I was also lucky getting mine...first kill. HOWEVER, the graphic is exactly the same as the gi they now give to a beginner bruiser for free! Of course the stats are nothing like the beginner one, but come on, how cheap with our graphics can we be Sony?

Got it first loot drop, mentored my RP wife and her IRL best friend/roommate, both just to do Bloodline Chronicles and so the best friend could get the gi. Didn't know it might be a rare drop until after I looked it up here on a lark.

I camped T'Feyd for this Gi last night with another monk friend, killed him 12 times and got the Gi twice, glad it hasn't been removed from game.

i've killed this guy, the named vampire Nilth T'Feyd in the Tombs of Night: Retribution, 67 times now and haven't seen the gi yet. I've seen a +12 wis bracelet, tattered robes, neonate cloth shoes, and torturing stick's. Maybe i'm just unlucky.

I Got one tonight after much hard work and confusion. Mine dropped off of the named vampire Nilth T'Feyd in the Tombs of Night: Retribution (the zone you will get when you are working on the "mysterious artifacts" quest.) Only took 12 times though we killed T'Dax over 50 with no results. (note: Nilth is in a different spot in "retibution" than in a "search for answers") More importantly IT DISAPPEARED WHEN I ZONED!!! Hopefully it will be fixed soon.... I WANT MY GI BACK!!!!

Why is there still no concrete information on where/how to attain this item? Somebody on the eq2players messageboard said a named vampire drops it in the Toons of Night. That's all fine and dandy, but then others claim it's quest related, etc, etc. C'mon already people, stop being so secretive and help us fellow Monks & Bruisers out.
