It made it harder to get to Iceclad to hunt snow cougars. >:(

They didn't even put a translocator gnome in his place. >:(

I remember this guy well. For the same reason most of the others do: a very quick and totally unexpected death at his hands!

It came to pass that I was fishing next to Puntar one day in my usual manner, working on sense heading, fishing, sneak, and as many other skills as I could, including begging from poor Puntar. Well, eventually Puntar took exception to my begging in the usual way and started trying to beat me up. Since I usually try to maintain a reasonable level of role play, I decided not to kill Puntar, and was bored to death working on skills anyways, so I headed off to Oasis to do some leveling and have some fun, and Puntar set off in pursuit in his usual leadfooted manner.

Since I ran past Frankie every day with absolutely no problems, I ran by him with Puntar far, far behind me. Major error in judgement, as he VERY quickly came to Puntar's aid, and showed me how quickly he could summon a "Loading, Please wait" message. Ah, sweet mysteries of life...

It is interesting to note that he and Puntar are telepathic, but this experience has made me a little more careful of the assumptions I make in game. Anyway, was amusing to remember the episode and remember back to my early days. My, how things have changed since then...

I started EQ in May of 2002 and dont remmember this guy ever being around.

He was there for a long time. When the boats vanished so too did he. He was the guy standing there at the docks asking if you were interested in frozen lands full of ice giants and dragons. But then he disappeared when the boats were "broken" meaning when they took boat travel out because they want to continuously dumb every aspect of the game down to nothing. It sucks that lore has to suffer for the sake of their idiot's crusade of newbie pandering...

And I agree also. Bring back the boats! Not to replace PoK (wont happen) but to give back my fun trips down memorylane, and simply enjoying the ride.

You guys are so full of crap.. me a 46 warrior and my 54 cleric friend killed this guy. He hit me for 102 max and didnt quad. Had a hell of alot of hp tho..Dropped nothing but zombie skins(?) I dunno what that is all about but i guess you smart guys will figure it out.

Im a level 60 necro on Xegony. I heard that this guy was a beefy under con.
For those of you who dont know. Necro spells are notorious for their almost imposible to resist traits. So he weas green.

Made my pet (the spec) I casted splurt(really hard to resist) he resisted =D he came running at me. I sicked my pet as buffer he kept running.

So Not even my life taps landed. For a freakin half an hour i was running this guy around in circles while my pet beat on him. Casting snare when it resists is a huge agro.

So after my hard battle and almost dieing twice.. what was my GREAT prize?
A rusty dager and 3 copper.

It was part of the halloween quests when there was a ghost ship, the boat stopped coming for about a week while the events were on. There was a Gnome that would port straight to the iceclad docks there at the time. I guess they just never changed his phrases back to normal when the events ended, the boat does come eventually though.

I don't care what any of you say after this post. Frankel the Pirate is an undercon and I know this from watching the merciless slaughter of so many of you twits that think he can be taken. Just stay back from him and hail him occasionally. From expirience if you dont mess with him he wont mess with you. Frankel is a cool dude to sit there with when your medding up to fight other things but don't go trying to kill him.

I was at derv camp one by myself(lvl 11 druid)when i decided to try my luck.I harmonised two dervs and was going good beating on the third derv when out of the corner of my eye I saw Puntar Sandfisher run like a girl with this little gnome trailing him. Lo and behold I was in their path and you can guess what I saw next (LOADING...PLEASE WAIT). Ok I read about Dorn and Lord Shin Ree but this little ******* takes the cake...I've read your comments and I remember him holding a weapon in each hand definitely.

we (my guild, and 2 others) decided to take ol fank..pretty easy with 7 groups of 48-60 click stick clerics..no exps..so we decided to have some fun and log our twinks on, there was about 33-34 of us all level 30-38 decked out, we kept 1 cleric out for each twink we had and used them to heal them while the fight lasted, we all died about 15-16 times(minus the clerics healing and rezing), had the click stick clerics rez and as soon as you where there, you didnt loot, you just started wailing, took us about an hour and a half and a mount of corpses later, 1 group got exps for it, they all are level 40 now. and most in that group where only level 33ish. Fun as hell, and a good way to get a few quick levels. down side is the skills you atain between those levels.
bad mis con i agree, but at least he's good for something.

A while ago I saw him and his chest peice(looks like sartooth flayed skin) He was blue to me (37 nec) I was going to kill him to get the it cause I saw another nec with it and liked it alot, but I didnt want to mess with my gnome faction in Velous so I said for get it and for awhile I was think of going back to kill him... MAN IAM I GLAD I READ ABOUT HIM FIRST!!!!! I would be deader than Pryiz in qeynos hill hehe. Oh and the post about He was holding 2 spectres is a load of bull, if everyone is posting that he hits for 177 and then you post "he hit for 240+" you need to use common sence say well if I want to post somthing thats not true but post for the hell of it anyway than I should sayt he hit for around what everone else is saying to make it beliveable (DUH)

i also tried to take him on with my lvl 34 iksar warrior he cone blue and so i thought hey maybe good exp WRONG he quad hit my for 170 i ran like hell cause i had gotten a sow before attacking him hey verant why dont you just make a lvl 1 that hits for 700!
