Green Lantern is coming out of the closet, apparently.

Probably old news, but I just read about it. Almost choked on an imaginary bagel. Not that there's anything wrong with being gay, mind you, but why Green Lantern? Of all the superheroes out there with questionable (as in: unknown or possibly homosexual -- Christ, it's hard being politically correct) sexual orientations, they went with that guy?

They said they chose to make Alan Scott gay because the reboot forced them to eliminate his openly gay son from the cast.

In any case, it's an Alternate Universe scenario. So Alan Scott is only gay in that one. The original Scott is still a womanizing *******.

Isn't her weakness being tied up (read Bondage) by a man? If they made her a lesbian then the writers would have to get off their lazy asses and make a new weakness for her.
