Odds are someone with an IQ snuck into his office and took his phone. I'm betting part of the cleaning crew.

Trump is going to file a complaint with the Justice Department Inspector General's office regarding Comey leaking his own non-classified memo.
CNN wrote:
The Justice Department, however, has limited jurisdiction over former employees. They can investigate but the remedy in the event of finding wrongdoing would be to make a note in Comey's file should he ever seek to be employed by the DOJ again.

That'll show 'im.

You can't leak unclassified memos. They're ... they're unclassified.

If it's the same pictures I saw then it's too clean to get dirty words stuck in it.

And speaking about crazy assholes with this brilliantly seamless segue, McCain shows just how off his rocker he is by saying Obama is a better leader than 45. You know, after eight years insisting otherwise.

Well, he couldn't tell until now, because obviously nobody could have foreseen what a shit show this presidency would be.

I guess I'm just a little perplexed that we have a guy that's been in the limelight for the better part of the last forty years making one disastrous decision after another and people are acting shocked that somehow the dumpster fire was unforeseeable.

We need an amendment that disqualifies anyone from public office if they'd been involved in reality television.

Trump handed China a huge gift with his announcement to withdraw.

How do you figure? I'm sure this is the rhetoric being tossed around, but given that China was under no obligations from the agreement in the first place, I'm not sure how this helps them at all. If anything, it levels the playing field more and removes an advantage they would otherwise have had.

Quote:
Honestly, Trump has been the best thing America has done for Russia & China since Edward Snowden. Russia is able to expand its influence without any US hassle and China is poised to clean up on the pacts and agreements we're abandoning.

Saying it doesn't make it true. And again, how does China "clean up" as a result of this? That doesn't even makes sense. You do get that there was no plus side to the US for being in said agreement, and lots of negatives, right?

And on the topic of Russia expanding it's influence, I'm pretty sure you meant to say "Obama" and not "Trump". We basically retreated from Eastern Europe and the Middle East under Obama's foreign policy, and Russia went right in. Yeah. Not seeing where you're coming from here. Again. Just saying something over and over doesn't make it true.

In this case it's less what is said and more who says it. Like, as a completely random and hypothetical example off the top of my head completely random it'd be like someone who goes out of their way and prides themselves on how repetitious they are suddenly turning around and admonishing someone about how repetition doesn't lead to accuracy.

McCain said time and time again that he hated Obama's policies, hated his method WRT working with congress, that he sought geopol goals that McCain didn't agreed with, and was a bad leader for not getting more GOP buy in. He also said that Trump was a far worse leader. That's not a mutually exclusive position.

According to the Fake Liberal News monsters at the Washington Post, Trump is now directly under investigation by the FBI for obstruction of justice.

You can "leak" anything. Podesta's emails were not classified either, but no one balked at calling them "leaked", right? You're playing a semantics game. A private conversation with the president of the US, when you are an employee of the executive branch of the federal government is automatically considered privileged and confidential, even if not officially classified. Most people kinda get this right off the bat. And even if not illegal, choosing to send the contents of said conversation through a third party to a news organization is at the very least "questionable behavior" for someone in Comey's position.

At the end of the day, Comey was fired because he could not be trusted to be an honest unbiased operator. Ironically, prior to his actual firing, pretty much everyone on both sides of the political aisle agreed on this. It was only afterwards that the whole "OMG! Let's pretend that he wasn't fired for his ridiculous behavior last year, but because of <somethingsomething> Russian Collusion!!!" narrative started.

Him leaking a "memo" (let's recall that it's not like he was taking notes during the meeting, and we at this point have no clue when he actually wrote this), really only serves to justify the decision to fire him. He couldn't actually be trusted. Not by the people of the country (on any part of our political spectrum). Not by the men and woman working under him in the FBI. And not by the President of the US. How the heck did anyone think he could remain in that position? The fact that the FBI was moving forward with the Russian meddling investigation certainly compounded the problem, but not for the reason being claimed. No one could possibly trust that any politically connected investigation he might run would be free of the same kind of political shenanigans as what happened last year. And no one could therefore trust the outcome of any investigation he was involved in. No matter which "side" of the issue you may fall on, Comey could not be allowed to remain.

He [Rosenstein] made a recommendation, he’s highly respected, very good guy, very smart guy. The Democrats like him, the Republicans like him. He made a recommendation. But regardless of [the] recommendation, I was going to fire Comey. Knowing there was no good time to do it!

And in fact when I decided to just do it I said to myself, I said, “You know, this Russia thing with Trump and Russia is a made-up story, it’s an excuse by the Democrats for having lost an election that they should’ve won.”

You have to really be a special kind of tool to honestly believe that Trump fired Comey months into his administration (and after asking him to stay) over Comey's handling of Clinton last year.
