I don't get to see the last 10 minutes because Charter froze right at 9:50.

Seems to be all over for Charter users too. People saying from Texas... Not sure about other providers.

It wasn't much, just setting up the midseason finale. It's not like the episode won't play like a million times between now and next week.

Little disappointed there was no Jesus, and the episode felt like a rehash of the entire series. Just people talking about how they're affected and how THERE IS STILL HOPE! etc etc. My biggest question about that ten minutes and therefore spoilered again is why wasn't Rick working on that part of the wall? Pieces of that tower were falling off and the whole thing was creaking. I can't imagine that was more subtle than a trickle of blood through a hole, especially considering he was working right next to it. Talk about contrived.

One more spoiler. During Into The Badlands there was a short clip of Glenn talking about the audience reaction to his alleged death and how it made him feel, and all I could think was how pissed Andrea's actor must be for how everyone was happy she died.

I like how in the Talking Dead they "un- memorandum'd" Glenn, for now.

Allegedly Lucille's introduction to Team Rick has already been filmed, so for now may not be all that long.

On another note, what do you think the odds are of the mid-season finale ending with Carl getting shot by the Son of Porch ****?

Hey, let's fill a traumatized little boy's head with vague nonsense about how necessary it is to kill people to stop oneself from "becoming a monster" and see what happens. Bonus points for leaving a helpless baby in the vicinity. Then after he's gone and done something terrible we can kill him execution style yay Carol!

The girl that was with Glenn last season before Sanctuary? I think her name was Tara. Is she pregnant or is that a different girl all together? She looks bigger, but not ate too much bigger.

Mundane mid-season finale, and worst of all no Negan. Damn unreliability of unnamed sources. No Jesus either, but wasn't really expecting him. If it weren't for Deanna it would have been a complete waste of an episode. RIP in peace, Berserker. Nice of Sam to try to get everyone else killed as the episode ended.

Those Pride & Prejudice & Zombies trailers are looking good.

I'm with Jason Alexander on this one. How did no one turn around and slap Sam upside his head?

Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Entertainment Weekly, about language wrote:
The character itself is going to be as close as humanly possible. [...] Look, it's a speed bump. I'm not going to say it's an issue because they're working on it. We're going to push AMC -- the plan is to push them as far as they can because it's who Negan is. He uses some colorful language. And I use some colorful language. And reading the comic, it's important. So we'll see where that lands. It's our intention that this character is going to leap off the pages of the comic book. It's very important that that’s who it is. Some of the characters there's much more leeway, but Negan is a guy that you want to keep as true as possible, and that would be how I want to play him as well.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Walking Dead and casting wrote:
So a couple of years ago people started saying, 'Hey, man, you should be Negan in "The Walking Dead."' So I started reading the comic books just because I'm a fan and I love what [Robert] Kirkman is doing and so I was very aware of Negan and had read quite a bit of the comic books. So my agent and manager were on the phone and said, '"The Walking Dead" have offered you this thing,' but they didn't have any information. They didn't know the character’s name. It was all a big secret.

And they sort of got halfway through the sentence saying 'We don't know the character's name, he’s the new big bad…' and I knew immediately who they were talking about," he continued. "They just got halfway through and I knew immediately who it was. It was no question. I was like, 'Absolutely. We're going to f—ing do it!' And that was it. And literally a week later I was in Atlanta talking with the cast and hanging out."

"Good" news for Maggie, as it has been revealed that Xander Berkeley has been cast as Gregory, the mayor of the Hilltop community, one of the other groupings of people and walls after the not-called-zombies apocalypse.

Speaking of Maggie... I've seen a trailer on TV quite often now showing her being a babysitter for a crazy old couple's boy who is a creepy possessed doll.

Notable features being her running around in a towel. Smiley: thumbsup

Yeah. She's in all kinds of stuff, and thangs. I saw her on Law & Order a few weeks ago, and there's some B comedy movie where she goes into unfunny frontal nudity.

I'm assuming you are talking about the Van Wilder spinoff with Taj? (I'm not sure I know of anything else she was actually nude in, if even only for a couple seconds). But I think she did that before she started the Walking Dead.

I feel bad I didn't recognize her, though I saw the trailers for The Boy ... I think that was the name of the movie. Creepy Doll.

I do not like creepy doll movies all that much. I'd probably watch it on the movie channels when it moves to one of them, just to see if Lauren Cohen shows a bit of skin.

Now that we're about a week out from the show returning, Norman Reedus says that "There's some large things that happen to us in the back half [of Season 6]. We don't all survive, and we don't all take it very well."

So baseball season.

Show returns this Sunday, and a Russian Fox affiliate has potentially spoiled a fairly major scene. Image

Boom.

Annoying kids, gone. Problem solved. Carl just became cool. His little girlfriend's gonna be all over that.

Rick never got to tap that...

Edit:
This new color... hmm.

I laughed way harder at that then I probably should have.

First half of the season was so weak that I'm glad this episode really kicked it up to eleven. Can't imagine the rest of the season will be that intense, at least until Negan and Lucille show up.

Got to say I felt just a little bit sick from that episode. I mean, couldn't they have worn their gut-covered sheets over their head like a hood kind of? It would have probably been a little less obvious then. Even Carol had sense enough to put zombie guts on her face that one time. I also kind of think the whole thing could have been avoided if Sam had gone with Gabriel.

Great episode overall. That bit at the beginning might just be the greatest moment of the entire series. NIBBLE ON THAT! AHAHAHA!

Having such a good time with Rick & Daryl's Excellent Adventure and Jesus' ninja shenanigans, then the show just goes and punches you in the gut. Little disappointed with the time skip, there's a few scenes during that in the book with Carl that would have been nice details. Also they really under did that bandage, since a large chunk of his face is supposed to be missing. Michonne taking over Andrea's role. Well, someone was going to. Guess Sasha is gonna take her place with Ezekiel and Shiva. Character musical chairs! Overall enjoyed the Jesus moments, especially since I've been waiting since the end of the Prison arc.

Edit: I'm pretty ambivalent to the existence of Talking Dead, but there's now one for Better Call Saul? Why?

It seems to be done on a lot of shows now. I think producers and networks feel that it will drum up the shows popularity if they make it look like there are a bunch of fans that want to talk about it. I think Walking Dead is a pretty unique in that there actually are a bunch of fans that want to talk about it.

But a lot of shows try forcing it. I'm pretty sure Bates Motel on A&E had one for a while. I know Wil Wheaton did one, and I don't recall exactly what show it was.

I haven't really attempted to watch any of the other A&E shows for partly that reason. It's like when they were trying to desperately force Into the Badlands on everyone by pushing Talking Dead back or putting Walking Dead previews in the middle of it as if they're trying to get their dog to take heart worm medicine by hiding it in a cheeseburger.

I remember being equally shocked by the Bates Motel after-show. Norman should be coming back soon.

Every chance to splash Rick's face with gallons of red dyed corn syrup. Hilltop looked amazingly book accurate, to the point I felt like squealing when it panned over the blacksmith shack. The whole episode should have been called Red Flag. I know who is supposed to die in the book, but I'm betting it's going to be one of those changed things, so I'm going to go ahead and place fake money on Abraham in the dead pool.

There's a clip of next season's Fear the Walking Dead where there are some zombies with life vests, and I was way more amused with myself calling them Floaters than I probably should have been.
