Is ZAM not supporting the new EQ2 expansions?Follow

In the past I have always turned to ZAM for all things EQ2. Now it appears to me that that ever since Daybreak Games took over EQ2, ZAM has stopped updating the EQ2 site. I have tried to find quest and tradeskill information about Terrors of Thalumbra and Planes of Prophecy and have found nothing. Have you indeed stopped updating your database for EQ2? If so, why? I have always considered ZAM the best EQ2 information database on the web and it makes me sad to think that you have abandoned your EQ fans just because the game was sold by SOE. Thank you.

Hi ShylariaWindsong,

ZAM downgraded the allakhazam platform back in 2015 I believe to legacy sites that are no longer updated by ZAM employees. Only volunteers update content now on certain sites which EQ2 doesn't have any active volunteers for.

Thank you for your reply. It’s really a shame that no one has any interest in EQ2 to want to update ZAM. I would love to learn how but I wouldn’t know how or where to even look to create the quality posts ZAM has provided in the past. So much information on quests, NPCs, and content is so hard to find any more. If anyone could point me in the right direction I’d like to give it a try. Anyway thanks again.

ShylariaWindsong,

I can add you as a content admin if you are interested in updating content for the EQ2 site. I don't update that site so I'm not sure what is all involved with it. Maybe missjackie can help you out with all that since she worked on content for the EQ2 site. Are you still interested in becoming a content admin for the EQ2 site?
