I'm going to poke my conservative small government focused ideology in here and say that voting third party, not because you think they can win, and maybe even not because you agree with them, but merely so they can gain matching funds, is not terribly enticing to me. So... Um.... No?

And Bijou? This. See... this is what I was talking about.

Sheesh!

**** you, ******* gbaji.

And this idiot Jophiel. Math challenged. Incapable of understanding a) electoral collage, b) popular votes....and not just that ignorance, but also how or why a different vote would aid a third party, in a purported already-notionally-settled state.

I mean, this idiot keeps tossing out popular votes and electorals and not really aware of much or why a few deviants might vote instead for someone other than Jophiel's GOD. Or instead, the ANTI-GOD.

I mean, look at this idiot.

Or not. Trump not likely to acknowledge the Armenian Genocide happened (NOR DID OBAMA DESPITE PROMISE, THUS THE THREAD).

Let's just be thankful we can go to sleep and wake up angry instead of dead.

And **** Trump too of course, eta if some are confused such as I'm a Trump fan. Nope.

Despite your desperate attempts to convince yourself I must be stupid, you're displaying you can't grasp simple math.

If I am choosing between voting for either you or Bob, what is the effect of voting for you? You have 1 more vote than the alternative, but ALSO Bob has 1 less vote than the alternative. Voting for 1 party in a single choice selection is mathematically equivalent to voting against all other options. You could only not take away votes from the other parties if you were allowed to mark multiple selection on the same ballot (i.e. I vote Green and Dem, but do not vote GOP).

If you want another party other than Dems and the GOP to be viable, then you should support election reform so that it is not strategically detrimental to vote third party.

It's really really simple, a third party is a spoiler. it works the exact same as the Dems or GOP running multiple candidates, and the reason people avoid voting third party is for the exact same strategic reasons they don't want parties to run multiple candidates.

I think he was saying that in a state where the outcome is already likely determined (heavily Dem or GOP state), then you may as well vote for a third party, so that they get matching funds, so that... well... something happens. Didn't quite get that part. Hence, my response that as someone who would kinda like to minimize the tax dollars being spent on this stuff, taking an action that has no purpose except to increased the dollars I'm going to have to match to a third party that will still have zero chance of winning isn't something I can support.

You should always vote for the candidate with a good balance between "best represents what I want" and "best chance to win". Voting for someone who perfectly matches your own personal ideology but who has a zero chance of winning is throwing away your vote. Voting for someone with a high chance of winning, but whose ideology is in opposition to your own is voting against your own interest. Usually, out of the two major candidates in the race, one of them will, at the very least, be "less bad" to you, based on your own personal ideology. It behooves you to vote for that person, just for that reason.

I get the whole "if enough people vote third party, then that party may become viable" concept, but at least in federal elections (and for the most part in state elections as well), it's not going to happen. You're far far better off working as a voting block within one of the two major parties, attempting to influence their platform towards your positions, than hanging around on the outside, with a "perfect platform", but no chance to actually implement it.

Or you could admit how stupid and useless you are for trusting President Barack Obama to hold up to his promise.

"Allegory"

I mean my little 300 post have looked up your 30,000 and I'm not impressed. Maybe you can keep nibbling on my slough instead of posting anything instrumental.

And I'm the "Does Obama Officially Suck" poster. Again, like only 300. Just utter obvious, but then a HOST of morons denying something. Laughable, really. And, as such, well I'm really not a troll. If better denials I would've posted more in those/these/this threads.

But of course, imo there is no denial that say, Obama was an utter piece of ****.

Anyway god bless you "Allegory", apparently not a Yemeni or Syrian or Afghani or Iraqi or Ukranian. Keep up with your bench press skills.

I think he was saying

Thanks for that. I think I was saying MATHEMATICS.

Which various morons here apparently aren't familiar with (or game theory), and/or are yet disingenuously act as if "GOSH".

Is it any wonder why a lying **** such as a Jophiel has posted a thousand times more than me here? Truth is savaged. Comfort is lying. This idiot acting as if a vote in California means anything other than a 0.01 or such effort to gain pop vote 5%.

These responders are all and ever tribalists, squids, liars, naked ignorants...boring ******** so why devote anything other than 219 or whatever posts to it. And won't engage honestly at any point; to admit a wrong as I have in better forums, or they would, etc. Nope. So instead this is just bombs, bombing. Visit every couple months and sigh. Again though, not a troll. Not at all. But maybe rabble-rouse and give opportunity for posters to say stuff like Obama Sucks or something. Maybe some magical being not of this previous forum would swoop down. But then nope...pudding for miles.

**** you too gbaji. For your horrid conservative beliefs. At least you stand tall despite being an *******, unlike these useless "liberal" *****.

Most pathetic political forum ever, perchance.

Oh and I even missed this glorious and wondrous imagination of a child, who has 30 billion posts here:

Allegory wrote:

What an amazing mathematical solution if there are only three voters in existence.

Hey, I have a gallon of gasoline. Do I have the only one????! It might be worth a billion dollars if 100,000,000 people also don't have a gallon too! UH DURRRRR.

Look at this idiot. "Only three people can vote in each state, or entire country!", or whatever foolish BS he is balderdashing. And again isn't aware of say, the Electoral College. Was he Clinton's campaign manager!? TEE HEE

And never at any time deals with 5% national vote in the real world the United States national election which has a mathematical allowance therein via vote numbers, thus meaning that a vote for a third party is indeed an attempt to do something and indeed a mathematical + x towards a desired outcome which would in particular be easier done in done states such as Texas, Cali, NY. Which I'd said before yet some ghosts still harass unwilling to understand math and United States elections and rules and parameters for third parties and such....You idiots.

The sigh factor is so high here. I mean, just so stupid, not just of mathematics and election rules and monies which people here don't seem to understand or acknowledge or bother to look up...or more likely REFUSE to admit a thing.

Baby diaper forum. Might as well be that. Cunts.
