Server Mergers Delayed Until Sunday NightDec 15th, 2011 at 8:46 PM by Calthine

SOE releases a schedule for the delayed Vox > Nagafen & The Bazaar > Freeport mergers

The delayed Vox > Nagafen & The Bazaar > Freeport Mergers originally slated to start December 16th, have been delayed over the weekend.  According to their post on the official forums:

  • Vox will be going down on Sunday, December 18, 2011 at 11:59 PM PST.
  • Nagafen will go down on December 19, 2011 at 5:00 AM PST.
  • The Bazaar and Freeport merge is scheduled for December 21, 2011 but we do not yet have an exact time for this.
The server merges will take approximately 24 hours to complete once they have started.  Watch this space for updates and more information as it becomes available!  During the downtime you are welcome to join us in the #EQ2 channel of ZAM's IRC chat. Feldon of EQ2Wire also has set up a ZAM IRC java applet that you can use.

What would it take for them to delay this merge downtime till after moonlight , its a day from a very limited time event, plus another day lost from the other world events

Got a tricky question.
I'd like to know what is going to happen to the Discord (black/gold) Battleground armor sets that were exclusive to the Vox/Bazaar servers. Are they going to be available for all servers? Or just going to disappear?

Ok. I am here posting on behalf of my wife. We both play EQ2 religiously with gold accounts. We all know about issues that SOE had during the AoD release and the extended downtime. This happened right at the end of the city festival and there was no extension of the event to make up for the lost time.

Now freeport is going to be down due to the merger right in the middle of moonlight enchantments. My wife is heavy into these events each month (its how she keeps me rich so I can just focus on playing..hehe).

While my reasoning is different than LadyDay I agree. Please do the merger sometime after the first of the year. You have people who are taking vacations from work or home from school. The last thing they want is to not be able to play the game because it is down for those 24 hours. It just seems to me that the timing could be much better.

Large Text i have no idea why SOE would be doing more stuff to eq2 when it is bugged as hell as is.......since the live and extened games were merged.......


i beg you and im sure lot of others would to ............dont do this till the new yr maby mid jan.....


as i it eq2 is buggy as hell and lag from hell is making it nearly impossible for me and probly others to ...........even play the game as we should.....it is not going to indear ppl to pay for subs when yu cant play the game!!!


your gona lose more money via subs and ppl buying sc ..........i was going to do my usuall sub (i was going to try the access pass this time)
but NO WAY now till the bugs and stuff are fixed .......since i cant play the game as i normaly can.........SOE loss


so please stop messing with the game and fix whats not working first

or pay the consiquences ppl not subing for the holidays buy sc ect...
