Below lie spoilers. If you do not want spoilers, do not read the quest dialogue below. You have been warned.

There will be minor variations in the dialog depending on your alignment and whether or not you completed the Beastlord prelude.

You say, "Hail, Erus Dal'viv"
Erus Dal'viv says to you, "Ah, hello, Calinnya. I have been waiting for you."
You say to Erus Dal'viv, "I am pleased to meet you, Erus. I admit, I was not expecting to receive the message you sent."
Erus Dal'viv says to you, "Yes, I suppose it was a bit out of the blue. However, the Duality mentioned you by name, and asked that I do what I can to find you. I'm glad you've come."
You say to Erus Dal'viv, "What is it that I can do to help?"
Erus Dal'viv says to you, "Well, the Duality came into the possession of a book from a research hall within the castle of Mayong Mistmoore himself. It mentioned something about a "calendar" - possibly an object that Mayong found while researching the Chelsith Stone."
You say to Erus Dal'viv, "And the Duality believes this to be important, then?"
Erus Dal'viv says to you, "The Duality has taken quite an interest in the calendar mentioned within the notes as of late. He has long suspected he is missing a significant piece of the stone, and the notes he has seem to explicitly state that the calendar could be exactly what he is missing."
You say to Erus Dal'viv, "Are you planning to take the calendar from Mayong, then? Sounds like a risky endeavor..."
Erus Dal'viv says to you, "Indeed it would be, which is exactly why we aren't going to do that until we're sure we need it. Mayong clearly is a step ahead of us in his research, but the Duality believes he has a clearer picture of what the stone actually says. However, to finish our studies, we may very well need that calendar. We need more information on it."
You say to Erus Dal'viv, "Okay, where can we find it?"
Erus Dal'viv says to you, "The original lead came from underneath Nektropos Castle, in a secret library belonging to Lord Rikantus Everling. We believe that Lord Everling might have more information on the Chelsith Stone, or these symbols referenced in the notes."
You say to Erus Dal'viv, "So we are to search through his libraries once more?"
Erus Dal'viv says to you, "No, we intend to ask Lord Everling himself."
You say to Erus Dal'viv, "Wait... isn't he dead? How are you planning to do that?"
Erus Dal'viv says to you, "We don't think he's gone... we think he's still there, somewhere, channeled through a man in Antonica. We need to see if he can help."
You say to Erus Dal'viv, "All right, fair enough, but what do you think he can help with?"
Erus Dal'viv says to you, "His library contained many useful pieces of knowledge about the stone and the prophecy. He clearly did his own studies on the subject, even if his goal was a different piece of knowledge. The hope is that he might be able to help us understand more about the calendar."
You say to Erus Dal'viv, "Okay, how can I help?"
Erus Dal'viv says to you, "Meet with Taith McJarun in Antonica. He is out near Evernight Cemetery."
You say to Erus Dal'viv, "Very well, I will meet with him there. Farewell for now, Erus."

You have entered Antonica.

You say, "Hail, Taith McJarun"
Taith McJarun says to you, "Hello, traveler. What brings you out this way? You seem to be pretty far off the local roads here."
You say to Taith McJarun, "I believe I am looking for you, friend. Are you Taith McJarun?"
Taith McJarun says to you, "Ah, you must have been sent by Erus, then? He told us that we could expect more help here with Rikantus."
You say to Taith McJarun, "Have you attempted to speak with him yet?"
Taith McJarun says to you, "Indeed, several times. He either tries to talk about peddling his wares, or simply gives us glossy stares. "
You say to Taith McJarun, "What am I doing here, then?"
Taith McJarun says to you, "I would imagine that the Duality has a plan. We've been trying different things to get through to him, all to no avail."
You say to Taith McJarun, "Ah, that's what Firiona Vie is here for as well?"
Taith McJarun says to you, "Indeed, but even she couldn't speak with him. Whatever he has locked in his head may very well stay there."
You say to Taith McJarun, "Hmm... let me speak with Firiona. Farewell for now."

You say, "Hail, Firiona Vie"
Firiona Vie says to you, "Hello, Calinnya. The Duality mentioned you would likely be here."
You say to Firiona Vie, "Is that so? I guess you were expecting me, then?"
Firiona Vie says to you, "Indeed. This is the best lead that the Duality had on speaking with Lord Everling. There is scattered evidence that this "Rikantus" has channeled the spirit of Everling in the past, and may be able to do so again."
You say to Firiona Vie, "I see. I take it that the channeling doesn't last very long, then?"
Firiona Vie says to you, "Which is why we believe that we need to try to get the information from him quickly. We're hoping you can help."
You say to Firiona Vie, "What makes you think that I'll be able to draw the spirit back out? It sounds like no one here has had much luck."
Firiona Vie says to you, "I couldn't say for sure, but I believe the Duality's theory is that the spirit of Lord Everling somehow reacts to strong souls here on Norrath. That's why I was sent - he thought maybe I would be able to draw out the spirit. However, I merely received a few words about curios for my efforts."
You say to Firiona Vie, "I see... very well then, let me see what I can do. I'll return in a bit."

You say, "Hail, Rikantus"
Rikantus says to you, "..."
You say to Rikantus, "Greetings, Rikantus. My name is Calinnya, and I am here to speak with Lord Everling. We're hoping he will speak to us about a matter of great importance."
Rikantus says to you, "Calinnya? You... I know you..."
You say to Rikantus, "Lord Everling? Is that you?"
Rikantus says to you, "Can you hear it...? Can you... hear his cries?"
You say to Rikantus, "Cries? What are you talking about?"
Rikantus says to you, "As the barriers fall, so do we all."
You say to Rikantus, "I'm sorry, I don't understand. Do you know anything about the "calendar"? How it relates to the Chelsith Stone?"
Rikantus says to you, "The ring. The keys of fate belong to the ring. The ring belongs to the stone."
You say to Rikantus, "The keys of fate?"
Rikantus says to you, "The barrier cracks and I am divided. Leave the keys... leave them..."
You say to Rikantus, "Rikantus? Rikantus?? He must have faded again..."

You say, "Hail, Firiona Vie"
Firiona Vie says to you, "Ah, you are back! What did he say?"
You say to Firiona Vie, "Well, he was very cryptic. He mentioned something about barriers, and about a ring. I assume the ring is the calendar?"
Firiona Vie says to you, "It must be. What else did he say?"
You say to Firiona Vie, "He mentioned the keys of fate belonging to the ring, and that the ring belonged to the stone. All parts of a whole?"
Firiona Vie says to you, "It sounds like the Duality was on the right track, then... ugghh..."
You say to Firiona Vie, "Are... are you all right?"
Firiona Vie says to you, "I... I think so. I just feel really light headed all of a sudden. Something... something isn't right..."
You say to Firiona Vie, "Can I get you anything?"
Firiona Vie says to you, "What... what is haaapppeeenninnnggg??? AAAARRRGGGHHHHH! Folloooowww... the... ravennnnnaaahhhhh!!"
You say to Firiona Vie, "Firiona?? FIRIONA??"

Yes, SHE'S DEAD!
Yes, SHE'S DEAD!

Taith McJarun says to you, "What has happened? What did you do??"
You say to Taith McJarun, "Nothing, I assure you!! You were standing right here! What could I have done?"
Taith McJarun says to you, "This is terrible... we need to inform Erus what has happened here immediately."
You say to Taith McJarun, "Very well... let me go to him. I was the last to speak with her, so I can tell him what I saw."
Taith McJarun says to you, "Very well... we'll take care of Firiona, and get her body back to the Duality. Maybe he can think of what to do."
You say to Taith McJarun, "Good idea. Best of luck to you."

You have entered The City of Freeport.

You say, "Hail, Erus Dal'viv"
Erus Dal'viv says to you, "You've come back, Calinnya."
You say to Erus Dal'viv, "I have, but I am afraid I bear tragic news. Firiona Vie has perished, right before my very eyes!"
Erus Dal'viv says to you, "I see... tell me what happened."
You say to Erus Dal'viv, "It was unlike anything I can recall seeing before. One moment she was fine, and we were discussing the words of Rikantus, and then the next, she lifted into the air, surrounded by a brilliant blue light. Then, she fell to the ground, lifeless!"
Erus Dal'viv says to you, "I was afraid you were going to say that - it seems that this is beginning to happen with even more frequency now. "
You say to Erus Dal'viv, "Wait, this is something you've seen before?"
Erus Dal'viv says to you, "It is. Recently, some of the Deepwater Circle have been investigating issues such as these, attempting to discern exactly what might be causing the mysterious deaths. At first there were very few, spread over a great distance. But now... I'm afraid it's becoming common. Alarmingly common."
You say to Erus Dal'viv, "Have you been able to figure out anything at all?"
Erus Dal'viv says to you, "Only that the victims respond to no form of restoration at all. Whatever is happening to them, even our most powerful of healing magics seem to be completely useless."
You say to Erus Dal'viv, "So what are we to do, then?"
Erus Dal'viv says to you, "There isn't a lot we can do at the moment. However, with the death of Firiona Vie, I suspect the Duality will be making a more focused attempt to find out what it is that is happening in these deaths."
You say to Erus Dal'viv, "Why wasn't he doing that already? Anyone could be in peril now!"
Erus Dal'viv says to you, "Indeed, but unlocking the secrets of the Chelsith Stone has been his primary goal up until this point. Everything else has be shoved aside for it. Although this might make him change his mind."
You say to Erus Dal'viv, "Well, I don't feel like we have time to wait. We need answers before there's no one left to find them."
Erus Dal'viv says to you, "What are you planning to do?"
You say to Erus Dal'viv, "I don't know. Rikantus mentioned something about barriers breaking down before he faded back into his curse. I wonder if that could be a clue?"
Erus Dal'viv says to you, "Hmm... perhaps? Barriers to what, though? I wonder..."
You say to Erus Dal'viv, "Did you have an idea?"
Erus Dal'viv says to you, "No, I do not, but it might be something that the Duality can... wait... what is that?"
You say to Erus Dal'viv, "What do you see?"
Erus Dal'viv says to you, "A bird... it's just hovering there behind you."
You say to Erus Dal'viv, "A bird... a raven? Wait! Firiona said something about that before she died! Follow the raven, she said!"
Erus Dal'viv says to you, "How could she know...? "
You say to Erus Dal'viv, "Well, right now, it's the only lead I've got. I want to see where this goes."

You say, "Hail, Ghostclaw"
Ghostclaw says to you, "I do not know your name, but I know who you are."
You say to Ghostclaw, "Is that so? Who do you think I am, then?"
Ghostclaw says to you, "You are one to cross the veil. You are to cross where only one has before, and see what mortal eyes should never see."
You say to Ghostclaw, "Is this to stop the strange deaths we've been seeing? Is there something I can do?"
Ghostclaw says to you, "Perhaps, but before you do, you need to preserve your own soul first."
You say to Ghostclaw, "Wait, what do you mean? Is my soul in danger?"
Ghostclaw says to you, "As are all of ours. You can buy time before yours is taken."
You say to Ghostclaw, "Taken? By who?"
Ghostclaw says to you, "Words will not show you truth. You must see truth to know it."
You say to Ghostclaw, "How can I do that?"
Ghostclaw says to you, "I will show you. Go to Thundering Steppes, where I mark your map. Go swiftly, before your soul joins those that have already departed."
You say to Ghostclaw, "Very well, I will meet you there."

You have entered The Thundering Steppes.

You say, "Hail, Ghostclaw"
Ghostclaw says to you, "Hello again, destined one."
You say to Ghostclaw, "And hello to you. Now, what is it you want to show me?"
Ghostclaw says to you, "Do you know this place?"
You say to Ghostclaw, "No, I don't believe I remember this place."
Ghostclaw says to you, "It is where the great one known as Ilfanul removed the corruption from the Truespirit. Inside this place is a collection of stones, powerful with spiritual energy."
You say to Ghostclaw, "What must I do?"
Ghostclaw says to you, "You will find shreds of spiritual pain. You will see what is left when that which is not meant to cross is forced into the vortex. You must collect these remnants in this amulet."
You say to Ghostclaw, "What will that do?"
You receive Ghostclaw's Talisman.
Ghostclaw says to you, "These shreds hold fast to this reality. They will act as a shield to help you remain here, but they cannot protect you forever. Here is the amulet."
You say to Ghostclaw, "Thank you. I will return once I've collected the remnants."

You say, "Hail, Ghostclaw"
Ghostclaw says to you, "Do you have them?"
You say to Ghostclaw, "I do. I found the remnants, and managed to trap them within the amulet."
Ghostclaw says to you, "Hand the amulet to me."
You say to Ghostclaw, "There you are. I wanted to ask you about something, too. I saw... something. Something frightful attacked me while I was in there. It looked like some kind of spirit, but... different somehow."
Ghostclaw says to you, "This is not unexpected. Although the votrex pulls energy in, some will seep out. What you saw is likely a reflection of beyond. It is likely creatures such as that await the spirits on the other side. "
You say to Ghostclaw, "Can't we use these amulets to protect everyone?"
Ghostclaw says to you, "No. This will only work for those whose souls are already strong enough resist the pull. This will only work for a few. Keep yours, and you should be safe for now."
You say to Ghostclaw, "So what do we do in the meantime?"
Ghostclaw says to you, "You must follow. Follow as you did before."
You say to Ghostclaw, "Follow what?"
Ghostclaw says to you, "Follow the raven. It will show the way."

You say, "Hail, Ravinus"
Ravinus says to you, "Mortal, you have come."
You say to Ravinus, "Who are you?"
Ravinus says to you, "I am Ravinus, Truespirit Elder, and I have been watching what has been transpiring here on the mortal realm. You are in far greater peril than you realize, as are we all."
You say to Ravinus, "What is it that is happening?"
Ravinus says to you, "Spiritual energy is being drawn out of your world at an ever encreasing rate. Like the pouring of water from a bucket, it started slow, but now the flow increases."
You say to Ravinus, "Is this what happened to those who have died? To Firiona Vie?"
Ravinus says to you, "Their souls have been torn from their bodies through the places where the spiritual meets the mundane."
You say to Ravinus, "The Druid rings? Is that what I saw when I went into the alcove? Souls are bring drawn through them? To where?"
Ravinus says to you, "To Ethernere."
You say to Ravinus, "What, why? Why to the Grey Wastes?"
Ravinus says to you, "I do not know, but I know that the spiritual collapse that has befallen your world begun there."
You say to Ravinus, "What can we do to stop it, then? Is there a way to go there? Perhaps through the Druid rings?"
Ravinus says to you, "No. If you were to attempt to use that Druid rings to cross into Ethernere, your spirit would be ripped from your mortal body."
You say to Ravinus, "Then have you just come to tell me that we are doomed?"
Ravinus says to you, "I would not waste my time on something so trivial. No, I am here because this bleeding effect threatens the Truespirit as well. While we have been strong enough to maintain our hold here for now, eventually, this event threatens our existence."
You say to Ravinus, "So what are we to do?"
Ravinus says to you, "You will need to go To Ethernere."
You say to Ravinus, "Umm... Okay, isn't that a one-way trip? I thought that was where our souls went upon our deaths. Am I to die to save Norrath?"
Ravinus says to you, "If I thought your death would save the Truespirit, I would have slain you already. No, the Elders believe that only the living mortals of Norrath will have the power necessary to stop this event."
You say to Ravinus, "How will I do that then?"
Ravinus says to you, "I will open the way."
You say to Ravinus, "Wait... How?"
Ravinus says to you, "We believe your arcane spires, the ones you use for teleportation travel, will be sufficient for what we need to do. We will use them to get to Ethernere."
You say to Ravinus, "All right... Should I prepare to go now?"
Ravinus says to you, "No... I will need to work on one of the spires to prepare it for travel. It must be attuned properly before we can use it to pierce the veil of Ethernere. I will require assistance to do this."
You say to Ravinus, "Then you will be best served by speaking with the Deepwater Circle. They probably know the most about the spires, and could provide the best help for you."
Ravinus says to you, "Then inform them of my request. And tell them to hurry. Our time grows short."

You have entered The City of Freeport.

You say, "Hail, Erus Dal'viv"
Erus Dal'viv says to you, "I've been eagerly awaiting your return. What happened out there?"
You say to Erus Dal'viv, "It's... hard to explain, but I'll tell you what I found out. It seems that the spirits of those who have suddenly died recently are being pulled to Ethernere."
Erus Dal'viv says to you, "Ethernere? Why is it pulling spirits from Norrath?"
You say to Erus Dal'viv, "I don’t know… in fact, not even the Truespirit elder I met, Ravinus, seemed to know why this was happening. Whatever the cause is, though, it seems to be getting worse."
Erus Dal'viv says to you, "What can we do about it?"
You say to Erus Dal'viv, "Ravinus says that we will need to go to Ethernere. He believes that he can help us attune the spires to use them to cross into the Grey Wastes."
Erus Dal'viv says to you, "Hmm... the living walking the land of the dead? Is that even possible?"
You say to Erus Dal'viv, "I guess we will find out soon. I suggested that he meet with representatives of the Deepwater Circle, since they would be best able to help him attune the spire properly."
Erus Dal'viv says to you, "Indeed... and I will be willing to bet that given the circumstances, the Duality himself will want to oversee the operation. I will have to report this to him straight away."
You say to Erus Dal'viv, "What should I do in the meantime?"
Erus Dal'viv says to you, "Wait for his summons. I doubt it will be too long, as we will need to work quickly."
