GU60 Preview: New Prestige Homes

We take a look inside the new prestige homes coming to EverQuest II in Game Update 60.

The upcoming Children of War update has many features and additions for every type of game play. Today we take a look at two additions that are sure to be a crowd-pleaser with decorators: two new prestige homes!

The deed to the Luxurious Kromzek Keep is expected to be obtained as a Fortress of Drunder raid drop. Players can access the keep through a portal in either South Freeport or South Qeynos. This home boasts grand statues, spacious rooms and soaring heights. Inside the keep decorators can enjoy filling eight rooms including a grand hall and a small treasury.

Entry to the Thurgadin Grand Hall is gained by passing through the massive door in the back of the Thurgadin Exchange. This prestige home is composed of wood, velium and rune-etched stone, showcasing the finest of the Coldain's architecture. An open room of waterfalls and a fountain can be found deeper inside the grand hall. The deed to this home is expected to be in the Marketplace in early June.

Continue after the jump for video tours of both prestige homes!

I agree. I too would love some basic options.
Can I get some basic houses?

Great house tours! Looking forward to seeing more prestiege housing in EQ2. Only issue I see is that most of what's been offered so far is really too ornate. Sure the houses look nice from the start with very intricate walls, high ceilings, and other beautiful features and perhaps this is what people like. I just wish there was one or two for those like myself that enjoyed decorating the walls ourselves and coming up with creative ways of doing things. I'd like to see an old school house like the current ones in Queynos and Freeport that you could alter the walls, floor, and ceiling with optional color and designs. Perhaps even offer some ornate designs in addition to some standard fare choices. The ultimate customizable house if you will. Not saying the current offerings aren't good, just saying I'd like to see some that allowed for more creativity on the owners part.

Great tours! Thanks for making them available. Was there any sound in the room with all the waterfalls?

From listening to the video, it's very faint, but there is sound in the waterfall room. I hear water and a bit of a cavernous type sound.

I have to admit that I'm not sure! I just double checked the volume of the video and it didn't pick up any extra sounds in that room. If there was it must've been quiet enough (due to size) that it didn't pick up on it.. or possibly I had a sound effect setting turned down.

edit: Logged in to check.. you can hear the waterfalls, but my ambient volume was turned down to half so the video didn't pick it up. :)
