Dropped a Spined Seahorse Hide Breastplate today on Sayren.
I had a fabled agro on me and had a few adds. I quickly burned them down medded maybe a few minutes and the fabled was up again in normal spot. but does seem to me it should be fabled belt not whip. I was just farming deepwater inks and the 1st fabled jumped and surprised me and then another was up not long after kinda weird.

RAMPAGES alot thru fight and ENRAGE at low hp. Easy solo/duo with healer.

Was a blue con to my 65 Monk.
Well I would have thought that ppl would have wanted to see the belt become fabled instead of the whip. It sells very regularly for 26-29k on my server, but then again the fabled version of the belt would probably have a level restriction on it.
As it sits now, my belt farming days are limited due to soloing Fellspine becoming much more difficult due to fabled version being up. Him and a couple seahorses or swordfish are just too much to handle.

He drops the exact same loot table as the normal Fellspine except he always has the fabled tail in addition to the normal stuff. Last night in three spawns/kills he had the mask two times and the chest piece once. And, he had the both whips twice before also. He also drops the same random words/runes and deepwater inks and gems as the normal Fellspine. I am able to three box him with my Bard/Mage/Cleric combination but I always need a few heals since his hit points are up there but not astronomical for a lvl 65 mob. My dmg plus pet dmg plus mage nukes and cleric hammer pet took about 5 mins to kill.
The key thing is carefully pull all the mobs around him and those at your fighting spot so you dont get adds if you are soloing/grouping with less than optimal dps for your tastes.
He never runs, does enrage at 10%, does rampage, does flurry, does not cast any AOE dmg, straight melee fight, is slowable, doesnt swim faster than 200 (I was able to pull and not have him catch me), Is social-all swordfish/seahorses in aggro range will assist, hits for average 300 up to 800 max, does double attack.

This seems to be the case in a lot of the Velious fableds. SOE really missed the boat on a lot of the Fabled items. For instance, in Kael:
Fabled Statue of Rallos Zek, they fabled the swiftblade, instead of the Breastplate of Eradication. Not such a big deal. But, Fabled Avatar of War, that was a goof. A huge goof. It drops the monk legs, sweet item, fabled would be much nicer. The Helmet of Rallos Zek getting the fabled treatment would have been outstanding as it's still one of the better pre-time helms in terms of AC. The Blade of Carnage. Heh, yeah, fabled BoC would have been huge, as big guilds possibly could have been camping that. Nope, instead they fabled the Ring of Destruction. Granted, the fabled ring IS pretty nice, but it seems like they went out of their way to give the fabled treatment to the least desireable item he dropped.

Two different days last week I was in SG with a shaman guildie looking for ink when I saw multiple instances of this mob on track at the same time. Both days this happened more than once. We even had the pleasure of being jumped by one and having the other show up as an add. Good thing we were near the zone line!

Got him tonight 68 ranger, 70 cleric, 70 bard, and me (65 warrior). He dropped Fable Fellspine's Tail, non-fabled Fellspine's Tail, and Spiked Seahorse Hide Belt.
