One thing that's always amazed me about musicians, whether they're pianists, guitarists, or launcpad players, is how they're able to memorize the combination and order of keys/strings to hit.

I mean, I'm pretty fast on a keyboard (not the musical kind), but the buttons are labeled and everything.

It's a muscle memory thing. Once you associate a tone mentally with a certain combination of fingers, it's impossible to un-associate it. I haven't touched a trumpet or violin in years but I can still do the fingerings for a C scale on either instrument without thinking too hard about it.

On this account: Aug 08 2008
However this is not my original account. I am/was the user *************** but y'all would get me confused with that other poster who is now no longer.

I started coming to this site back in 2004 for info on FFXI. I think old account had 4k? I dunno, pretty sure Kao killed that account when I let it slip that I had a "sock" account. I made new account because I was "done" with FFXI and had been playing WoW for almost a year or so, and just didn't want to use the Japanese phrase anymore :3

She's a good violinist, but her weird dance moves and constant stargazing make her videos awkward as hell.

As for what I'm listening to:

I enjoyed that.

Been listening to Steel Panther last few days, NSFW:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=roRcksH2_HQ

Pandora and the station Today's Alternative, Incubus, and Irish Pup is what I stream at work.
The down side to getting the "promotion" is I am unable to listen to music with headphones at work anymore. I have to be pretty picky on what I play that way if a Boss or someone "important" walks into the room, I'm not blasting underground rap or death metal. Not that I would be embarrassed, but they might get an earful XD
