SOE All-Access Changes Update

Across all its social media feeds today Sony Online Entertainment announced:

UPDATE: To allow our technical teams more time to test the program and processes, the date for implementation of the new SOE All Access has been moved from April 2nd to April 16th, 2014. The FAQ has been updated accordingly!

These changes, which have been heavily modified since they were originally announced on January 3rd, can be seen on all SOE game forums, including the SOE Community forum

Their FAQ they released in January said that older rates would be honored: http://eq2.zam.com/story.html?story=33736

Honestly what is the point in having to pay for games that i have no interest in ever. I think we should go back to paying the 9.99 for the game that i want and let those that want the all access pay the 14.99. Oh yea lets not forget how many of those games are actually going to be around much longer?? Has anyone played the new game yet oh my god does it suck. I would rather play WoW than. its okay if you do nothing other than trade skills.

The "new game" is supposed to be tradeskill based. It's "inspired" by the hugely popular Minecraft. It is also in Beta and hasn't had all the features implemented (like more adventuring style aspects).

I think it's a bit early to be down on it.

That's not to say I'm interested in playing it at all, but Landmark isn't pretending to be an EQ replacement. It's a totally different kind of game using the Norrath lore.

The all access pass is a non-story. As Calthine has already said, they are giving us full access for what some of us were already willing to pay for one game. Not interested in the other games? Then don't download them or try them.

The good news is the way they're setting it up, you just pay the same and get all the other games for free. Play 'em or don't.
