So I'm rewatching it, and currently wondering where I got the idea that it wasn't that great. Just finished the first season, and I'm just cracking up a lot. I am enjoying the music a lot more this time around too (never been much of a classical fan, only a few). I think it's hilarious, with some serious moments. They last long enough to give a change up and have some character development while still being phased out into lighter moods. Plus Nodame makes the best noises. Maybe getting used to the music and letting me have those deja vu "I know this song from somewhere" moments is why it's better this time.
