I've found part of an old flail. It is missing the most important pieces that would allow it to actually be used in combat: the heads for its three chains. Flails were often used by the commoners who made weapons from whatever was handy. This particular flail appears to be pretty sturdy and if repaired will make a fine weapon.
Stage 1
I need to find the ends that attach to this useless flail. It might take some time to locate all of them. I'll start with with the defiled squires, who've been seen wielding similar weapons.
Start: | The defiled squires in Stormhold are a likely source for at least one of the flail's heads. |
---|
Complete: | I have found a flail head on a defiled squire. |

I've found a small metal ball in the shape of a cloud.Stage 2
Stormhold is teeming with undead knights. The defiled crusaders may have one of these heads on them, so it's time I paid them my respects.
Start: | I'm sure I will be able to find another flail head amongst the defiled crusaders. |
---|
Complete: | I have found another flail head on a defiled crusader. |
---|
I've found a metal ball in the shape of a raindrop on one of the defiled crusaders.Stage 3
Now that I have two of the three chains fitted with bludgeoning flail heads, I should see if I can find the third and last head. I'm fairly certain that one will be found on the defiled torrents.
Start: | There are defiled torrents throughout Stormhold. The last flail head will soon be in my hands. |
---|
Complete: | I have found another flail head on a defiled torrent. |

I've found a metal ball in the shape of a lightning bolt. I've found all three ends that attach to the chains of the flail. With some modern ingenuity, I've managed to reconstruct what was once merely a battered bit of wood, leather and chains. Paying attention to my surroundings certainly allowed me to find the parts I needed to repair this. Hence, I name this flail "Vigilance."
