I'm pretty sure India and Pakistan are sworn enemies.

But regardless, my point is that Israel and Russia actually have pretty good relations; Russia buys arms from Israel, they have some degree of intelligence sharing, and polling stations for Russian elections are set up in Israel. Putin especially is pretty pro Israel.

They also have visa free travel.

Those dollars are all illegally in the country so they don't count.

Let's compromise and count them as 60 cents each.

Israel is probably less concerned (though not happy) about Russia having the intel than they are about the very probable chance that Syria and Iran -- two bona fide Russian allies and enemies of Israel -- now have said Israeli intel.

Beyond that, they can probably trace where that intel came from and someone's contact is about to have their family murdered.

Which bodes well for future partnerships. Smiley: rolleyes

Turns out that Sessions had a number of previously undisclosed meetings with Russian officials. Man, those Trump people sure have trouble remembering their Russian contacts, huh? Kushner, Flynn, Sessions, Manafort... Total coincidence, I'm sure.

Hey, Trump has promised to prosecute leakers who reveal counterterrorism related information to the fullest extent of the law. I truly believe he doesn't get the irony.

Honestly, it's more part of his whole "It's not the sins of the administration that matter, it's the dirty leakers talking about them!" messaging strategy.

We've already seen its effectiveness on select forum members.

Not that the administration had anything to do with the bombing and the people who leaked in this instance likely were in the wrong but Trump cares less about that and more about driving home the overall narrative that people leaking from inside the administration are the real problem, not the administration itself.

Especially after months of praising leaks. The damage control is doing more damage than the actual actions they're trying to spin.

It's like having a minor fire, followed by massive water damage.

Oh deary me, I'm confused.

When nasty fundamentalist cnuts are asploding concerts and killing children in my country, it's reassuring that we have intelligence sharing agreements with our allies to covertly track down and accelerate the arrest of the individuals and cells responsible.

So if one of the more pivotal nations appears to handle intelligence data like Bobcat Goldthwaite treats vowels, it's a bit of a worry, no?

Within hours of the Manchester bombing, when the police investigation was starting to trace potential collaborators, the US media starts spouting the perp's name, giving those mischievous little terrorists a good head start to go to ground. The next day, photos appear of bomb components, again in the US press. Both sources apparently came via the US security services (no hints of denial) leaking like a soggy paper cup.

Is anyone in charge? It strikes me that whoever's at the top of the tree (I don't know, say, the Head of State, Commander in Chief or something like that?) is either incompetent or complicit. Evidence suggests the former. Little clues like him telling the Ivans "Don't tell anyone I told you, but..." and blowing the confidentiality of intelligence sources of an allied state?

Seriously, his response has been to condemn the murdering bastages as "Losers". Losers? What sort of playground language is that? I assume Al-Q'aeda are "Doody-heads" and ISIL are "Weiners".

He's apparently apologised to Mother Theresa (the handbag-wielding hag who currently looks after our island on behalf of Her Maj).

FFS Yanks. Sort yer selves out will you? Our children are dying here.

A narcissistic trust fund manbaby with symptoms of dementia* is "in charge". His non-sycophant handlers are few and limited.

I'm so sorry. WAY sorrier than I was about Dubya.

And it seems Trump has backed out of the recent climate deal. That means the USA, Nicaragua, and Syria are the 3 countries not signed up for it. We're in good company at least. Smiley: rolleyes
