Anyone else see these anime shows yet? I thought these two were the best (besides the necromancer, zombie, magical girl, and vampire ninja show), but I could be the only one.

Fractale seems like a Studio Ghibli movie... in TV show format. The style, the humor, the plot, everything about this show reminds me of Castle in the Sky.

Level E is a comedy about an alien that crash lands on Earth and causes trouble for everyone he meets.

as far as other shows...

Mitsudomoe [Season 2] - first season was good and this season hasn't disappointed yet.

Madoka Magica - A new magical girl show, but it seems darker than most in the genre. Not sure if it'll be worth watching, but the music and style at least have me hooked for another episode or two. Music reminds me of Kajiura Yuki.

Dragon Crisis - A boy befriends a young dragon that takes the form of a young girl and fights to protect her. This could be a decent show or turn out really bad.

Gosick - Mystery show about a young girl who is stuck living in a tower-like library. She passes the time by solving mysteries for the police. Nothing spectacular yet, might turn out ok.

Infinite Stratos - Focuses on Ichika who attends an all girl school so that he can learn to pilot a mecha suit. Plot has been done before, reminds me of that recent Demon Lord anime and Samurai Girls from last season (superhuman man, supported by a harem of women).

Rio: Rainbow Gate - The casino dealer Rio aims to be the best "dealer" in the world by challenging other top dealers to casino games. Lots of fan service combined with a boring plot, probably not worth watching.

Beelzebub - An evil high school delinquent is forced to take care of a demon lord baby that can electrocute people. Terrible show, don't watch it.

Forgot:
Yumekui Merry - In this show, besides the real world, there also exists the dream world. The show focuses on two main characters. The male lead has the ability to see what kind dreams a person will experience when they fall asleep. He has also stumbled upon a plan of demons from the dream world to invade the real world. The second character is Merry, she is also from the dream world and is looking for a way to return.

I found this show very exciting and odd, so it's a show I recommend.

I think the only other shows I missed were the ones already mentioned in their own threads.

I might check out Madoka Magica and Dragon Crisis. Also, you meant vampire ninja, not zombie ninja :P.

How did I even miss that? Guess I just can't get over the ridiculousness of that show. Thanks, note taken and fixed.

I'm watching Madoka Magica, Gosick, Mitsudome 2 and Level E.

I know basically what to expect from Mitsudomoe, I'm expecting Madoka to be worth watching, but I'm not sure about the others.

Forgot to mention one and has been added to OP, but I'll repost here. My summary was longer for this one than others because I couldn't come up with a good, short one.

Yumekui Merry - In this show, there exists a dream world along side reality. The show focuses on two main characters- The male lead has the ability to see what kind dreams a person will experience when they fall asleep and has stumbled upon a plan of demons from the dream world to invade the real world. The second character is Merry who is originally from the dream world and is looking for a way to return.

I found this show very exciting and odd, so it's a show I recommend.

EDIT: I can totally, maybe, probably not write better than a 5-year old, but so something had to change.

Haven't seen the anime, but the manga is pretty entertaining. One of those that I read when a new ones comes out.

It could be that the first couple episodes are just a very, very basic introduction and an actually plot will begin to develop soon. So far though, all it has been is watching the baby shock the student 50x each episode (which is funny the first five times, not the next 45...).

Yeah, the baby shocking doesn't happen much out of the first few chapters in the manga. Overall it's your basic "Gotta be the strongest delinquent" story with a fair bit of the supernatural thrown in. There are some genuinely amusing parts though, so I keep reading.

Think that covers most everything.

Nothing really catches my interest this season. I'll be spending my time watching series that have completed from previous seasons. Working on Durarara!! atm, but having some video issues.

I'm watching mitsudomoe, modoka, dragon crisis, gosick, fractale, Hourou Musuko and yumekui this season.

Mitsudomoe - Only seen the first ep so far, which i wasn't too impressed with, but i really liked the first season, and expect the other eps to be good.

Modoka - Seems good so far, we'll see how it goes.

dragon crisis - Very interesting, definitely a good show.

gosick - Probably my favorite this season so far, but of course it's still early, so who knows.

fractale - ehh, it's ok, but can be a bit boring at times.

Hourou - only two eps in. Not sure where it'll end up going. It's interesting, but not terribly entertaining so far.

Yumekui - still have no ******* idea what to think of this.

Good ear, the sound track is indeed composed by Kajiura. I called it after about 4 minutes of the show. Madoka "should" be good if Shaft doesn't drop the ball on it like they have some of their other recent projects.

Gosick seems to have a lot of potential, I hope it doesn't go all Seacats on us.

Other than that I am not super interested in anything other that Mitsudomoe season 2. Some of the shows are vaguely promising but I will wait to pass any judgements on them as of yet.

I agree with all of these. Even Fractale, which I'm expecting to be good, is just like you said: boring at times. The second episode of Mitsudomoe is better than the first as it is pretty much exactly what was in the first season.

AHA! I almost said it was, but couldn't really find anything in my 30 seconds of research (obviously did not try very hard). I find that Yuki Kajiura seems to have the power to turn even a bad show into at least a decent one with just her music, so this is something I'll most likely watch until the end.

Yeah the first episode threw me off. Episode three is online now by the way.

Started watching level E. First ep was kind of bleh. It wasn't really bad, but definitely not that good either. Gonna watch the second ep now, but ijdk if i'll bother watching the rest.

The first three episodes serve as an introduction and more or less set up the plot for the rest of the show. I'm interested in how the show will continue from that point, so I'll probably stick it out a bit longer, but it's moved a lot lower on my list.

Madoka Magica has quickly become my favorite along with Kure wa Zombie. I wasn't quite sure what to expect as I'm not particularly keen on magical girl series, but every aspect of this show fits together perfectly. I'm definitely going to try and find the soundtrack for this show once it's released as I just can't get enough of Yuki Kajiura.

Episode 3 of Fractale took a pretty interesting turn. It will probably be a lot more exciting from here on out.

A friend recommended Infinite Stratos, and I quite like it. Barring some fanservice it's not nearly as bad as some other shows I've seen (although the completely clueless main character slightly bugs me), and it actually seems to have a remotely interesting story. I'd recommend it. I'll probably try the Zombie and Dragon animes this season, too.

Been watching this one too. So far, it's pretty good.

It's no Zombie, but you know, still pretty good.

So, I went on with Infinite Stratos. The story needs to pick up, and fast. It's too much fanservice and it's irritating the heck out of me. Then there's Dragon Crisis, which is just plain awesome. I'm totally digging the overall art style of that show and there's plenty of action. I'd recommend picking this up, more so than Infinite Stratos. It does feel like the planned 12 episodes won't do this series much justice, as apparantly the manga has been running since 2007.
