I decided to upgrade to a better case to accommodate future upgrades. I went with a Coolermaster HAF 932. I've got everything ported over to it and it's running fine, but I was curious as to one thing. There is large plastic box that screws onto the drive cage and covers the end of the video card. It doesn't seem to serve any practical purpose. It doesn't support the end of the video card, which is the only use I can see for something like that. So, the question is, qhat is the point of this strange thing?

The box is for air channeling to help cool your video cards, you can also install a 120mm fan in it for additional cooling.

Here's a to a you tube on the case, at 2.14 is where he talks about it and shows the fan installation.
