 anymore.

06-01-05..Quest now asks for 5 fish eggs, 5 diatomaceous sand, and 5 seeds.
