Flash: I question the strategy of sending a super intelligent megalomaniac monkey to a place where he can raise an army. Cisco continues being the highlight for me, in his constant geeking out. This time with Princess Bride.
AoS: I think they're mixing Leviathan in with Hydra, which is a shame because we could sure use groups other than Hydra as villains.
Gotham: Jim Gordon, more powerful than a half dozen red shirts. Five or six people get killed by an assassin, and Jim takes him out basically bare handed. Come on ...

Amell hinted at the possibility of three-way crossovers starting next year with Legends of Tomorrow, which could be neat but also convoluted. And about next year, if anyone was enjoying Bastard Executioner then I've bad news, as the show's creator Kurt Sutter is, as it were, axing it after this one season after putting out a full page ad about it in the Hollywood Reporter. As he put it "The audience has spoken, and unfortunately the word is, ‘meh." He went on to say in an interview that "It’s fantastic to get a good review [or] an award, but at the end of the day the only thing that matters, really, is numbers. I’m not the guy sitting in my ivory tower spitting sh't out and not caring if anyone is watching. … I don’t want to write something that nobody’s f'king watching."

Yeah. That bugged the heck out of me. Way over contrived. First, the stupidity of moving from a location where you're in an enclosed space, with only two avenues of approach (and they honestly could probably have narrowed that down), with someone who's just declared he's going to come and get you, so you can just wait and make him have to open himself up to get to you, to walking out onto a street with tons of cover and hiding spots all around you, in the dark, with said assassin who could be lurking anywhere and just *blam* kill you. Nope. It magically works because instead of the assassin just shooting Gordon in the head, he decides to whack him with a chain instead? And doesn't seem to do much more than **** Gordon off in the process? Um... Why is this guy a still alive assassin, much less some sort of super assassin guy? I get that they were playing Eduardo off as somewhat insane, but he'd have to be at least somewhat competent, right?

The rest of the episode was good though, especially the bits with Riddler and Penguin.

They've been the only real highlights of the series, and a bit of totally not Joker guys seriously Jerome.

Arrow: So Diggle forgives the guy who kidnaps his wife as part of his plan to take out a bad guy, but completely dismisses the possibility that his own brother may not be responsible for his actions? And not so much dismisses the possibility, but doesn't even care? What a cnut.

Melissa Benoist's husband, who was also in Glee, Adam Foster will have a recurring role in Supergirl, as "a handsome stranger from Cat Grant's past." Because there aren't enough love interests for Kara to begin with. Joe Quesada, enemy of all fans of Spider-Man, announces that Iron Fist for Netflix is still being worked on and not being turned into a movie in favor of a Punisher show.

Watching Jessica Jones. Kilgrave is ... sheesh. Watching Dr Who reruns is never going to be the same.
Melissa Rosenberg to Variety wrote:
We might be able to do a second season of 'Jessica Jones' before 'The Defenders,' I think they are working that out now. It might not be possible from a logistical standpoint, so we don't know just yet. And of course they haven't given us a second season, though I am ready to dive in if they do. Throughout the first season, as we were breaking the story, so many ideas were coming up. For season two, the idea was to leave a lot of storytelling doors open and to have avenues to pursue for many years after this season. We leave this season not necessarily on a cliffhanger, but there is a big change in Jessica’s circumstances.
David Tennant about Kilgrave to Vanity Fair wrote:
I think there's something rather chilling about him. He's not particularly interested in world domination, or accruing vast amounts of wealth, or destroying the Fantastic Four, or whatever it might be. He's just out to get what he can and he has this extraordinary ability which means that he has a certain indestructibility, really.

At first he comes off as all bad, and he pretty much is, but you can at least understand some of the reasons why he might be. He's more interesting than just a mustache-twirling villain... I think there are -- how do you call it --clutches of contradictions in Kilgrave’s character.

There's an acceptance that we are in the same world as the Avengers and Spider-Man, but you can't quite imagine it happening. Having said that, I'd be very happy to be in an 'Avengers' movie. Any of them.
Yes please.

Extended trailer for the Flash / Arrow crossover event week after next, which ultimately leads into Legends of Tomorrow. Slight spoilers about Hawkpeople origins.

CW ordered six more episodes for this season of iZombie, so there's that. Also, Fox has removed Fantastic Four 2 from their release schedule. And for the next Netflix show Luke Cage, Sonia Braga is joining the cast as Soledad Temple, Rosario Dawson's Claire Temple character's mother. Claire, as in the nurse from Daredevil and Jessica Jones. And finally, Chris Hemsworth says he wants the next Thor movie, Ragnarok, to have more humor in it like Guardians of the Galaxy. Because with a sub-name like Ragnarok, you know the laughs are there. I guess he understands the direction of his movies aren't working for the series. But hey, any excuse for more Loki shenanigans I'm all for.

CW's Official Description for Legends of Tomorrow wrote:
On Thursday January 21, The CW kicks off a new night of action and adventure with the highly-anticipated series premiere of DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW (8:00-9:00pm ET/PT)followed by the return of the critically-acclaimed post-apocalyptic drama THE 100 (9:00-10:00pm ET/PT). In DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW, when heroes alone are not enough… the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat — one in which not only the planet is at stake, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known?

DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW stars Victor Garber (“The Flash,” “Alias”), Brandon Routh (“Arrow,” “Superman Returns”), Arthur Darvill (“Doctor Who”), Caity Lotz (“Arrow”), Ciara Renee (“Pippin”), and Franz Drameh (“Edge of Tomorrow”), with Dominic Purcell (“The Flash,” “Prison Break”) and Wentworth Miller (“The Flash,” “Prison Break”). Based on the characters from DC Comics, DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW is from Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television, with executive producers Greg Berlanti (“Arrow,” “The Flash,” “Supergirl”), Marc Guggenheim (“Arrow,” “Eli Stone,” “Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters”), Andrew Kreisberg (“Arrow,” “The Flash,” “Eli Stone,” “Warehouse 13”), Phil Klemmer (“The Tomorrow People,” “Chuck”), Chris Fedak (“Forever,” “Chuck”), and Sarah Schechter (“Arrow,” “The Flash”).

There's a new clickbait rumor for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 which states that Peter's father will be revealed to be Captain Mar-Vell, the Kree Warrior that eventually origin stories Carol Danvers. That would link the Guardians to the overall MCU and introduce Carol's story, or at least put it into play. Now, I have my doubts since in the first movie it is revealed that Quill's father is a long gone ancient race, and the Kree clearly aren't since they've shown up in Agents of SHIELD. All we really know for certain is Gunn said it wouldn't follow comic canon, which ruled out J-Son of Spartax.
James Gunn, about rumor wrote:

Teen Titans Go had a 2 part special today where the guys (and gals) went through some things and ended up taking on the roles of some Justice League members. Including Beast Boy as Martian Manhunter, Robin as Batman, Cyborg as Green Lanter, Raven as Wonder Woman, and Starfire as Flash. They had to rescue the actual members from Darkseid.

Edit:
Oh, and the best part. Weird Al Yankovic voiced Darkseid.

Kind of disappointed that ******* Executioner is getting canned. Aside from a few to many scenes of Lady Love and Wilkin being boring in some random room, the show was pretty good. I think the name of the show may have turned off a lot of people, so it didn't really find an audience.

Anyway, Civil War trailer looks awesome. I was a bit surprised they didn't hold out another couple weeks and premier with the new Star Wars movie.

Seriously, "Bast ard" is on that stupid list? How the hell am I supposed to refer to someone born out of wedlock now?

CBS has ordered an additional seven episodes for Supergirl, bringing the first season up to twenty episodes.

Uncle Jack from Breaking Bad, Michael Bowen, cast as a character that will be certain to rustle many a canon junky's jimmy, Batman's defacto criminal character Matches Malone who is currently being considered Bruce's parents killer. Chances are pretty high they'll pull another Jerome and leave it hanging. They also got Lori Petty, who "has information about Bruce's parents' death." Lori is best known to me as Tank Girl and Livewire's voice in the 90s Superman cartoon. Her and Arleen Sorkin, man. Smiley: inlove Also in the market to rustle jimmies, George Lucas claims that Greedo shot first, proving that while he may have directed, he certainly didn't watch the originals. Let's not forget that Mr Lucas also believes Jar Jar Binks was a good character.

Patton Oswalt, best known as a Life Model Decoy of Doctor Octopus, joins the MST3k reboot as Felicia Day's henchman, which admittedly if anyone was going to replace TV's Frank I'd go with him.

Gotham: They teased Fries at the end. Bruce saves the pretty girl in the end by faking he fell for it in front of her uncle. Overall, kind of a "meh" season finale. But it did wrap up everything that was happening this season. Another glimpse of the facility they brought the Fire-gal into. This time with humans in test tubes. And the name Professor Strange. Genetic experimentation incoming.

RED FLAG! RED FLAG!

Skepticism doesn't really work all that well in these shows. It's hard to watch someone finding immortality impossible when they're standing next to Barry Allen. There's the issue of sodium chlorate is used to bleach pulp to make paper white and also a really strong plant killer. I feel that should have maybe been brought up. At least it'd give Jay's objection a little more weight. As it stands, he just sounded kind of whiny. I mean, sure they can just SUPER SCIENCE the toxicity and organ and renal failure out, but still. Completely contrived way to test the serum, too. Opens the door to new speedsters with the Velocity 6 serum though, so that could be good. But overall, back to my main point: Worst group of people to keep a secret.

I just want to go on record and say what an amazing shot that was at the begin of Agents of SHIELD, Ward. A throat shot from that distance? Impressive. Fitz and Simmons being the series token hostages is starting to wear thin. Coulson diving head first into a portal only to knock himself out was a brilliant tactical decision.

So apparently one of the extras that comes with the Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 2 Box Set is the Sokovia Accords document, which will ultimately get Steve and Tony to duke it out against one another. Just one page, and it looks like a really basic contract.
Sokovia Accords wrote:
In accordance with the document at hand, I hereby certify that the below mentioned participants, peoples, and individuals, shall no longer operate freely or unregulated, but instead operate under the rules, ordinances and governances of the aforementioned United Nations panel, acting only when and if the panel deems it appropriate and/or necessary.
And below are the names of the current Avengers roster. Clint, Wanda, James, Steve, Natasha, Tony, Sam, and Vision.

The National Board of Reviews named Mad Max: Fury Road as the best movie of 2015. Didn't see it.

Galavant returns in January. The first season was fun, but kind of a let down and hopefully they learned their lesson. One of which is to better utilize Weird Al. In fact, let's just go ahead and say Weird Al should cameo on every show from now on. And Bruce Campbell. There, I just made TV better. Also in January Agent Carter's second season is delayed from January 5 to 19 because Obama hates white women from the 1940s.

Speaking of Bruce Campbell, he leaked the "Ash vs The Walking Dead" script on Twitter. Intense read, I'd watch it.

In mostly not comic news, Samurai Jack to return for another season sometime next year. Maybe we'll get an ending this time around.

Maybe once it's free. Not really my wheelhouse.

Legends of Tomorrow introductory crossover conclusion proves that no matter how powerful you are, even if you have an omnidirectional energy force field, a pigeon flying at your face will always freak you out. Also no one thought to sweep up Savage afterwards? Oh well, next week's midseason finale of Flash to have Mark Hamill, making it the best midseason finale of the year by default. Also apparently Wally West.

Batman v Superman trailer in high definition. Apparently the idea of keeping some of the plot secret was thrown out the window. I guess the only secret left is whether Gal Gadot took any acting lessons or not, which I guess is why she's not really featured in any of the trailers so far.

Stephany Folsom hired to work on the next Thor script, originally penned by Christopher Yost and Craig Kyle. I hope it has nothing to do with Hemsworth wanting the movie to have a, and I quote, "Butch and Sundance vibe." As it stands, her IMDB page is pretty empty.

According to an article in Entertainment Weekly, who also drew the ire of a certain demographic for their new Captain America: Civil War cover featuring Black Panther, T'challa will be a key figure in the battle between the two head Avengers, which I'm assuming is going to be Spider-Man's role from the comics.
Chadwick Boseman wrote:
There definitely is a sort of tradition that he’s torn between, in terms of how things were done in the past and how things need to happen now in this new world. I think there’s perhaps a bit of a maverick there, and then there’s also a need to live up to traditions and his father’s legacy. And not even his father’s legacy, but the entire nation of Wakanda. I think those are the things you will see.
Kevin Feige wrote:
We kept talking about ‘Somebody like Black Panther …’ After the third or fourth time that came up in a development meeting, someone said, ‘Can’t we just do the Black Panther?’ And we all looked at each other and said, ‘Yeah, I guess we could.' We introduce him here, give him an arc, and make him a full character. We don’t just give him a cameo, to wave. He has his own conflict and his own people that he’s looking out for.
So what's the bet on whether they make Wakanda xenophobic and basically anti-progressive, and if they do how much will the aforementioned certain demographic lose their sht?

You don't want to see a Mad Max movie that was better than Beyond Thunderdome?

Do you not like action and/or post apocalyptic wasteland masterpieces? I **** you not, George Miller somehow, in the current day and ago of big budget CGI ****, made a sequel to his original creation that far surpasses the original(s). Not only that, he did it mostly with practical effects, he did it without treating his audience like they're retarded and need every plot point explained in depth to them, and he built a fully functioning drum wagon with a flame throwing guitarist that does 60mph.

Then Conan borrowed it.

While some say that they think Fury Road's plot is rather simple, I found a certain beauty to it in that it's not overly explained like most things nowadays. The plot doesn't need to be explained with Tina Turner monologues, it's presented in the action presented to the audience and the few words that are spoken move the plot along rather than slow it down. It's essentially one long chase scene, Charlize Theron's Furiosa kicks all of the asses, and it has some of the most striking imagery I've seen in Theaters all year.

Other movies I've seen with the wife in Theaters this year (In IMAX 3D when available, and no I did not pick all of them):

Jurassic World, Avengers 2, Ant Man, The Martian, Crimson Peak, Hunger Games, Pitch Perfect 2, Ex Machina, Ted 2 & Black Mask.

Fury Road was more a more entertaining movie from start to finish than any of them. Only The Martian and Ex Machina were possible better overall movies (but in different ways) and I am still a massive Marvel fanboy. I was disappointed with AoU in my initial viewing (but liked it more the second time around) and while I liked Ant Man, when he went Micro and couldn't help but wonder what the Edger Wright version would have brought us...

You can watch it in HD right now if you wanted to for $5 on Amazon, or for free if you have the google.

And I know you have the google.

From what everyone says I'm sure it's an enjoyable movie, but post-apocalyptic dieselpunk just doesn't do anything to me.

Italia Ricci is brought in as Silver Banshee for Supergirl. In another Black Panther director rumor, Creed's Ryan Coogler may be in negotiations for the spot.

Now that Disney owns the Star Wars franchise, they're phasing out the slave costume from their merchandising. Carrie Fisher is such a beautiful person, giving the greatest comment about it one could come up with.
Carrie Fisher, Wall Street Journal wrote:
I think that’s stupid. The father who flipped out about it, ‘What am I going to tell my kid about why she’s in that outfit?’ Tell them that a giant slug captured me and forced me to wear that stupid outfit, and then I killed him because I didn’t like it. And then I took it off. Backstage.

Michael Wilkinson, during Brazil's CCXP 2015 wrote:
It (Batman during the unmasking scene) is a different look. (Director) Zack (Snyder) had a great idea of this sort of nightmare-ish vision, almost a vision of the future, a post-apocalyptic vision. It's like a dream that Ben (Affleck) has, so we wanted to, it has almost a 'Mad Max' quality to it where it's like the end of the world, trying to survive and then of course Superman and his minions come, so it's sort of a way of representing the amazing amounts of, the sort of obsessive quality that Bruce Wayne has about the threat of Superman. In this film, Superman, of course he's normally seen as a figure of hope, a positive thing, but in this film, his motivations, the consequences of his actions are really being questioned by the world. Is he a savior? Or is he a dangerous alien with unknown intentions? And this becomes an obsession for Bruce Wayne. And he really wants to sort it out. So, it's manifested in this sort of incredible dream that Zack decided to create.

[...]

Well, I'm not really at the liberty to talk about the Flash right now, but it's something that you'll be seeing in the future in our films. You do get a glimpse of him, of course, in 'Batman v Superman.' But I'm really looking forward to taking the amazing, iconic costume for the Flash and interpreting it in a fresh way where Ezra Miller is playing the Flash. He's an extraordinary performer, he has a sort of interesting sense of humor and the youth that will be great for Barry Allen and I think he's going to make a great Flash.
So a "it was all a dream" scene and yet another cameo.

Also at the CCXP, Wilkinson explained that director Zack Snyder wanted to incorporate a quote from influential writer and mythologist Joseph Campbell into the look. The quote Snyder chose was, "Where we had thought to stand alone, we will be with all the world."
Michael Wilkinson wrote:
"We decided to translate that into Kryptonian and we decided to put that on the 'S' on his chest, through his cuffs, his belt, through his bicep, just to give a little extra something for the fan with very sharp vision to appreciate," said Wilkinson. He added, "With the Superman costume we have a new material. The suit is a little bit more shear so you really get the sense of this metal undercut coming through the blue oversuit... Every time you do a character you get the opportunity to make them even more compelling and exciting
Peyton Reed about Ant-Man & Wasp sequel wrote:
[T]here's a lot of rich stuff. Not only with the different sort of super heroic identities that he had in the comics, but just his psychology. I mean, we do set up in the movie that when Scott says to him, 'Why don't you just put on the suit?' He's like, 'I can't. I did it for a long time, and it took a toll on me.' It's like, 'Well, what does that mean, exactly?' I think there are a lot of things that we're going to explore in the next one that will explain a lot of that stuff.
When asked about Giant-Man and Goliath appearances, Reed said something along the lines of "it's such a crucial part of his character in the comics, I think to ignore that would be crazy." So ... maybe some size changing in both directions next movie. Neat.

Asked by Super Interessante if any characters from Marvel's TV shows, Jessica Jones was specifically named, would be seen battling Thanos in the upcoming 2-film Avengers: Infinity War storyline, Anthony Russo answered
Russo, to Super Interessante wrote:
It's complicated. When we start to serialize the telling of stories it's difficult. You have to have a lot of control and focus on the course of history. The films are controlled by a group led by Kevin Feige, so they function as a unit.

Other products, even if they are from Marvel, are controlled by others. Then there is the possibility of a crossover, but it's more complicated. It is a smaller scale version of the problem that exists when remembering that Fox holds the rights to some of Marvel's most popular characters, as does Sony and others. As storytellers, we only have control over what happens in Marvel movies, but everything is possible, Spider-Man (whose rights were held by Sony) became possible!
As far as I'm concerned, all they'd have to really do is cameo while fighting grunts and protecting civilians. Speaking of Spider-Man, when asked about what costume would be used in Civil War, Russo said:
Russo-Man, Russo-Man, does whatever a Russo Can wrote:
The film will show a mix of what everyone is waiting and a little twist. So yeah, that's what I can tell.
Red and blue, or red and gold? Blue and gold?
More Russo about Spider-Man wrote:
From the second we had the idea to do the story of 'Civil War,' Spider-Man was a part of the story. It was a very complicated business arrangement for Marvel Studios to be able to use Spider-Man from Sony. So, we were always told by Marvel, 'Don't count on it, you may not get to use Spider-Man, so you better have a plan B.' And we were like, 'Okay, we get it, we have a plan B if don't get Spider-Man; we'll figure the movie out.' But the truth is, we never had a plan B. We only have envisioned the movie with Spider-Man. He was always a part of the story. It was very important to us to reintroduce the character.
In more Captain America: Civil War news, around the same timeframe Marvel is releasing a Civil War II comic event ... because the first comic event was so great that it just SCREAMS for a sequel. Written by Bendis with David Marquez as the artist.

First off, good job on Supergirl with that reveal. Well hidden and a total wtf moment. Also well placed on a night without having to compete with Gotham, so an overall win for the show. I'm still not a particular fan of the show, but credit where it's due. It still can't compare to Hamill tonight as Trickster.

Couple of featurettes for Captain America: Civil War and Doctor Strange.

In other news, apparently a fan bit Norman Reedus at a Jersey convention. She took a nibble off his chest, didn't break skin, and was banned from all future conventions that might include Daryl, but he isn't pressing charges. No word on whether he's taken to noshing on brains yet.

Huh. I thought it was pretty blatantly foreshadowed (assuming you're talking about the martian guy). Several scenes of him with red glowing eyes in previous episodes, and maybe my own lack of knowledge of Superman supporting characters other than the martian guy who might have red glowing eyes made it the first thing I thought of.

So, (SHIELD) Hydra "Dark One" is actually just a Desert Muck Leech. A nice little twist. I mean, you knew something was up with Simmons' boy toy, but didn't really expect him to be the monster. But I did expect it to infect Ward and him to come back to Earth as the Dark One. I just didn't expect them to reveal it so soon.

Sucks that we have to wait til March to continue. I don't think Agent Carter is going to be a good consolation gift. I'm sure I'll watch it, probably like it. But not as much as I'd want to see this continue.

Flash:
I thought it was kind of a dull episode. A few good lines here and there, and Hamil's character. I guess I don't know enough about the source material to be all that interested in what Wally West will bring to the table. I read he was another Flash in the comics, but beyond that, not sure. Wells 2.0 is working with bad guy. Barry's girlfriend is not very bright.

The only real clues were that he was strong and had glowy red eyes, though okay I'll admit that I treat it more as a DVR show so some of the time my attention is diverted from watching it as closely as I do other shows. I don't think I missed other significant clues, but maybe I did. But just off the top of my head, those two clues also describe Lobo. The whole "last of his race" part also hits Lobo, but that only came up the last second. I mean, yeah the being an alien thing was a no brainer, but it being Jon wasn't obvious to me.

So Mark Hamill. I think he makes a much better villain than hero. I'm a Star Wars fan in passing only, but if it turns out Luke goes Dark Side I'd be all over that in a heartbeat. Also amusing Speedforce Hax with the flying. Someone who can vibrate his atoms to pass through solid objects being amazed someone else can fly not so amusing. On the SHIELD side, nice to see the Secret Warriors in action. Show is still suffering from using most of it's budget on location shots instead of special effects. Lash killing off panel and MockingBobbi kicking butt off screen just isn't impressive in the least. Damn Coulson, that's just harsh. Of course, it's not like there's an alien god who takes over dead bodies who needs a new host just thirty feet away. That probably totally won't play into future episodes.

I usually write these out in notepad as I'm watching and that was so obvious and my reaction was exactly the same at the end. Leaving off on Wells-2 collaborating with Zoom is a decent way to end on a cliff hanger. It wasn't a great cliff hanger, sure. Not SHIELD, should have just left Ward's dead body there and reveal it at a later date.

Tom Holland, future scapegoat for Spider-Man, says he'll be stealing from Maguire and Garfield for his take of the character. Hopefully it'll be Maguire's Parker and Garfield's Spider-Man and not the other way around.

Honestly not that familiar with Lobo, other than he always struck me as DCs answer to Wolverine. Wasn't sure he intersected much with Superman though, while the martian guy did. Plus he was a semi-regular character in the last couple seasons of Smallville (and was introduced almost entirely as "mysterious shadowy figure with glowing red eyes"), which would make him a more likely candidate for TV viewers to recognize and accept into a Superman related title. Like I said, I suspect my own lack of deep knowledge of DC characters maybe made it more apparent to me than it would be to others.

Two things:

It's an admitted nitpick, but it annoys me when they ignore basic physics involving something like a bionic hand. Um... He can't magically press down any harder than he could with a regular hand. I mean, his hand can take more force and thus withstand his weight better, but he can't actually push down any harder than the mass of his body can apply. It's not even like he's got a bionic elbow or anything. Just a hand from mid forearm down. I can only assume they didn't want to show him choking or just hitting him to death, but still.

Also, to be fair to Coulson, he didn't actually know anything at all about an alien god/whatever who can take over dead bodies. He was too busy fighting Ward to have been more than vaguely aware that another fight was going on (could presumably hear the shots). He certainly could not have recognized Will from his vantage, much less speculated that he was dead and animated by some mystical entity. He probably just assumed Fitz was fighting the last of Ward's men.

Oh, and I guess this makes three, but I somewhat agree on the spoiler about Ward. On the other hand, it sets up anticipation for the next stage of troubles rather than leaving audiences wondering "what's next?". I'd assume it's the same kind of budget thing going on. Showing Ward getting picked up after the fight is cheap and easy to film and flows directly from the existing action scenes. If they showed it in March, they'd have to add in some kid of flashback scene showing Ward escaping in order to tie the scenes together, which costs $$. But yeah, I do agree that from a storytelling point of view, it would have been awesome to let everyone assume he's dead and gone, move on to other Hydra stuff in the second half of the season (perhaps with some mystery about how/why they're doing the things they're doing), and then have him pop up at/near the end of the season as a grand reveal about how Hydra got their powerful monster/god after all and it's been the secret power behind everything, oh, and btw, it's Ward too!

Yeah. Now that would have been awesome.

Arrow:

Yes, they left it ambiguous and then a clip of a hospital and then a grave which almost always translates to "she's okay." Don't ruin this for me. Also am I horrible for finding it absolutely hilarious how they focused on how Felicity was Jewish and then they put her in a gas chamber? I was in tears I was laughing so hard.

I've grown to like this Damien Darhk character.

I could live without the flashbacks though. I wish they'd just forget about this island already.
