Psh, blue's got nothing on red.

Have fun getting your face beat in trying to learn a bunny's special attack. I'll be over here, soloing a NM.

I called and hired them to hex you all into playing Dark Souls 2 for the rest of your lives with me. Except it might have backfired and hit just me. >.>

I've been working on DS1, to be fair.

I rang the first bell, and detoured into that garden area where I killed the moth... But now I have no clue where to go. I wandered into the New Londo Ruins and had my *** handed to me by ghosts I couldn't damage.

Sooooo... not sure where to go.

Did you get the Divine Ember at the Moth area? You can give it to the Blacksmith in Undead Parish. On the way to the first bell you should have picked up a "Basement Key", go back to the section of the Undead Parish where you first meet Solaire and open the other door. This will take you to the bottom of Lower Undeadburg which leads to the path to the second bell.

I was between that and That Old Black Magic and went with my gut. Admittedly my choice had less T&A to go with it.

We now have the ability cause massive systemic instant existence failure on spammer accounts. The filters are also being modified to prevent posts from going through with certain word combinations, which is in progress at the moment. IP banning India may also be underway. Also all the admins can cause spammer accounts to cease existing under the set post ban threshold too. Anyone with over 65,000 posts is safe from that though. Well except from the devs and the two "nuke the crap out of everything" people that you can probably guess who they are. But you get the idea.

That should slow the bastards down a bit anyways, and when they do hit we can kill them off quicker.

Is that a programming limitation (16Bit Integer) or a "No one is allowed to touch Joph" limit?

The new anti batch spammer tools are pretty effective. That and the IP blocks of a large portion of India is helping quite a bit as well. There are still some slipping through, but they are smaller, and we're able to kill them quicker.

Couldn't you just auto ban an account with less than 100 posts when it makes 5 or more threads within a few minutes? That doesn't seem like it would ever catch a real person and at least mitigates the spam.

Is it possible to add a big delay to verification emails if the registering IP is from India?

Because if admins could review those, and you made the delay 24 hours, that might help?

It's obviously a band-aid, though, since the goal would be to figure out a solution that doesn't demand a ton of man power.

It's alright, we have the new spam filter to protect us. There's absolutely no gaps in that system. Not a one. A+ defenses.
