Ah, that theory. My roommate's been making that joke since the Nightmare of Mensis. Edit: Also, forgot to thank you for quoting that for me. Thanks. Smiley: nod

Good stuff. That abandoned workshop was one of my favorite things in the game. Just such a cool touch, especially the dialogue you can unlock with the doll for finding the item there.

I'd not pieced that together about Odeon. I knew pebbles were eyes, and the gougers try to remove yours, but not why. It makes sense though since insight is basically synonymous with madness in game.

I'm currently sitting at 91 insight, so my character is most likely completely nuts by now. In honor of that I am wearing Choir Garb with the Blindfold mask. I have moved beyond normal sight now. I've seen things man. Things.

*Edit: So that Pthu*spits Descendant sure is aggressive. 3 x 1500 viscerals. He dead.

Beat the ******* of Eastwick on the second try. I ******* hate add fights, and if I knew that the summoned monsters do not appear at 0 Insight I would have dumped it all.

Does Insight boost the damage on Visceral Attacks, or just the standard stats?

Neither that I am aware of. Skill is the visceral scaler. Insight just makes you a loon, or you can spend it on some stuff at the insight bath messenger, and see some invisible horrors. Grats on witch, I know that Pols vid made it look easy but there is really a strat to it. Getting both close to death before killing one is key. Or else it;s an go from , wtf this is easy to wtf that spam CC is is really fast in a hurry.

In my world I have seen Nicholas Cage. That ****** is a runner though. Got him to half, got sloppy because the first part is so easy and a skelly spanked me. This is a Bloodborne thing. some fights lul you to sleep before ratcheting up to spank your ***.As previously noted about the witches. I think that is pretty inventive really. I think Micolash will be no problem tomorrow.

Also Nightmare of Mensis is like farm heaven. 3400 for one stone giant kill that takes 3 hits of BoM? Ok you bet. Smiley: smile

Insight strongly decreases frenzy resist. Running through the Mother Brain area with that much must have sucked.

You do it right, though, and you end up with a ridiculously easy fight Even my low level bloodtinge character got through it with no problem, despite having to Pallytime-style it to get to the boss because otherwise the Executioners would kill me.

Also, my buddy is a dork. Long video, but you'll get the idea fairly early in.

Since you're fighting Micolash, you might get a kick out of the PvP version of him. My roommate told me about this and it's kinda funny.

Oh man, I hate runners. Speaking of Awooooo, he dead. Was another lul me to sleep or annoy me out of concentrating type fight. Smiley: oyvey He chained spammed me with with arcane explosions once when I had him at 2% health. Not proud of that. But I did go back and stick to his **** like glue the next time to prevent it. Even beast roared him a couple times to let him know that running is not cool.

Now to figure out where that blood rock is.

Yay I dumped the brain! Making across that bridge was giving me frenzy IRL. I even spent my insight down to ~20 and put on the highest frenzy resist gear in the game. Shew. Now to get mah rock.

I'm pretty much holding off on the last couple bosses just to dink around with Chalices, but you know what? I have a really hard time staying into them. Especially since the Pthmerica series is all I have done so far. I'm pretty sick of looking at the same 4 rooms even though I am in lower 3 now. Especially the big room with the flower turrets. *note to room: Your too big. You waste my time. Also all bell maidens can DIAF.

The other thing I won't miss if I take the plunge soon is the screaming. Look I get it, your all evil and nightmarish but for F's sake does everything in the game have to constantly scream/squeal/bark at a higher volume than anything else in game? It has me lowering the volume most of the time to almost nothing.

I'm level 96 now and kind of balanced my stats giving spider pigs rectal exams. With 3 moon runes they are worth 16k+ each add the shadows of farmin around them and each run is like 60k XP for a few minutes work. I'm something like:

30 Vit
25 End
10 STR
40 Skill
25 BT
21 Arc

I can now use the cool enchant shell on my pimp can and it looks amazing in whip form. Plus it makes a noise I actually enjoy. It does not match my BoM +10 for AR but it's not far behind at +9 when enchanted and the range can be nice. Might casually finish Arc to 25 making me level 100 then just say ***** the chalices. I don't really need the level 5 bloodstones anymore and that's the only reason I am doing them. Will decide later.

According to this post in NeoGaf there are some NPCs and the game's final boss in at the end of all the Chalice dungeons.

Nightmare of Mensis middle lamp right after you beat Micolash. Up the stairs kill 3 shadows, backstab pig 1, walk up a bit get pig 2's attention, seprate him from pig 3 when he charges. Charge R2, check his prostate, Kill 3rd pig, profit. Some people pull the second 2 pigs to the 4 shadows of yharnam above them but I tried it an it's too chaotic and not time efficient. (They fight each other)

This is not a great vid, as he does not pull the last two pigs and only has 2 moon runes on so gets 12k a pig. Also I would not bother with the dog crows. If you want to final strongest moon rune you have to "make contact" with mother brain.

But you do get to see the basic idea, knock down pig. Reach on in there. Which makes me think about the text on the white surgical gloves and reaching in and ripping out the infection, on black church set.

Killed Darkbeast Paarl on third attempt. I see that From gave him that AoE to keep you from camping under the stomach, otherwise the A.I. is the same as Royal Rat Authority.

Yup, the key is get on him and knock the juice off him, then stun the crap out of him. Nice use of baits though. He can really be a menace if he slips away and claw frenzies you. Big range, wide arc, lots of damage. Royal Rat authority had plague rats, if you did not have an aoe for that fight to knock them out quick they were the real boss. Smiley: nod

Forgot I had not gone back to kill Ebrietus and she has the Iszh chalice. Decided to push on with chalices now that I am less grumpy. Downed her but she is interesting for a couple of reasons. She spins on a dime constantly and her tentacles **** block you from getting into position. If you panic and try to get out to heal she just charges you with a half the room hitbox. If you stay in to heal she smashes you after spinning on a dime.

Phase 1 is easy I can get past her genticles and lay down serious damage hopefully catching the viceral on her head during the stun at the beginning of phase two. Phase 2 can go more or less the same depending. 3 was giving me trouble, she goes ape-s.h.i.t and thrashes like crazy and can shoot lasers through her own body...

So I decided to melee her phase 1-2 and then get out because lasers are easier to dodge at range. Then I bone ashed my Evelyn and spammed her fat face until I caught the stun to visceral. Japanese Schoolgirls the world over were much relieved.

Lower Pthu 3, That Rom in a room fight is a bit of a thing. Can get him to 30 percent easy If I am patient and fight all the spiders but man that takes a long time after a while. Phase 3 of course per usual he aoe's non stop to stop you form finishing him. Feel pretty good about being able to dodge his sky ice all day. But it's just a bit long and tedious.

Will get him in a bit after a break.
