I cast my lowest resist root spell. The thing runs through it, hits me twice, I zone with 13% life. Even if you do zone, lag can make it so you get hit while zoning. I also get the message that it is immune to all changes in run speed.

Alright, I've soloed these since level 57 and heres the deal.

Being a necromancer, it is smart to use Dooming darkness, not cascading ... the resists you get from cascading and the mana it takes to cast is just not worth it. I cast Splurt first, then Pyro, then Cessation of Cor (resisted a lot, but good for aggro) They have about ... hmmm ... 20k or more hp, takes about 5 minutes per kill with level 61 pet on it now. I snare every 20% because the resists are high, and if darkness wears off, it is nearly impossible to restick unless you have sow/jboots with a Ceramic Skull of Decay or some other form of spell haste. After casting darkness, splurt, pyro, and cor, THEN SEND PET, make sure you type /taunt before you start up, make sure the pets taunt is OFF! Your pet will uber die bahaha .. yeah for real though it will ...

ONLY KITE THE ONES AROUND THE GY. All are level 60 at this area, never seen one a level off, and been here a good while. There are 4 total snarable in the zone, 1 sometimes goes into a rock near the left side of the GY, one is near the Wandering Spirit, and the other 2 are near the Vassals. The other larvae, the larger ones, are all immune to run speed and are impossible to kite unless you have some form of spell haste due to the long casting time of our good dot spells.

-*WARNING*- These are BUGGED. Will warp. Just as bad as being summoned, except it seems like you are the one summoning them. Usually hit me for around 500 ish and if I don't have an HP buff I'm dead ... if you see a larvae start to move IN PLACE that is when you need to move your ***, that is when it usually warps right under you. Be careful, had a GM come and watch me on Fennin Ro and they still haven't fixed the bug, atleast on our server.

The exp on these from 57-59 are about half a blue a kill or a little less ... at 60 its a full half, leveled to 61 easily in about 2 hours or a little more ... 61 is a lot slower though, but I'm sure if I kept to it I could level in about 5 hours :\ But Good luck, the best/easiest exp I could find for 57-61, besides the occasional death due to the warping. BE CAREFUL. Oh, and nothing else will aggro besides other larvae, large and small, be careful and be safe. Necros > Larvae

Been kiting these since level 55 (Bard). Takes about 9 mins per kill, and are decent xp for the effort, kinda boring, but most kiting is. I use them to get aa exp which is actually pretty nice.. i get about 1 gold per half hour.

they con even to 59. For the most part, you can't snare them, but occasionally it will stick on the small ones. Generally i just run around in a pretty tight circle and watch its health go down 1% a tick. Only loot i have seen is Ethereal parchments and larva remains (42 pp at 202 cha), but am trying to get Larvae's heart for AD Key.

Kiting these, i dont get adds from other critters (Frogs, etc) with the exception of vassels, which hate everything. If i swerve too close to another larva it will add however.

Been doing these with my sk, leveling him. Have gotten about 10 parchments off these in about 2 levels (61-62) with him.

I killed one of these tonight, a level 60 version that was un-rootable. Took 3 tries as the first time I mistimed a heal and 2nd time slow wore off. Fight lasted over 10 minutes and I reslowed 2x during fight. The way I did it was pop and fully buff pet, had KEI and full buffs myself. Get to max casting range and cast malosini which stuck. Then when worm gets close send in pet with taunting ON. The I cast slow and kite the worm until it turned on pet. Then just cast heals and JBB as needed. Has about 25-27k hps as JBB blasts took off 1% life. Let pet do all the work really. Not much XP, but not bad for 12 minutes work. Max hit was 434 min was 94 thats with 1005 AC. Will be alot easier to solo at 63 when I get 60% haste spell and Kraggs mending ( 1300 hp for 450 mana, fast cast ). Make sure you are near the ZO gravestone in case things go bad--one stun while an unslowed mob hits you and LOADING PLEASE WAIT...anyway hope that helps some. BTW did not summon.

From what I have noticed the large ones are immune to changes in run speed while the smaller ones are not.

I haven't quiet figured out the frog's yet as some of the same level frogs are immune then some are not... the ones that aren't don't seem to rage either.
