Flash, this episode, Plastic Man seems to have been a welcome addition to the series. All the versions of Wells was a fun little side thing. Plastic Man and Flash at the start completely ignoring the mugger, and then the whole "Stop shooting yourself, stop shooting yourself."

Looks like there is a CW Crossover coming up the week after Thanksgiving. Says it's two days. I am assuming that means Monday and Tuesday, Supergirl, Flash, and Legends. Arrow will probably be out again. And I assume it will only actually involve Supergirl through a 30 second blurb at the end of the episode leading into what amounts to a two part episode on Tuesday with Flash/Legends.

If the overall trend of the channel's shows are any indication, prepare for a lot of "subtle" political commentary since the bad guys are Fascist/Nazi versions of the title characters.

The whole "stop shooting him!" sequence and the Council of Wells scenes were gold, though I wish they kept Wizard Wells around. The main plot was pretty meh, and I'm pretty sure the whole "Indian With Powers Over Totems" was mildly racist (and therefore unintentionally funny)

What's His Name that place Jefferson seems to have like zero acting range. He was not very convincing as Stein.

Deadpool 2 teaser. With a few little happy trees.

Starting tonight on SciFi, at Midnight 11pm EST they are showing some animated Justice League movies.

Legion of Doom tonight
Crisis on Two Earths on Thursday
Flashpoint Paradox on Friday

I haven't seen Crisis on Two Earths or Legion of Doom. Flashpoint Paradox animated film was good. I guess Crisis on Two Earths is the storyline that the CW Crossover event will be based on?

Edit:
Started watching Legion of Doom, and got about half way thru to around where Savage and his crew are successfully defeating all the super heroes. I ended up getting really tired so I decided to just go to sleep. Plenty of chances to finish off the movie later (though, I did not set to record, I'm sure I can find them streaming). It was holding my interest though, just too tired since it was Midnight. Annoyingly though they had some sort of Sci Fi Live Twitter banner thing scrolling along the bottom with people saying stuff about random **** like Stranger Things.

Strangely enough though, I woke up and turned my TV on, still on Sci Fi. And they were airing episodes of CSI. Didn't strike me as a Sci Fi type show.

First, thanks for that. I missed the first hour. Smiley: motz Second, digging through the guide they're also marathoning all three movies on Saturday starting 1000am EST so there's the second chance to catch them all.

Apparently Rotten Tomatoes accidentally released their Justice League yesterday, and before it was taken down it was at the high 40%s. Most of the complaints seem to stem from the movie's less-than-blockbuster level CG, pacing, villain and Superman's resurrection scene, but most concede that it's also better than BvS, MoS, and Suicide Squad which is like being the best Thor movie. Guess I'll check a cam over the weekend.

You know, between episodes of The Punisher.

Looks like there's going to be reason to watch Fear the Walking Dead next season as Garret Dillahunt joins the cast. Is there any role that man can't handle? Man is freakin' everywhere.

New rumor from Deadline, placing James Franco (starred in pretty much everything in the early '00s) as Jamie Madrox, the Multiple Man. If true, here's hoping it's the later version of the character that was kind of sort of a detective set just after the M-Day storyline. Also involved in the rumor is Wonder Woman's writer Allan Heinberg will be responsible for the screenplay and at one point Matthew Vaughn's name was brought up as possible director. All pretty good signs.

I blame my brother on that one. He came out of his room and said "Sci Fi is showing Justice League movies for the next three days at Midnight". And I opened the guide to just see their names, didn't actually check start times. Smiley: oyvey I just happened to switch over to Sci Fi shortly before 11 cause nothing was on, to see what if anything they were showing before it. Turns out it was CGI-Suit Ryan Reynolds Green Lantern.

Good to know they are going to show them all Saturday. That'll give me something to tune into since nothing I watch airs on Saturday.

Edit:
Tried to watch Gotham and Orville tonight. Local Fox Station took a ****.

"This network is currently experiencing technical difficulties".

Guess I won't be watching new shows tonight...

Gotham was pretty good, if you exclude the Meg Bruce scenes. Though disappointing there wasn't anything with Nygma and Solomon Butch.

Looks like the premiere date for CW's next social commentary disguised as a super hero show Black Lightning has been set. It'll start airing January 16th, at 0900pm EST, following The Flash. Which means it'll be taking Legends of Tomorrow's place. According to the report, after the midseason break LoT will return on a new night in February, while Supergirl will return January 15th, The Flash on the 16th, and Arrow on the 18th[/sup]. If I were to bet, I'd place LoT on Monday after Supergirl to keep the blocks kind of even.

Daisy Ridley, Josh Gad, and Luke Evans are attached to a new Netflix show called Super-Normal, which is described as "a character-driven subversive take on the genre that Hollywood and the rest of the world loves too much." Josh Gad is also producing it with Dan Lin, and Jonathan Eirich of Lin Pictures, and it's being scripted by the people that worked on Moana, Aaron and Jordan Kandell.

I liked Justice League. Some of the jokes were funny, some were... awkward. And a handful felt out of place. Flash was... disappointing. Mostly cause he was, I think, under utilized. I think Gal Gadot's Ass may have had more face time than Flash (Or Aquaman, Or Cyborg). They seemed to make him autistic. Or somewhere on "the Spectrum". I'm not a comic reader, so I don't know much beyond what is shown in TV and Movies. The scene were he lands face down in WW's chest and quickly gets up before anyone notices then looks around nervously. A bit funny, but ultimately felt out of place.

I didn't care much for Cyborg. The character was pretty "Emo". But, still says "Boo-yah!" at the end. Which while, yes, that is the Cyborg most people know... again did feel a bit out of place with the movie.

Key scene mid movie Superman's Resurrection, and Recovery, summed up in just about as much time as they spent on it in the movie (In case that link doesn't go to the right time... 37 seconds in).

The big baddy... WW explains the whole character while walking by a lake. You don't see much in terms of his character. You just hear it. And I think they could have done better than a 100% CG villain.

The End... Another out of place comedy scene. "I work with a bunch of Children." As they all laugh and chum it up. That scene seemed to be more of a failure of Cyborg's character development. Up til then he had been the whole "Emo" thing. Then he starts joking about feeling his toes.

It feels weird to criticize a movie for its comedy scenes, when previous movies building up to it have been criticized for being too serious. But I guess once you started with the serious, and then try to sprinkle in some laughs, it's easy to get it wrong.

After Credits (clip during, and at the very end). Superman vs Flash race. A nice little joke with a call back to the beginning of the movie. I liked it.

Last one. Lex and Slade. Sure, was hoping for something a bit "Dark"er. Only time he was mentioned (I think) was when Steppenwolf randomly says "For Darkseid!" once.

Still enjoyed it. My brother doesn't watch the DC movies in theater though.

Trailers:

Black Panther... I dunno, feels like a Marvel filler movie to me. I'm not all that excited for it, but will likely still watch it.

Quiet Place... Something hunts people by sound. And tip-toeing everywhere makes it so you can survive. It would not surprise me at all if it was an M. Night Shamalamadingdong movie (I haven't bothered looking it up).

Ad for the Punisher (Thanks for reminding me Movie Theater, I forgot it came out this weekend).

Nothing all that good. Oh wait. Pitch Perfect 3! Ya!... Smiley: oyvey No matter how happy my penis might get looking at Anna Kendrick, I'll pass.

Edit:
OK. I forgot one trailer.
Rampage. With Jeffrey Dean Morgan. That alone makes it a step up.

Justice League. I liked it.

It's not as good as Wonder Woman, but it's also a much better effort than the DCU has put forth in the past. There is much story, basically, Steppenwolf shows up, steals some stuff he needs to start the apocalypse, the Justice League gets together and eventually stop him. Some of the character interaction is fairly solid, some of the jokes are funny, and some of the action is entertaining. You'll notice I said "some", that's because some of it fails as well. The biggest problem I have with movie is the competing styles. The action scenes have a very comic feel to them, everything else has a more realistic look. It's a bit jarring when they switch back and forth. That said, it's worth watching, there's enough good in there that I didn't mind cost of admission.

The Punisher. I also liked it.

Solid acting (except for Dinna's partner, he's pretty bad), strong action, a little lite on story. Definitely better than The Defenders. Biggest complaint, Frank spends more time as Frank than the Punisher. He spent more time as the Punisher in season two of Daredevil, than he does in his on series. I suppose you could argue that the two are one and the same, that he doesn't need to have the skull body armor on to be the Punisher, but it's a small complaint anyway. The side story with the Wilson kid, the one with PTSD seemed a bit shallow. They could have done a better job with that. Overall though, very entertaining.

I was mostly preoccupied over the weekend, so I didn't really see anything. Saw a couple of episodes of Punisher today, though. Into the third episode, and so far the show is okay. Not a particular fan of turning Castle's simple story ("Family ded, so make crime ded.") into an elaborate conspiracy theory. It's not horrible, and there's definitely worse Punisher storylines in existence, but I guess we'll see if it pays off in the end. Also how easily Micro knocks him out. I mean, really? WTF? I love Bernthal, but man his screaming like Sylvester Stallone during his rage-fits got old fast. Liked the callback to Daredevil S2 with the Major and his hand.

Gifted is going to get messy, fast. Not 100% sure I'm into the way the story is unfolding with the siblings. But it is what it is.

Supergirl wasn't all that interesting. But looking at next week's crossover. It's a 4 parter. 2 on Monday and 2 on Tuesday.

1 Supergirl
2 Arrow (Surprising... and moved to Monday)

3 Flash
4 Legends (I assume, my box ended at Flash, 3/4).

I kind of like how it went DEEPEST LORE this episode. The whole twins contact to use their powers thing, their ancestor's names (Andrea and Andreas), pretty much comic accurate. A few differences, like their having abilities without skin contact, the obvious time period, and that the genetic testing in the show was to prevent powers and not give powers like in the books, but over all that's some commitment to the source material.

There's possibly an R-Rated animated Harley Quinn series on the way from Powerless executive producers Justin Halpern & Patrick Schumacker and Dean Lorey for DC's Streaming Service. There's also talk that they're going to approach Margot Robbie to voice the Clown Princess of Crime. So that's like four or five reasons I don't want to check it out.

A video from Screen Crush about the similarities between Justice League and The Avengers.

Oh **** I just found out that the first three episodes of Hulu's The Runaways is out today. Now I'm not sure if I like shows coming out in parts like this and The Tick or all at once like Marvel's Netflix shows. All I know is my watch list is getting overloaded either way between regular tv, movies, and streaming services. Almost makes all that torture I took in the 80s and 90s over being a comic book geek worth it.

Flash: I really thought DeVoe was going to be monitoring from a Future/Alternate reality and that the team would be interacting with a past version of him. I like the character though.

Legends: I like Grodd episodes. The other guy playing his version of Rory was pretty good.

Ray: First Lady pie is pretty good!

Also:
Rory: If you guys ever have kids and one of them when he's eight years old accidentally sets fire to the living room rug... Go easy on him.

Flash: I think it was funny how all of Barry's friends left him out to dry over DeVoe. On one hand, you'd think they'd give him the benefit of the doubt considering all the giant monkeys and time traveling speedsters they have fought. On the other hand Barry does tend to ruin everything without thinking so a little suspicion makes sense. Also Wally's hair. Still laughably horrible.

LoT: I can take or leave Grodd episodes. The first appearance was neat, but those Monkey Nation episodes really dragged annoyingly. Rory episodes, though, are always gold.

There's some rumors oozing out about how Joss Whedon might not be working on a Batgirl movie anymore. Based mostly on the letter his ex-wife wrote about how horrible of a person he apparently is, and not Justice League - though I think it's probably both.

Also one about Jude Law being in negotiations for a role in the Captain Marvel movie with Brie Larson, as her mentor. Looks like Variety is confirming that Jude is going to be Doctor Lawson, aka Mar-Vell, aka the original Captain Marvel. Neat, have always been saying he's necessary to the story, but also kind of sucks he'll be dead real quick like so Danvers can take over. Or he'll just be flashback material.

I got kind of pissed when it ended. After 17 minutes I forgot I was watching a sneak peak.

Also, I kept expecting the new Doctor(ess?) to show up.

Hey Arnold, the Jungle Movie aired on Nick over the weekend. Nice little nostalgia trip. Arnold finds his parents and lives happily ever after.

Apparently the dead beat who mooches off his wife and lives in Arnold's boarding house is no longer married. His wife made no appearance in the show. They didn't say anything about it.

If you liked the old show, you'd probably like the movie. Wraps it all up well enough.

Yeah, that clip ends in a weird place but you can't really deny it's effectiveness in piquing interest.

I saw Coco. It's on par with the rest of Pixar's library. Great animation, great music, great story. Gets really dark for a kids' movie.

Some movement for Daredevil: Season 3. Wilson Bethel has been added to the cast in a "crucial role," and he "will portray an FBI agent who will play a critical role in the conflict between Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk." There was a character description recently for a character:
DDs3 wrote:
[STEVE] 28-35, 5’9-6’1, Open ethnicity. An athletic but socially awkward FBI Agent, needs structure and rules to suppress the darkness inside himself. Athletic with medium build, responsible and resourceful, hair trigger temper. SERIES REGULAR
So that's a possibility. Some are speculating that "Steve" is actually going to be Stanley Carter, who starts as a SHIELD agent that transfers to the NYPD, When his partner is killed, Carter dons a mask and sets about exacting justice against those he feels have abused their power or authority in some way. Unlike The Man Without Fear, however, Sin Eater doesn't leave his victims breathing. Kind of like Punisher, but a less specific target list.

James Franco confirmed his involvement with the Multiple Man movie project.
James Franco wrote:
I don’t know how much I can say. But I will say I am producing and performing in it. It’s early stages. I think probably what I can say is, like anything, there’s a need to develop more.

Our bottom line MO is, how can we push this into new ground? A little bit, but still make it entertaining? [But] what I love about what Simon Kinberg and Fox and the X-Men people have done with Deadpool and Logan - it took a while to get there, maybe 10 years - but they are going to go hard R. And we’re going to take this superhero thing and really just push it into a new genre. So we’re working with Simon Kinberg on an X-Men property.

Nazi Arrow shot more arrows in the first minute of the crossover than either Arrow for the past two seasons. It was all pretty good (Except for Felicity ruining everything, as usual) until the last act of Supergirl when it started to get preachy, about how men are reprehensible for one night stands, and "Make America Aryan Again." Good seeing Wells as Reverse Flash (or was it Zoom? I always get the two confused), though at the same time did it have to be the Eobard and not Earth-53 version like everyone else? The Arrow half was okay, excluding the Felicity stuff again. Last half of the crossover is tonight. Cisco should be waking up and rescuing everyone. Pretty sure the way-too-enthusiastic caterer is going to end up being Barry and Iris' daughter from the future, because that's what the show does.

Vaguely speaking of, the petition to Make Justice League Great Again seems to be plagued with tons of fake signatures ... much like every other online petition ever.

The entire thing was a little too... emotional... for my tastes. Alex x Supergirl going at it over love and loss and emotions. Gray and Black Guy going at it over Father/Son relation. Oliver and Felicity going at it over their relation. The only one that I was ok with was Barry x Iris, but that's because they are already built up into their current Wedding.

Cut the emotions by about... 3/4ths and continue on.

In Supergirl could see Sarah wiping the drool from her mouth once Alex says "She" as a correction for her breakup assumption. And you could see the events playing out a mile away once Alex and Sarah were in the same room. I'm OK with more Sarah x Alex scenes. But as long as Alex doesn't talk anymore.

Why do they gotta make Alex so whiny. Isn't she supposed to be this bad *** DEA Agent?

Everything: The preachiness was pretty heavy for a moment or two, but at least it was relatively compacted. They just focused a lot on these Relationship Emotions instead of the Nazi-Super-Villians "white-power" phrases. There was so much usage of "Fatherland" though. I'm pretty sure Nazi-Arrow said Fatherland half a dozen times in a single sentence.

Both episodes could have used more Mick. Was kind of funny when he wanders into Iris and Caitlin and they ask him why he wasn't out there helping. "What Mission?" Everyone forgot about him and didn't even tell him what they were planning or make a role for him.

Probably ranks up to the top of the CW Crossovers. Not hard to beat out the alien one and the Control Freak Music Meister, but it was not that bad, preachiness aside. And it really was more real story than just filler.

They definitely didn't tone down the emotions.

I... don't think Gray is dead. Just seems odd to kill him off in a show like this. They'll probably find out that Jackson's voice in his head is Gray's actual consciousness.

Good ,Gay Captain Cold... Not sure I liked his character. The cocky voice of his is kind of annoying to begin with honestly, but now as a goody-two-shoes I dunno. Just made him annoying. Probably on purpose, but still.

It was the better crossover, but that third part had me raging so hard. What kind of military force, capable of controlling an entire world for hundreds of years, just lets people onto their main base just because he looks like their leader? Especially when they know that there's a doppleganger running around? You don't verify an identity after you let them in, damnit.

I knew they were writing Gray off the show, but I didn't think it was on such a down note. Then again, how often does the guy talking about returning to his family ever survive in war movies? Hindsight, but I guess we should have seen it coming.

And I happened to like Gay Cold. His overly excitable optimism was a good counter to the mostly morose scenes he was in. And if the brief clips they showed during the credits is any indication he'll be interacting with Mick in the next episode of LoT so that should be interesting to see.

Overall, Felicity ruined everything. Even at the end she needed to be the center of attention and wrecked Barry's and Iris' wedding.

Saïd Taghmaoui has left Legion's second season for undisclosed reasons. He was going to be the "real" version of the Shadow King. He was pretty good in Wonder Woman so that's a hit to the show, but considering it's the Shadow King it's not like he's difficult to replace. We'll see.

And the awaited Avengers: Infinity War trailer. It's a bit on the lackluster side, but if the DCEU has proven anything it's that an amazing trailer doesn't lead to an amazing movie.
Statement from the WB wrote:

Ya, I hated that part. The worst part is the guy that was interacting with him the most was the guy that literally just tried to execute him, and watched as he escaped. The whole thing was just an excuse to get Earth-1-Oliver in a position to have to shoot Earth-X-Felicity.

Gay Captain Cold bringing more Mick would be a bonus. And I'm sure he'll get better as he goes. I really didn't like regular Captain Cold's voice to begin with. It was funny when Mick called him a Gangbanger instead of a Doppleganger. I'm sure I read a bit more filth into that comment then was intended. If Mick and Earth-X-Cold start interacting a lot in the next half of the season and moving forward... you think they'll actually crack crude gay-jokes with Mick? Seems it'd fit his character, but probably not the network...

I doubt they'll be particularly crude, but I can't imagine Mick not cracking jokes about Snart.

The Flash is bringing in Kendrick Sampson to play Brainstorm/Dominic Lanse, an "affable TSA Agent who becomes the unwitting recipient of meta-human powers. Now Dominic bears the gift and curse of reading people’s thoughts, whether he wants to or not." Which is kind of weird, because he's more of a Mr Terrific villain. Maybe he'll crossover to Flash for that episode?

And in the opposite direction, showrunners Bryan Fuller and Michael Green announced their departure from American Gods. Rumor has it it's due to budget issues, as they want as much money as Game of Thrones and Starz is like "Way too much!" I happen to think it deserves the money, but I happen to also think Thrones is overrated and like Gods more so it's not like I'm in an objective place on this.

The Hellboy reboot has a release date: January 11, 2019. That's pretty much a dead zone for movies, since no one wants to spend money in January, there are no holidays, and the weather kind of sucks so people tend to stay home more. Masters of the Universe reboot, on the other hand, might have found a screenwriter in the way of David Goyer. Who was responsible for Batman v Superman.

Tonight Agents of SHIELD returns, and I got to say that 17 minute reveal and the last season makes me pretty excited for it's return.

Avengers: Infinity War will be out May 4th (Take that Star Wars), 2018, unless you live in Australia, France, Italy, the Netherlands, New Zealand, or Sweden where it'll be released April 25th. If you live in Brazil, Germany, Greece, Hungary, and Singapore you get it on the 26th. And the 27th if you're in Bulgaria, Japan, Spain, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and Vietnam. That's some epic level of confidence in the affect of word of mouth on domestic numbers.

Trailer for Batman: Ninja. Wataru Takagi is an amazing Joker.

SHIELD: When Heston Meet's Daisy.

Jemma's a concubine of some sort now, and she can only hear the leader.

Also, not only are the kree Blue like smurfs, but they also have only one female. Who is also the Kree version of the Tall Man.

Why didn't the "roaches" show up after we meet the Kree? It sounded like they were still very active in the colony.
