This book is being talked up big. I think the movie is already in the works. Some have even suggested it could be the next 'Harry Potter' in terms of popularity.

It's still full price anywhere you look. So, I've not bought it. I'll have to make a point of getting to the library for a look (my library has very limited hours).

Anyone read it?

Well, I've never heard of this, but I got my weekly Barnes and Noble email today and it (quite coincidentally) had a coupon for this very book in it (30% off!). If you want to get it from them, you can print off an in-store coupon here (hopefully that works), or use the coupon code N7V4E3P if you want to order it online. Their description sounded pretty intriguing, and I'd love to give this book a try at some point, but I'm too backlogged on my reading as it is, so this will have to wait a year or so probably.

Hmm. I wonder if Costco has a copy.

The audio book is read by Jim Dale, and that is enough for me to give it a shot.

It does't seem you can use the B&N coupon for a Nookbook. Smiley: glare

I'm about half way through it with the audio version (around 13 hours). So far it has been good and unique. I'll give more info when it is over.

So I liked it. Not sure how it is being compared to HP series. This is a 1 book, HP is 7. This does have magic, but no how HP went about it.

The Night Circus is basically a lover story and the people effected. As it progresses you learn it will end bad for the lovers (the magicians) via a "game" they were made to "play", but . . . they find a loop hole at the end.

When I can get the e-book for under ten bucks, or find it at the library I'll read it.

I was kind of pissed. At the same time B&N had the coupon deal going for 30% off, Amazon also had the paper book on sale. So, the newly released hard cover you could get for < $10.00, while the electronic versions were still going for $14.00.

Thanks for the update.
