After returning to the NPC, he sends you after Wisps, around the druid ring.. then back and forth between the NPC's again, fusing the egg, then petting the leaper to claim it

never mind, hehe.. you must have been updating the quest spoiler as you were doing it, i refreshed the page to find the corrections i mentioned
