So, something similar happens in the comics. While I know I shouldn't have been surprised, I totally was. I think the Talking Dead was WAY more somber tonight than even than after the Herschel dieing episode.
****.

Just watched it. The first half I wasn't too thrilled about it. It did not bore me or strike me as bad. It just reminded me a bit about the slower episodes of season 2. But then...
No one's allowed to be happy TWD. If they just happen to be, something terrible will happen to them.
The circle of strife?

I didn't expect this week's episode to be better than last week's and it wasn't. Almost fell asleep. I kind of wonder if they're going to skip Jesus all together at this point. One episode left of the season.
Negan gonna show up is my bet.

I'm thinking Terminus is full of cannibals. I also think the season finale is going to be brutal, since this was a "happy" episode.

So ... cannibals. Kind of a weak season ender. Nothing really unpredictable, and not much of a cliff hanger either. Watching Rick lose his **** was probably the high point of the episode.

It feels like this should have been the 2nd to last episode of the season, but other than that I liked this episode. Rick basically becomes a zombie in order to save his son, gets the band together, & is now ready to take down terminus.

Yes, felt more like a build-up episode than a finale.
Overall the season was pretty good. It had many highpoints and apart from a bit much Govenor prior to the midseason finale I can't remember any particular weak episodes.
So I just read the comics and re-watched the first few episodes... and something occurred to me.
None of this is actually happening. Rick is still in his coma laying in bed at the hospital. The last episode he will wake up and Shane, Lorie and everyone will be alive. The screen will go back to being black and white and Dorothy will excitedly tell everyone about how they were all there in the wonderful land of Oz and the whole thing will be forgotten about the next day save for those few precious remnants of memory that will haunt Rick's dreams for the rest of his life.

Um...no. Especially since they're working on a 2nd spin-off show of TWD that won't use characters from the comics at all.

I don't know, it'd be a pretty good way to end the TV series if anything.
As far as the books, they lost steam about two arcs ago and I find myself continue reading it simply because I used to read them. The whole Negan thing was basically a rehash of the whole Governor thing, except Negan felt much less menacing. Which wouldn't be so bad but it was like they were trying to make him detestable, but it just didn't work.

I'm only buying the trades now, so I'm not done with All Out War yet.
But Nagen's first appearance was pretty bad ***, as was the line he says to Rick after his first visit to Rick Town.
And I'm pissed about the Tiger.
