Trump and Cruz did okay a few times, Kasich did as well as he usually does, Rubio should have kept his trap shut. Overall, we all lost.

Trump didn't do great but tomorrow he'll announce that the Pope is endorsing him or something. Cruz (and to a lesser extent Kasich) did well at making themselves the non-Trump candidate. Rubio should have stayed home -- I can't believe that this debate gained him a single supporter.

It's performances like that that make me want to go to my polling station and set it on fire.

I think I've done enough damage to my brain, so it's time for Adult Swim for some intellectual stimulating programming.

Aaaaand it's the Limbaugh episode of Family Guy. You have failed me TV.

So it's really you that's not getting the point. Which is not surprising since you don't believe in statistics.
Weren't you the fan of statistics? Well, statistics show that white people use drugs at the same rate as blacks and are more likely to be stopped for the same crime with longer sentences. Oh.. I guess, you choose not to believe those statistics. Funny how that works.

Yeah, more frequent stops and longer sentences is total ******** racism, no argument there. But the reason the cops are in black neighborhoods to begin with is because they are disproportionately the victims of crime.

In summary, I think we're talking past each other. Which is likely my fault, because I generally don't bother reading your posts in much detail since they commonly lack coherence.

Are you saying that these admitted racists were concerned about the safety of the people that they are bigoted against? The answer is "no". The statistics (what you live by) of stop and frisk in New York clearly demonstrated that more contraband was found on white people than minorities, yet minorities were stopped nearly 80%(?) of the time.

So, no, this wasn't about helping victims, but targeting victims who are least likely able to defend themselves. Secondly, people are conflating killers with drug dealers and drug users. No one is complaining about taking killers off the streets. The problem is the assumption that everyone in the neighborhood is guilty till proven innocent.

Maybe your incapability of reading coherently is the problem.

P.S. I didn't say that I don't believe in statistics, but I'm biased against statistics because I'm smart enough not to take information at face value without seeing the bigger picture.

I think there's a bigger difference between "A majority of people don't want a candidate" and "a majority of people want a candidate" I realize it's an analogy, I just don't think it's a good one.

edit: Actually is it actually an analogy? or is it just a comparison. I guess fundamentally it can be. is there a difference?

Sorry, what were we talking about?

I don't know. It's Lent, I'm hungry. Want to murder and devour a cow, but am going to have to settle for tuna and some cheese.

Well, he'll likely win a plurality of the popular vote which will still be more of a mandate towards the nomination than anyone else can claim.

Lent makes me say "Hot diggity, the corner market has shrimp baskets today!" which is pretty much as the Church intended.

You know, any other day of the year, I love shrimp. I can't get enough tuna. Salmon with coconut and pineapple is amazing. But on a Friday during Lent, they're all disgusting and horrible and need to stay away from me.
