I haven't seen a harpy in the zone, but I've seen several Griffons. Was this a mistake? Or just a really rare spawn?

Snow harpies have been seen in the eastern wastes, as well as snow griffins.

There are no Snow Harpies. I have worked all parts of this zone for several levels. What the original poster is describing is either a Snow Griffon or Elder Snow Griffon.

we killed one. red at 32 blue at 40. looted some cash and a hippogriff tallon (1wt ALL/ALL, sells for 'absolutly nothing' to merchant).
