To be a bit fair, it does clearly state it's a download voucher.

I'm a bit bummed by how slow the whole download and install has been so far. Download speeds haven't been that great... slightly better than what my PS3 gets, but still slow.

Even the GTA disc... 3-5 minutes to "prepare" and then I have to wait for it to install once I finally get to the main screen. And I'm sitting ehre with it at 2%. It's going to be probably a half an hour to install the game from disc before I can even play.

Hopefully once these things are prepared and installed they run a lot smoother.

Edit:
About 23 minutes and it's at 55%.

I used my 50 dollar Walmart card to purchas Destiny for 45 dollars. Unfortunately my local shop did not have stock so I had to get it shipped to my house. And it will take a week because I wasn't going to spend 5 dollars to get it shipped. Had to keep it within the gift card.

If you still don't have the best (at least in terms of available games) next gen console...

http://www.siliconera.com/2014/12/13/wii-u-mario-3d-world-bundle-drops-250-sunday/

Looks like Nintendo is offloading the remaining Digital Deluxe bundles before the promotion ends in two or three weeks.

With Walmart's price matching deal, you might be able to get the bundle there as well if you can't find stock online.

Destiny came in the mail today... it was smashed. Case broken. Opened it up and pieces started falling out. Disc was loose in the case, couple scratches.

I'm not really sure I trust the disc to be fully operational, even if the case wasn't broken.

So now the question is... do I keep the 30 day Playstation Plus trial code before I try to exchange it for a new one...

Mail in or walk in return? Walk in, just kept it in your pocket in case they ask for it. Mail it, don't use it until you get the new game back.

Gamestop?

Make sure you take lots of pictures of the destroyed merchandise, you may need it if you have to return it by mail.

You're one brave *******, I hesitated to even buy furniture online and have it shipped it me. Order online, pickup at store.

I couldn't do that, because the local store did have any in stock and the site would refuse any attempt to do a Site to Store purchase.

Edit:
I may luck out, the website has updated my local store as having stock available. So I should be able to easily exchange the product tomorrow after work. And then leave some negative feedback about packaging. Amazon's packaging usually sucks, but I've never had anything from Amazon be completely destroyed. (A slight dented box here or there, but nothing big).

I have all kinds of delicate things shipped to me with no problems. Just last week I had a new 4TB HD and a PS4 bundle shipped to my house without issue.

My household orders from Amazon almost daily... I'm not afraid of shipping. In fact this is the first time any shipped item has come to me damaged in any real way.

I was not able to exchange it. Still no stock locally. But they did refund it.

And destiny on the PS4 was 29.99 at Amazon. So I ordered it there instead and also had 5 dollars from Bing on my account. So I saved almost 25 dollars.

Just got to wait two days more for Amazon to deliver.

Might want to read some of the expansion reviews before deciding to keep Destiny. I won't deny that the game's enjoyable, but the grind seems to be getting ridiculously excessive.

So I just realized that the way they had to refund it actually gave me more back than what I paid for it.

They couldn't do a refund directly of the purchase because it was made online. So they put it in their system as a manual refund. That made it refund the full price of the game, vs the discounted price I paid for it on the website.

Which gave me an extra 5 dollars. Looks like it was a limitation of their refund system as they scanned the item back into the system rather than being able to use the printed receipt I brought with me.

Yes. Not going to use it until I get the game though.

Also found there was a small weapons DLC included. Some day one weapon pack or something.

I'm bummed, because my game arrived in town at the UPS center at 4am this morning, but instead of UPS delivering it, they gave it to the post office, who didn't deliver it yet :/

I guess I'll watch the last two episodes of Marco Polo.

Karma's kicking in. The game is here in town, has been for almost two days now. Still hasn't been delivered to my house. All because UPS is using the USPS to do the final delivery to the customer. The product seems to have been held up somewhere in the transfer from UPS's placed to the USPS (about half a mile down the road).

The annoying part about it... I work about two blocks away from the UPS warehouse in town.

Neither of my PS+ 30 day trial codes appear to activate on my account. They are valid, and if I try to activate them from my computer it tells me that this type of code cannot be activated on a PC.

I think back when they had the network hack they gave everyone a short PS+ time as compensation. I wonder if that made no longer a "new" user even though I had never paid for a PS+ membership.

You should make PSN UK and JP accounts and put the codes on those.

PS4 Is 329.99 at Walmart now. No games or anything like that, but a decent price if you weren't interested in any of the bundle games before.
