No, I didn't.
Well, that's how I read it. I know, not your problem right? Just like how its not SF DA's problem that you misinterpret things they do/say because it fits the narrative you want.

That's mostly hype. Just like the 2014 midterm elections where polls were showing "close" races in places like Kentucky, Georgia and Texas. The media wants ratings and talking about Hil-Rod nonstop isn't as enticing.

Especially when she's not talking to the media, or really anybody. Good 'ole Bernie isn't shy.

Which the media hasn't figured out is her way of trying to stay out of the spotlight and becoming "old news". Bernie getting big crowds and talking is a blessing in disguise. However, let's keep it real, when Bernie get's big crowds, we hear about them the next day. When Hillary speaks to a handful of people, there's live coverage.

Well, so much for the McCain thing sinking Trump, eh? Leading with 18-25% nationally and leading in New Hampshire (two points behind Walker in Iowa).

Half a year before the first primaries, he won't win, etc. But he's sure taking the air out of the room -- and news cycles away from every GOP candidate whose name doesn't rhyme with "rump".

This is a great example of how broken our primary system is. I love how people are complaining how Fox News is "ruining" the primary system because Fox News shouldn't decide how the primary goes, we reserve that right to Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina. "Oh no, the GOP has to appeal nationally as opposed to practically living in New Hampshire and Iowa"

If the Trump maintains this steam, I think there will be a serious consideration of revamping the primary system.

Well, the complaint about Fox News is that they decided to allow entrance into the debates based on your national polling. Traditionally, candidates would focus their limited monies on Iowa and New Hampshire and then hope to ramp up donations based on doing well in those states. But a requirement to poll well nationally means you need to split that money into trying to create a national name for yourself which comes at the detriment of your Iowa/NH standing that you need to actually win the primary.

It's a valid argument but the other option is to let everyone into the debate and it's already ridiculous that there'll be ten people on stage. It's also the result of making Fox the gatekeeper for the debates but the RNC put that one upon themselves.

What about the .0000000000000001% chance that Trump loses primary, Hilary loses primary to Sanders, and then they win the election on the 3rd party Trump/Clinton ticket.

Not such a bad thing, really. Focus centered on Trump means no one is really focused on the other fourteen candidate's and Jeb's past.

Wouldn't that be potentially worse for those candidates as then those items come out closer to when voting occurs and would be fresher and therefore, more damaging to them in the eyes of the voters?

It's also worse for them since you have a handful of guys scrambling to make any news for themselves so they can get some name recognition in the polls and get a debate slot.

Even with the better suited candidates, the point of starting your campaign in April is to spend the summer campaigning and making the news, not to spend it in the shadow of someone else.

As a sign of the RNC's nervousness, Reince Priebus (RNC head) is saying that "all the candidates" should take a pledge not to run as a third party candidate. Because, you know, that's a real fear regarding Bobby Jindal or Mike Huckabee.

I feel the start of the cycle is a lot like Survivor. At first you just want to keep your head down and stay on by not being noticed. Once something damaging comes out it'll knock them out of contention regardless of when it happens, so it'd be better for them to thin out the herd first. Anyway, I could be a yutz, but that'd be my strategy.

I still think the camouflage of Trump is still a good thing, but even if it isn't giving Trump something else to complain about certainly doesn't help anyone but Trump.

Jeb's past of successfully governing a large swing state during a national boom period? Why wouldn't he want to focus on that?

They also dispatched some knob in Communications to write an Op-Ed for the Journal praising the virtue and fairness of the debate format.

Daily Beast has an amusing article today -- not amusing for the bits about Trump's ex-wife alleging in a book that he once raped her, but for the other 2/3rds of the article dominated by Trump's lawyer threatening to sue the Daily Beast and destroy the writer's career if they publish the story.

Of course, Trump's acolytes will just see this as sticking it to the media.

Edit: Link contains a dirty, dirty word so you'll have to noodle it out yourself.
