This merchant can be found in either Crows or just inside the gates, he has the worst prices I've ever seen, despite his claim to the best.

many years ago i cant believe i bought from this guy. i remember hunting rats and bats and selling to him to gain money. after about an hour of selling to him, i could barely afford to buy a stack of bandages. i just created a monk one month ago... he is now lvl 46. i remembered about tubal weaver and i decided to pay him a visit. lol. took this guy out in a couple of big hits, and everytime he attacked me i riposted and hit him again. i killed him right before he made it out of the front gate where the guards are. he died and the guards ran at me, and i FD'ed. guards forgot about me, and they probably didnt give a **** about tubal, because they know what we went through with his prices. they just wanted to do their jobs =P anyways, i felt alot better after killing this guy. hehe, for all of you who will read this post and say "wtf"? remember, this is a RPG game.
I KNEW IT!

I KNEW that guy was bad! Especially when I noticed his prices were insane! The sad thing is I keep seeing people go to HIM to buy/sell instead of taking the extra minute to get better prices at Sneed Galliway's!
Be warned

Tubal, a former HIGHPASS GUARD, will attack you if you constantly kill Jracol. Note, after you do this a few times, YOU WILL BE KOS TO HIGHPASS GUARDS/CITIZENS, which means you either much get a tele to the commons, or you must stay INVISABLE your whole stay in HighPass if you want to get to Freeport anytime soon.
Its best to leave Jracol alone, as I've spent the past 4 DAYS killing bandits in the Karanas to improve my factions with the HighPass Guards, this is only half of what you will have to do, you'll still have to improve your factions with HighPass Citizens so you'll have to improve your Guard faction enough that you can hunt the Gnolls at the gate of HP in order to gain some faction with the citizens
Wrong Info

There are many things wrong with this post. First is that Jracol is MUCH harder to kill than Tarbul. So if you can kill Jracol, then Tarbul is a sinch (as long as you have at least 3/4 of your life left). I leveled from 16 to 20 on just killing Jracol (yes, I am KoS in Highpass, but I don't really care). Secondly, Highpass is NOT the only way to get to the Commons (besides TP). You can walk through the Gorge of King Xorbb (not very dangerous as long as you avoid EE's and Minotaurs, who rarely come out), then enter Runnyeye, its a very short run thru Runnyeye to get to Misty Thicket (it takes like 4 seconds without a SoW, and the only thing you encounter are very low level Goblins). From here you can goto Rivervale, then kith, then to the Commons. I do this all the time (I con Warmly in Rivervale). Finally, killing Bandits will improve your guard faction, but that won't mean beans to The COallition of Tradefolk and the Coallition of Illegal Tradefolk, they are the merchants of Highpass and will not sell if you are KoS to them (the Illegal ones will kill you, as they are actually rogues) and the Cirizens (known as Volunteers as well), will KoS too. Not to mention if you kill Jracol more than 2 times you are KoS with Carson Mcabe (yes, Jracol has HUGE faction hits in the Highpass Area), if you are KoS with Carson, then you can forget about ever going to Highpass. Regardless of what faction you try to repair, you will be KoS until you fix the Carson McCabe faction first.

Speaking of wrong info:

Highpass Citizens, Highpass Merchants, and Highpass Guards are all their own factions. They have nothing whatsoever to do with Coallition of Tradesfolk, Legal or Illegal.

Killing Bandits (which I really, really like to do) improves faction with Qeynos Guards, Highpass Guards, Circle of Unseen Hands, and Merchants of Karana (IIRC) and only lowers faction with the Bandits themselves.

Note that killing Bandits will not in any way affect your faction with any of the factions in the Commonlands or Freeport.

during the time when loathesome individuals were running around, Tubal would walk outside of the city and stand 2 feet away from the zone. As a halfling thief of 14 seasons i saw this as a chance to use my pick pockets. I would steal from him until he attacked then zoned. no fuss, no muss. Then i zoned back in and pick his pockets some more. Managed to earn over 30pp from this guy.

Doesn't his name sound like some kind of insect?

"Honey, this years crop is ruined, eaten by those damn tubal weavers"

Apparently Weaver is connected to the named DE outside the Qeynos gates. After getting stuck in Qeynos during a rather nasty GM event in Qeynos Hills i started killing the named DE because at lvl 13 he was the only thing i found that gave me experience ... after killing him a couple of times i returned to qeynos and was immediately attacked by Tubal Weaver and killed.
Jracol

I guess I should stop killing Jracol then, Weaver won't sell to me anymore, but he has yet to be KOS to me...

Jracol's factions make no sense...

He's a smuggler from Highpass.

I would suggest against camping him much if you intend to hunt, or pass through, there at any point.

He's a smuggler from Highpass.

He's not. He's a Merchant from Highpass. Smugglers in Highpass are under Carson McCabe's faction.

I know this because, first of all, Crow said he was from Highpass. Second of all, my faction with everyone in Highpass -- Guards, Citizens, and Carson -- is Ally, except the Merchants, whose faction is next to impossible to improve (supposedly turning in Gnoll/Goblin/Orc Scalps to the appropriate Captain improves it, but I've yet to be anything other than Indifferent to any HHP merchant.)

So, he's a Merchant from Highpass who thought he could come into Qeynos and operate without clearing it with the friendly folks at the Circle of Unseen Hands. They are currently setting him up for a fall if you listen to the talk at Crow's.

#Anonymous, Posted: Apr 09 2000 at 1:34 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Why is this guy on the W Karana list? Doesn't he only spawn in N Qeynos? Just wondering.
