No thread on it yet, and it comes out Friday. So let me begin.
Much like every other comic book converted to movie, I'm sure I'll enjoy it. Very few I didn't (X-Men 3 and Spider-Man 3 being the only ones I can immediately recall) enjoy. The added benefit for me, however, is that I only know the scarce basics about it, so I won't have my usual nerdrage for recognizing canon inconsistencies. I know Hal Jordan is supposed to be Big League, which translates to over-the-top action movie and his power set translates to awesome and expensive Special Effects.
I'm not entirely sure how I feel about Ryan Reynolds as a big time actor. Not that he's a bad actor, just I can't really remember any range of roles he's had. Not that Hal Jordan is a stretch for the type of roles Ryan gets, and (if IMDB is to be believed) neither is Deadpool, and he does do that type of character justice.
I just hope it gets more the Batman treatment than the Superman treatment. As far as DC movies are concerned, they seem to like putting all their effort and make superior movies for Batman and Superman, who you'd think was their flagship character, gets kind of crapped on.
Doing a smidge of research, I hope the sequel has Dkrtzy.
