It really is nice to see so many of the posters I used to adore showing up here. Hopefully, there's a chance we can keep this place alive somehow.

This thread is bringing up so many warm feelings for me. It's practically a who's who of Asylum history (but no Skeeter or Totem or Katie or Kao or Dana or Gbaji [oh, sorry Gbaji, you did post! I scrolled through expecting a page from you and all I got was a sentence, so I didn't see you.]) But, so many of the people I really missed! And also Nobby! <3

Seriously though, I've missed you guys. I cannot believe it's been SEVEN YEARS since the last time I checked in with you. It's almost unfathomable that I've known some of you folk for TWELVE years now. I've known most of you longer than I've even known my husband. That's right! I got married! Mr. Sabo 2 and I recently celebrated our tenth anniversary together. I even have an entirely respectable, grown-up job in education now. Gosh, I'm quite unexpectedly middle aged these days. Where does the time go?

I'm so happy you guys are still around. I don't think I can begin to tell you how much I've missed all of you. At the risk of coming off schlocky, I really do love you strange, strange people.

My understanding is that there was a falling out between the site owners and Kao. I was definitely sad to hear about that. I can't imagine someone caring about the community as much as he did not having a place in it.

Well, Kao got canned during the last round of layoffs (as did most others) so I don't know if it's deeper than that but that alone seems reason enough not to hang around.

Nice try, attempting us get us all to stop coming here, so you can rule, unopposed! But I'm not falling for it, Master!...Wait, what?

I hate that for Kao, I always had a lot of respect for the guy. After the years he put in, he deserves better.

Gratz on the ball and chain upgrade! Want to hear something even scarier as we discuss how long we've all known each other? My oldest starts high school this year. Oh and driving. Smiley: eek
