We received word today that Judy, aka Looker, our long time news and editorial copy editor, passed away last night due to illness. Our thoughts and prayers are with her and her family. Judy did interact from time to time with the various areas of the forum, and is the first member of the staff side of the Zam family that we have lost. She will be missed.

Wow that is awful news, she'll certainly be missed. Smiley: frown

Thank you Looker for all the times you crossed my 't's and dotted my 'i's for me. It was great having someone there who could help me along. Thank you even for that one time where raid progression got confused as a date and I didn't notice until after the article was posted; 9/12 was a pretty good clear for the group, Sept 12th not so much. I still chuckle thinking back on it, me being too timid to say anything about it, even afterwards. Smiley: lol

A fun memory. Smiley: smile

Best wishes to her loved ones and thoughts and prayers go out as well, both to them and those of you who knew her much better than I did.

When someone is good at their job behind the scenes, they are invisible.

Thank you Looker, you did a great job. I'm sorry I never got to meet you. Rest in peace.

My thoughts go out to the ZAM family and to Looker's family.

I've been away, but I'm terribly sorry to hear about Zam's loss and Looker's family's loss.

The Lord bless her and keep her.

Some horrible human being decided to spam a memorial thread of one of my former co workers with a very inappropriate comment consisting of wording along the lines of "good, and I hope the rest of you admins are next" but with more crazyness. Yes, it was who you suspect it was, Yes, I am dealing with it appropriatly, but this is not the thread to address that vile comment beyond this one comment.

Why can't you just nuke him from orbit? It's the only way to be sure...

While this was really quite an inappropriate posting, I have to say that I do generally find it amusing when he pops up on one site or another every couple years to scream "Look at me! I still exist!" Forum denizens have their fun poking at him for a day, and he fades back into obscurity for another year. It's sad and amazing at the same time that he's still at it after all these years.
