Get now while it's still relatively easy to get. Come October 6th it gets moved to a schedule 2 med in the US.

I've taken all I had. No surprise it is getting added to that list, it has Codeine in in it.
The shiz is wicked. I was on a high dose the 1st week after my surgery back in July. It made my skin crawl. It is a shame my Doc didn't warn me that I needed to take a stool softener...
I also do not remember much of July and half of August lol.

I'm guessing you're not from the US then, Halcion (triazolam) is still widely available here. Though, I'm not sure why a dentist would be prescribing it, it's used for insomnia.

At one time it was marketed by pharmaceutical company sales reps as a good short-term tranquilizer, perfect for people who become anxious before dentist appointments. It's now marketed for insomnia for the same reason, I guess - you want something that will get you to sleep but not keep you from getting up.

The old remedy is sometimes the best remedy though. At one time doctors wrote for one or two ounces of sherry wine at bedtime for hospital patients to help them sleep.

Went ahead and grabbed Reaper of Souls while it's cheap(considered grabbing Heart of the Swarm instead, but 20 seems to be the regular price so I'll get that later). Downloading now.

Regarding tangent: Tooth extraction not until 10/20. Telling them that the pain was bad enough to leave me on the floor in a fetal position yesterday was apparently only enough to get them to prescribe anti-biotics. Strangely enough, that actually seems to be helping. It's either that or switching from ibuprofen to naproxen.

I've been meaning to ask this since Saturday and keep forgetting. At some point, did someone on here whose Blizz ID starts with "Tha" send me a friend request that I never responded to? If so, please PM me and let me know so I can approve it. I'm not sure how long it has been sitting there and I can't figure out who it belongs to.

Finally took my Monk to 70, which has now opened up Adventure mode for the rest of my 'toons. I'm liking this mode as I was getting pretty tired of repeating the entire story again and again, and it's relatively quick. I'd almost say painless, but I stress myself out a little too much by ramping up the difficulty to gain faster levels. Fighting Diablo at level 15 on Torment 2 on my seasonal Crusader was....interesting.

Are you keeping the games open? or private? I found leveling my WD that people were willing and wanting to do Adventure mode in groups to level up (or ask in /1 for a PL).

You get a 10% boost to experience, gold find, and (I think) magic find for each person playing with you. This is on top of four people together generally being able to kill things faster and at a higher difficulty than four people playing solo.

Data concerning the Greater Rift levels players have been able to complete, by class.

What makes DH so strong? Also is there a build where they can just stand around and do nothing, but win?
I ask because I was trying to run some T6 Rifts last night, and there were 2 DHs. They just stood there, never did I see an animation. They moved out of crap, and would try to rez, but never once did I see them pewpew.

I fear my WD is doomed. It has now been weeks since the last time anything remotely helpful in a gear up has dropped on him. I can solo up to T3 alone in bounties and rifts. I can do up to lv20 G.Rift.
Might be time to go back to Monk, or try a different class :3

Is there anywhere with a primer where I can learn all the acronyms(or in the case where it's obvious, what particularly they're referring to) you people are using? My highest D3 character was only played long enough to beat Diablo many moons ago and now I'm completely lost upon returning.

Some of this info might be off, because I haven't played in a while and am just going off of memory. You can look up more specific info, though.

RoRG= Ring of Royal Grandeur. It's a ring that can be gotten from the bounty reward that you get for clearing the available Adventure Mode bounties in Act I. In Adventure Mode, you pick an act and it gives you 5 bounties. Some are "kill X boss," some are "enter X dungeon, clear all the enemies," etc. Clear all 5 in one act, and you get a usable chest that drops a bunch of items.

The Ring of Royal Grandeur itself lowers the requirements for set bonuses by one (but not below 2), so you can use it to obtain bonuses from more than one set. So, if you have bonuses at 2 and 3 pieces worn, the ring lets you get both those bonuses at 2 pieces. It doesn't let you wear one piece and get the two-piece bonus, though. It's a highly desired ring. The stats are pretty crappy relative to other legendary rings, but if you have the gear to get a bunch of bonuses, it can be worth it.

T1-T6 are difficulty levels, Torment 1- Torment 6. Higher levels give better drop rates (and better items, IIRC).

GR# is Greater Rift (Level #). Greater Rifts are a game mode where you enter an area and kill mobs until a boss spawns. No items drop until after you kill the boss. You can then choose to go to the next level rift, or upgrade legendary gems.

DH is Demon Hunter. WD is Witch Doctor. There are probably some acronyms being used for ability names. Were there any acronyms in particular that you didn't get?

There is a set for Demon Hunters called the Marauder's Set. Check out those set bonuses. Yeah.

Now imagine that plus a Ring of Royal Grandeur, plus Tasker and Theo, plus etc. etc. You get into absolutely crazy damage range really quickly. On top of that, you can go hide in the other room while your sentries and pets kill stuff. So you can go full glass cannon build most of the time, while still avoiding a ton of damage.

Ah, I see. I'm trying to do something similar with WD, but I can't get the drops ><

Okay, now that I've woken up, here are a couple further questions.
1)Any general guidelines on what level(and/or paragon level?) one should consider entering each difficulty setting? I'm at roughly level 35, currently in normal and have yet to even consider using a health potion. In fact, the only time I see my health globe even move is if I stand in something stupid. And bosses are currently dying in a matter of ten seconds or so. I also remember it being a bit more difficult on my playthrough back when it first came out.

2)Goblin portals: Only available on Adventure Mode or can they pop from treasure goblins on campaign mode?

Which difficulty you should play in has less do to with your level and more with your equipment. Since monsters level up with you gaining a level doesn't help in that regard.
It sounds as if you could easily go up a few difficulties. If you're playing Hardcore mode, do it one at a time and test each new setting for a while before deciding if you want to ramp it up further.

Makes sense. And no hardcore for me. It sounds like an exercise in frustration.

Edit: I decided to check out some vids after posting the initial questions. Let me see if I'm understanding one of them right, or if it even makes sense as a metric: Is killing white mobs in 1-2 hits while not really struggling with health a decent indicator for it to be a good point to up difficulty?

Yes.
Gearing up tip, for leveling: Stack all DMG+ gear. Don't worry about Toughness (HP) or Life. Hit stuff like you a a banshee driving a Mack Truck. Roll over monsters.

When I was leveling the WD I had played on normal until 10ish (when I could make decent gear from BS- already having a season Monk and Barb who unlocked so much), Normal was to easy then. Heck even hard was easy. A few bounties later I had upgraded gear and went up a level, at by 45 I was playing at max difficulty until I hit 70.

All gems that are pre-61 you should not deal with. It is a waste of money to combine them. Imperial and w/e the next level is are the 2 you want.

The web is telling me only in Adventure Mode at lv70 and you have to be playing Hard or higher. They will not open a portal inside a Rift, but they do drop a lot of mats inside of Rifts (so don't pass them up).

Have you decided which class you want to level first?

If white mobs are killing you then lower the difficulty. If you are killing white mobs in 1-2 hits then raise the difficulty. If yellow mobs sometimes kill you then you can probably still raise the difficulty and try to play more carefully (which = slower, which = slower exp gain) or play with your gear. For instance, with a Monk you can try and go with attack speed bonus and more life-on-hit and then go toe-to-toe and regen life with each hit. It will take some adjusting on your part to find the right difficulty level.

As for blue mobs - I hate them all. I'd rather have two yellows than a group of blues (most times). The blues come in groups and can be annoying as hell. And they tag-team a lot so you have to concentrate to stay on the one with the least life in order to pick them off. Although the two yellows thing probably applies more when you get better gear and are further along.

It's like taking a shower - you turn the hot water on and adjust down to a reasonable shower temperature. Do the same with the game. Turn up the difficulty until it's too hot (you become frustrated from dying too often) and then adjust down. Otherwise you will likely lose a good deal of time playing on lower difficulty levels as you raise it to the point that's comfortable.
