Yeah thanks. Started Clicker Heroes again...

There goes my productivity.

Made it to level 140 and beat it before my first ascension. My 40 Hero Souls are fully invested in Ancients at this point. I'm pretty sure that my HS allocation is not optimal but I don't care.
I have 5 gilded heroes and can't wait to get more. Is there another way besides beating a higher bosslevel than before to get those?

The additions to the game since I last played are extremely nice. I'm now officially addicted. And some kind of Hero Soul skill tree seems to be in order for the next patch.

The nerf to the idle ancients doesn't affect me since I didn't like how they affected my usage of skills and therefore didn't use them. Some people seem pretty upset about it though.

Ascended for the third time. I can now burn through the first ~60 levels pretty fast, with only a second here and there of downtime.

Have gained 62 Hero Souls so far and they all are invested in Ancients.

Level 5 Argaiv, for +10% gilded damage bonus (per gild)
Level 6 Mammon, for +30% gold dropped
Level 22 Morgulis, for +242% damage

My gilded heros are: Brittany, Samurai, Jerator, Amenhotep and Shinatobe (all x1).

I don't degild and I suspect my Hero Soul allocation to be rather bad, but I'm enjoying myself. So I got that going for me...

Yeah I saw a similar link on Reddit. Or maybe it was the same. But I spent so much time in the last years trying to have the optimal build in WoW, I'd rather just play and enjoy the ride this time.
If I progress a bit slower that's okay for me.

I was hitting the same wall. My advice would be to try and get the Vaagur ancient (cooldown reduction) and spam Energize/Dark Ritual. Currently working on level 275 with only 24 souls and a maxed out Vaagur.

I'm pretty far along (highest level 480), and I still hit a slowdown at about 140-150. It has shrunk though; a lot of things help:

-Gilded Treebeast or Frostleaf.
-Cost reduction Ancient (Dogcog), which reduces upgrade costs by 50% at max level.
-Lots of Hero Souls (or Morgulis)

Usually only takes me a minute or two now to jump the hump from Frostleaf to level 1000 Treebeast. Used to require usage of my cooldowns to get there in a timely manner.

Current ancients:
Atman (max, +25% chance of Primal Boss spawn)
Dogcog (max, -50% cost to buy/upgrade heroes)
Vaagur (max, -75% cooldown reduction)
Fragsworth (21, +420% click damage)
Mammon (20, +100% gold drop)
Morgulis (1054, +11,594% DPS... I drop all my extra souls in here instead of keeping them on hand)

Highest gilded heroes are Ivan (7), Bobby (7), and Mercedes (5). I've rerolled my heroes enough that only the 450% DPS modified ones are gilded.

Debating pumping more souls into Morgulis and trying for level 500, or wasting them on Ancient rerolls to get something useful like Solomon (+Primal drop amount), Bhaal (+Crit damage), Mimzee (bonus gold from treasure chests) or Dora (+chance of treasure chest). Right now my current roll is all the +cooldown power lengths... and it costs 23 souls just to reroll

I also learned that if you reset your ancient selections you do NOT get back the souls spent on rerolling ancients. Doh; I've probably spent about a hundred or two...

Wait what is this progress mode thing? That would be very useful. Is it in the options?

I've only earned 154 so far. They are all invested in Ancients though since I also play with Morgulis.

I already have Bhaal (Level 1). Not sure if he is good in the early stages of the game I'm still in. That's why I haven't bothered to level him yet.

It's like you're all speaking a completely different language to me, and I've been playing the game...

Though I tend to rely mostly on passive dps.

Idle players want Siyalatas and Libertas (bonus DPS and gold while idle). They are widely considered the best Ancients if you aren't auto-clicking or playing for hours a day. Then Atman and Solomon (More chance of Primal bosses/more hero soul drops from primal bosses).




Still Clicker Heroes. The latest patch revamped the prestige system; you can now spend Hero Souls to buy and upgrade 26 different Ancients.

As an update, finally hit level 500 (achievement, ho!). Might get a few more multiple multiples of 10 (530 or so seems like a decent goal) to build up some more Gilded Heroes. I also unlocked Agraiv (+Gilded Hero DPS) and Mimzee (+gold from Treasure Chest). I really like Agraiv, but Mimzee is a little underwhelming until I unlock Dora (+Treasure chest spawn rate). That will be my next... that or Bhaal (+crit click damage). Those are all the ones I really want
