Emily "Domino" Taylor Leaves EverQuest II

Good-bye, Domino!

Emily "Domino" Taylor, beloved Associate Producer of EverQuest II, announced on Facebook today that she's leaving EQII.  "... today is my last day on the EQ2 team and it's been nothing but the best times, the best of co-workers, and the best of players, all of whom I'll miss ridiculously much," she posted. Emily is best known for being the Tradeskill Developer who took Norrathian tradeskills from a harvesting and creation grind to a playstyle filled with lore, quests, and rich rewards. She made no mention of what she'll be doing next.

SOE Announced a new EverQuest II Producer, Holly "Windstalker" Longsdale, earlier this month.

I love to tradeskill and your ideas have come to life!!!!1 I love to craft in one form or another! With two lvl 90 and one a master crafter you have made the game a wonderful place to excape into!! You were a wonderful DEV wish you would stay! But even with the best of them we all do HAVE to move on sooner or later!!

wow. this is a sad day.
Domino, you did SO much for tradeskilling. You made it fun, and actually something with goals!
Best of luck wherever you go!

She was a great dev and a very nice person too, definitely a big loss for the EQ2 team although at least we can still enjoy her work for years to come, at least those in the US!
One comes..... one goes......

I wonder if these two events aren't related. Looks like someone was passed over and is feeling a little bad about it. Too bad. The tradeskill quest lines really are so much less boring in EQII than tradeskilling in many other games. So many changes in SOE games lately. Let's just hope that EQ2 keeps being well designed and fun to play.

I'm so sad about this. She was one of the few devs that kept my hopes up on this game. She will be missed. I hope she found a new job that gives everything she deserves.
