Kind of sad, but knew the show was on its last leg.

Probably a season too long. So far this season has felt very contrived. The only real bright spot has been the addition of Odette Anabel.

Ya, I think the TV Guide had something along these lines back before the new season started.

Really, it's dragged on a lot longer than it should (story-wise). The last couple seasons have been kind of meh. And I guess there is only so many times a person and vomit or **** blood before it gets old.

That, and House somehow keeps being able to practice, which just doesn't make sense especially after the last few seasons.

I think now the big question is how will they wrap it up in a way to appease the fans. I personally don't feel that like something happening to change his character completely would work (so like a reformation thing wouldn't cut it), and while I feel that they could go with a "life goes on" situation like what they did with, say, ER, at the same time I don't really feel that gives closure.

Truth be told, I think some way of killing him off might be the best way to do it, since that's the only way I could see the show ending and it fit what's been happening with his character.

I've always loved the show but I'm glad this is the last season. They've done everything, they've diagnosed everything, it's time to move on.

Unfortunately the show was entirely formulaic, and you can only do that for so long. Did throw a few things in for variety, but overall it was just the same thing over and over again. I really enjoyed the episode he was shot, and I'll say season 4 with the reality show-esque theme was my favorite. I also enjoy episodes like last Monday's, where the main story is being told by someone so it keeps changing around. I'll hate seeing it go, but better to go out on top than to slowly sink into a perverse joke.

I'm looking at you, Simpsons.

I like this new season more than the previous one to be honest. It's going to be hard to imagine an ending other than House dying to be honest.

Wilson dying!

Edit:
Yes, rather than creating a new thread I just searched for the old one.

I didn't see it coming, which for a show going on this long was a pleasant surprise. I really want to see next week's episode now.

I haven't watched since, like, season five. But you better be f***ing kidding me. That's unacceptable--Wilson makes the world go round.

House is my favorite TV show of all time. I really think the final episode of season 7 would have been the perfect way to end the series, but the fans (myself included) were dying to know what the fallout from House T-boning Cuddy's house would be. It's too bad they couldn't get Lisa Edlestein back for this season.

I could totally see them wrapping this up with the whole "it was all a dream" wrap-up (with House dying) and go back to when House got shot in season 3 or 4. We totally wouldn't see it coming either since the episode after he got shot was a "it was all a dream" episode.

This week's episode ended with Wilson telling House he had Cancer. (I forget what type, or how far along, but even if I knew what type they said I probably wouldn't know anything about it). Preview of next week's episode had Wilson wanting to be treated with some super experimental treatment outside the hospital (at House's place, if I remember right) because he didn't want to be like all the patients of his he had seen be whittled away to nothing by treatments as everyone around them felt sorry.

So, ya... if Wilson does kick the bucket, I'm pretty sure House is just going to end up offing himself. Lost Cuddy, Lost Dominika, Lost Wilson... I don't think he's really all that close to Chase, Taub, Crazy-Asian Nerd, or Hot Dark-Haired Girl.

I like Park. The bit at the end of this last episode, where she tells Chase, about his dream, "It could mean the obvious: that you want some of this." And then she farts in the elevator.

Chase is still on the show? Why? Do people like his character?

Honestly, the show first went downhill when the original team disbanded. It never really got it back for me, because the new cast just wasn't interesting--it was too forced. It got to the point where I was only watching for House and Wilson, along with some Cuddy/House angst. That's why I stopped.

They need a handsome young man on the team so House can make various sexual jokes about the female members of the team being attracted to him and vice versa. I'm pretty sure every episode this season has had House say something sexual about Chase and Odette Annable's character.

Last I heard she killed her brother and asked House if he would do the same if her Huntington's got bad enough. House agreed.

I expect it to go down as follows. Wilson dies. Thirteen gets sick enough that House ends up fulfilling the promise he made to her and kills her. House gets drunk and goes to Cuddy for support. Cuddy calls the cops, who detain House overnight. House gets drunk again, burns down the hospital with him inside and while the place is burning around him he overdoses on Vicodin. Final episode is a closer one which explains what each of the important cast members are doing X months in the future.

Smiley: dubious

Anyway, I thought it was official that Cuddy won't be coming back, even for the finale.
