Korra Book 3 Rumor-SpoilersFollow

#52 Oct 01 2014 at 3:58 PM Rating: Good
I've not seen book 3, as I don't watch it on TV..
But book 4 is not going to be on TV? That can not be good for the series.

Also kind of nice to see the Book 3 will be in Stores soon, rather then a year from now (Dec 2, I guess I could wait that long).

Book 3 only aired the first handful of episodes on TV, after that they went to digital only.

Just recently they did start airing Book 3 on the Nicktoons channel. But that was well after the season finale. I'd imagine that Book 4 will air on the Nicktoons channel as well after the season is over.

I see. Seems weird to not air them on the TV channel :3

They had a Friday evening timeslot. They eventually realized 90% of their audience was just watching online anyway, so they made the smart move. I watched them all on nick.com after they started doing it, and have almost no complaints. So I wouldn't be worried.

It worked well. No lag, no commercials (or, my adblocking addon blocked it... maybe?) I was able to watch them after getting out of work no wait.

Yea, there are typically commercials but adblock blocks them. However, adblock also interferes with trying to skip in the video (i.e. select a specific point in the video), which is mildly annoying.

Yea. The downside to adblock sometimes.

And if it is working out, then cool. I only watch a handful of shows on TV anymore anyways, usually wait til the next day or weekend to watch them online.

I literally haven't watched any Korra since book 1, so I've been rewatching ATLA to lead up to that.

And I'm on the last episode. And I forgot how amazing these battle scenes were.

I'm pretty much willing to call this the greatest animated action scene I've ever seen. The battle with Sozin, the last Agni Kai, taking down the airships, and reclaiming Ba Sing Se?

The last agni kai, in particularly, might be the single most beautiful combat animation I've seen.

I liked the premiere. New evil has emerged and it's the earth bender gal from the finale.

Not sure what Korra's plans are. That part doesn't make sense yet.

Looks like book 3 and book 4 aren't really separate books like the previous two were. These two are more closely related like the first three Aang books.

I like short hair Korra and Kuvira is my current favorite character already. Earthbending is best bending.

It's not easy being the Earth Nation's Prince's bodyguard. I wonder if Wu ate any Bosco ...

Got around to watching the newer episode. Pretty meh, but one redeeming scene. I hope we get back to the Kuvira storyline soon. Psykorra is only good in small doses.

Good to see Toph didn't let a small thing like aging change her.

I loved the part where she uses her age to further mock Korra.

That was awesome.

Yo, 100% grats to her. That's AWESOME.

I really hope a few people are with her dressed up as rocks, so she can bend them at people.

Also, nick.com has the worst video player I've ever used in my life. It took me like 40 minutes to watch the episode - it kept skipping ahead, and then wouldn't let me go back.

I'm happy Bolin is, y'know, not a joiner. I was bummed we didn't get to see Korra **** **** up - I really wanted it.

The mecha fight scene was awesome, and I loved getting more lavabending, but it wasn't the conflict I wanted.

Also, calling it right now - if they have a next series, it'll be revolving around the genocide of spirits in the name of development.

The eyes are creepy live, but other than that she's spot on.

I hate that they're making Kuvira a mustache twirling super villain. I liked it when she was ambiguously a bad guy. Like she's strong arming the separate areas, yes, but she's doing it for the good of the whole Earth Nation. Her methods are questionable, but the results are positive, yannow? No, now she's just a boring dictator, torturing and abusing her people and solidifying her own power. They could have just left it so the audience had to question whether taking her out would be good or bad. **** this penny ante dumbed down crap. I have the SAME DAMN PROBLEM with how Civil War ended up.

Was it at the point where Kuvira and Korra start talking, because that's about where I had to reboot Firefox. Usually starts about halfway between the first and second "station breaks" for me.

I still think they're going that route, actually. There's an absolute mandate for Order, but Kuvira is going to make the truthful argument that things are better for those towns (as long as you don't count "liberty" in the equation).

I think Kuvira will seize Zaofu and use its resources to further establish infrastructure, and Korra and the gang are going to have to seriously debate whether or not the collateral damage to the Earth Kingdoms for the sake of their freedom is better or worse than letting Kuvira continue on.

We all know they're going to choose to stop Kuvira, but she IS going to be a villain where the question is whether or not freedom is better than protection.

As Toph put it, all of Korra's enemies haven't had bad ideals, they've had ideals they took to extremes that made them bad. Kuvira unifying the kingdom won't be bad, but her methods are going to be too extreme.

As for nick.com, for me it was Korra talking to Su, and it skipped to that scene with her talking with Kuvira. I really love it spoiling itself.

I have use ad blocking addons, so I don't get these breaks, and the show plays pretty fluidly for me, no skips forward or back.

I'll just pirate it from now on. I like to support the main site, when they make it available, but I'm not going to bother if it's painful to use.

If you want to help their numbers, put it on w/o adblock and mute the sound from the tab, and watch it in another with a better source.

A decent amount of stuff happened for an episode where it felt like nothing happened.

It occurs to me that I only have the vaguest notion of when the episode is actually released. I could have saved myself some time today. Oh well.

Come on, Varrick and Kuvira were both awesome this episode. She pretty much dominated Korra the entire fight, and was smiling the whole time. She's my favorite character, even though she's basically Snidley Whiplash. All hail Milo, the great artist.
