So, I recently came into possession of an item entitled "Bubbles: Drawing on Wit". It's a compilation (on newspaper stock) of 43 comic strips. I have the interesting position of voting on them and picking "winners" that will influence my local (and presumably) national papers as to what they may run.

So I provide to you an opportunity to influence my vote by speaking up if you have a preference, assuming your paper runs any of these and you liked them.

I'm aware of very few of these. so your input would be appreciated.

Herewith is a very long list of comics. I was gonna make this an poll, but....hell no. That's, like, work.

Rubes
Animal Crackers
The Brilliant Mind of Edison Lee
Daddy's Home
Rhymes With Orange
Speed Bump
Big Nate
Half Full
Diamond Lil
Intelligent Life
Real Life Adventures
The Middletons
Dog Eat Doug
Lio
One Big Happy
Bottom Liners
Between Friends
Betty
Nest Heads
Curtis
Bliss
Retail
Breaking Cat News
Strange Brew
F Minus
Take It From the Tinkersons
Brewster Rockit
Baldo
Free Range
Arctic Circle
Wallace the Brave
Agnes
Daddy Daze
Off the Mark
Carpe Diem
Scary Gary
Bound & Gagged
Dogs of C-Kennel
9 to 5
Grand Avenue
Over the Hedge
Flo & Friends
The Pajama Diaries

ALSO: Comic strips rule!!!

ALSO: ALSO; What's the limit of options for an poll here, anywayz?

Just a cursory glance the only strips I'm even remotely familiar with is Over the Hedge and Strange Brew. I'd probably vote for Strange Brew; It kind of reminds me of Far Side.

In my closet yesterday I found a book from 1876 called "Christmas Week at Grandmother Cheeryheart's" by Mary Morrison.. author of Everyday Margaret!

Some of the binding is loose and it looks like the binding is from old newspaper... I'm half tempted to take it apart to read the paper...

I kinda like that my the books and magazines that I bought when I was a kid now have the OLD BOOK smell that I remember so well..

In like 89ish I remember buying a MAD magazine from 1955ish... and now the issues I still have that I bought new are older than that was...

my mother threw away STACKS of those things... and my Garbage Pail Kids... >.<

Those are the ones from the list that I'm familiar with. None of them inspire great warmth from me, but none are terrible either. They're all fairly inoffensive page filler. I suppose some people like Lio for stylistic reasons but I never got into it.

I don't think I've seen a Sunday newspaper that'd have the strips in ages.

Ditto, pre-2000 I read the funny pages every day, but then, I dunno, I stopped.
