So, a guy came in to the Mission drunk and was asked to leave. Nothing original there, happens all the time.

Five minutes later he came back dripping blood from three stab wounds: leg, chest, neck. So; that was different.

That was at 2:30pm. Since then we've had 6 people pulled by the PD for drunk and refusal to vacate, two arrested for fighting (more blood!) and one yanked on a felony warrant.

Another fine day at the Cornerstone Rescue Mission.

I <3 this job. Never a boring day.

EDIT: Because bold !=blood

You should record the fights and sell them online for money for the mission.

You should check NeweggFlash, from time to time they have refurb'd Sony Handycams for $130.

Your job sounds as interesting as mine, Bijou! Throw in some psychosis, schizophrenics, and manic episodes and that's pretty much what I deal with on a nightly basis. There's rarely large quantities of blood but there's always urine, fecal matter, or ***** to make up for it. Never a dull night and you never know what is going to walk through the door!

Edit: And if I didn't have to worry about pesky HIPAA violations, I totally would bring a video camera to work every night.

Buy a cheap camera for now, and offer a ham sandwich to entice people to fight.
