OK, I can finally log on to this site again. I don't know if it was the Great Firewall, ZAM filters, or something in between, but I haven't been able to. Let's get going! This is the last stretch before WoD hits and then we'll get a taste of the new expansion. That gives us plenty of fodder for the thread!

WOW: Trying to get the last bit of gearing done to hit WOD without pathetic gear and possibly dinging another few levels on alts. Oh, and hoping that I get Syd!

RL: Playing cheerleader for a tired and ill Tyger. With any luck I'll manage to get out for Xinjiang leg of lamb and an intemperate amount of booze tomorrow. We have an unscheduled holiday 7-12 November to accommodate the APEC meeting here.

Here's hoping that you all have a great weekend!

WoW: Been leveling my druid. He is 89 now. Was to tired to make the last bit of a push last night. This last level has been mainly pvp. After he is 90, I do not know what I will do until xpack drops. Maybe see how far I can level my 80 rogue that I have never played.

Still need to decide on what class to take to 100 1st. DK, Hunter or this Druid (or Warrior, Monk, or Shaman lol)

RL: Blizzcon this weekend. I'm probably going to buy the virtual ticket tonight. Watch tomorrow and Sunday.
Party of Saturday night. Drinking will be done.
My sinuses are killing me, just snorted my 1st go with Nasacort. Guy I work with says it is the bees knees. He has allergies just as bad as me, 'cept mine never go away (being allergic to mold and cats). So hopefully a few days of this and I to can agree to awesomeness this stuff is suppose to be.

Gaming:

Don't play anything really, besides Clicker Heroes and the occasional new game on Kongregate I want to check out.

Other:

Currently searching for a job. Had a job interview last week which went rather well and expect to hear from them by tomorrow. We'll see.

Also, I'm watching a ton of old movies. Spartacus by Kubrick yesterday, The Bridge on the River Kwai the day before that. Right now Chaplins City Lights.

Gaming - have not been playing much except a cheesy flash game called KingsRoad. Nothing and I do mean nothing is holding my attention. Played The Evil Within on PS3 finally and it is not really my cup of tea. A horror game that is hidden within a stealth game is not fun.

RL - Halloween is finally over and the house is almost back in order, have to remove tombstones and zombie outlines this weekend to clear up the remains. Hope to get some shooting in this weekend but no gaurantee's, have to get a rental car first (neighbor backed into my wife's car) and see what else we have planned.

Garg. I survived. I fared rather well in Azeroth, not so well in Beijing.

WOW: I pushed my Goblin Hunter to 90, geared her up enough for LFR, and got her through LFR SoO. I got a fair number of upgrades, but of course I'm not allowed to get a weapon.

RL: The good news is that I got time with Tyger. The bad news is that we had a mildly clumsy cook at the restaurant we went to, one who missed a small bone fragment among the short ribs. I won. Yep, bit down and had an ancient filling give way, along with about a quarter of the tooth. Now, keep in mind that the day before, I'd torn the muscles in my left calf again (old injury), so I got to limp to a dentist and hope Google Translate (offline mode, Google is still blocked) would get me through seeing the dentist. Did I mention that I've had several "oops" (yes, the dentist said oops) moments in the US and the mere sound of a dentist's drill makes my blood pressure soar. Yay for Google! I'm still limping but have a temporary crown.

Not as ambitious a set of injuries as some of you guys, but enough to make the weekend less pleasant. Here's hoping that you all did better and are ready for WoD! We get it on the 18th.

Don't be too worried about ilvl for WoD. Starting zone is balanced for 483 ilvl.

It's bitterly cold here for this time of year so the gaming may be plenty and the outdoor life will be minimal.

RL - Been netflixing quite a bit lately so will probably continue the trend and finish up the second season of The Following this weekend. Supposed to go visit parents and in-laws this weekend but will have to see how the wife feels and the weather acts.

Gaming - playing flash games mostly, saw D3 had some new updates so may check them out or just try to get back into it. Not is definite for gaming, nothing is catching my attenion.

Game: WoD if I get in.

RL: It is suppose to be cold and snowing. Plan to go out Sat night to hang with peeps.

glad they raised the cap on realms, but I've been told some realms are still packed (like area 52).

Made it to 96 (and maybe a half). So hopefully by next weekend I'm 100. Not that it should take me that long...

I do not like that there is no real point to running a dungeon, at all, pre-100. No quests? I've ran 2 and didn't even get anything but gold lol.

Have had a blast so far. Really want to know when all these Orcs figure out who we are >.> I've got a vibe that Thrall's parents don't know that is him...or anything yet...

RL - Weather played nicely so was able to venture out a little. Completed more Christmas shopping and bought some more decorations for inside. Cleaned up the yard a little and cleaned out the garage enough to get plants inside from the cold. Finished The Following season 2 - don't waste your time, it is a mind numbing frustrating.

Gaming - played flash games a little but not as much as I expected, did not check out D3.

Guess who's back, back again? BDJ's back, tell a friend.

So I picked up the expac yesterday and reupped my account. I took my free level 90 on Aggramar Alliance side to play with a friend from work. I decided on a human paladin that I'm levelling as protection. Not much has changed in the priority system from the last time I played a protection paladin, which was over 2 years ago, so I was pretty comfortable with the character by the time I hit 91, which I did last night. Boo yah!

The only new zone I've seen so far is Shadowmoon Valley, but it's beautiful, even if the topography has me pulling my hair out. The story so far is quite interesting and the quests are actually pretty fun. I love that I was able to send all of my heirlooms to my new server, as that allowed me to delete all of my other characters. I am also loving the garrison stuff so far. The followers and missions feels a lot like SW:TOR's crafting system, which was one of my favorite parts of the game. I also got an invite to a pretty fun guild. They're very talkative and social and they've been more than willing to answer all of my "newb" questions.

So anyway, if anybody is on Aggramar Alliance side, feel free to add Allizsah as a friend.

Welcome back, BDJ!

OK, WOD has finally hit, the changes to get it into English were painless, launch seems to have learned from the problems NA/EU had because it went very smoothly! That means it is time to jump in and hit some goals this weekend!

WOW: I'm going to let the race to 100 take a backseat to getting a few garrisons going. I see that being an altoholic is going to be a handful for awhile. Still, I'm having fun with it.

RL: The torn muscles in my leg have started to heal and the loss of my temporary crown last night at the end of a meal had the unexpected upside of my walking in to the dentists' office and finding out the permanent one had just arrived. That's it, I'm not pushing my luck. I'm staying in and binging on WOD.

May the RNG smile on you (and WOD seems to give it lots of opportunities)!

The RNG has smiled on me already. I got an epic upgrade on a quest reward from one of the later quests in SMV. I also got an epic BOE from a rare, although it was for Int-based offensive casters and BOP, so I just vendored it,

WoW: I hit 100 last night! Tonight I'm going to try and get the long quest chain done to get Gara the spirit wolf done.
Anything else WoW related this weekend will be me doing a ton of questing, to make that coin, and w/e 100s now do. I do know I'm 1k (because I couldnt hit cap before xpack dropped) away from the PvP weapon, might as well go for that.
I feel like the game really now has started, even tho I had a fun time leveling.

RL: I dunno. get drunk...

Gaming:

Still mostly play Clicker Heroes. Some other games on Kongregate too, like the new Bloons Multiplayer TD. Loosely follow news about WoW and D3 but at this point I have no real interest in Blizzards games whatsoever. Not out of spite or dislike, just played them too much over the past years I guess.

Other:

Turned down my first real job offer yesterday. Since the job market is a bit sucky here (Germany) right now it was not an easy decision. I am totally willing to take a job that isn't great, does not pay great etc, since it would the first one after finishing college and you can't be picky in that situation. But every aspect of said offer was extremely bad to a point where both my parents told me to not accept it. Since I had their support in this I don't feel remorse now. Just have to keep churning out applications.
Watched some movies. Paths of Glory (good) and The Great Dictator (not as good as expected but not bad either). And Mongol, a movie about the childhood, youth and early adult years of Genghis Khan. Liked it but would have been better without the mystical elements, few as they were.

Happy Weekend All!!!

Gaming: Playing wow a lot got my hunter and shaman up to 94 and my rogue to 91. i need to decide who i want to be my "main". It is a tough decision. But I think it might be my Tauren shaman. My hunter was always my main but shaman has been really fun. I will see once I get a few to 100. Also got the new Dragon Age, only played through the intro. I am to hooked on the damn garrisons to play much anything else.

RL: I am working today till 4, Then I am going to a Flyers game at 7 with a buddy, should be a great time.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!!

Challenge Mode Skyreach is my bane.

We've been farming CM's for the daily, 640 gear is nice. Every other one that I have walked into as a healer has been fairly easy, not that we are going for gold, just bronze so far on most of them without trying. Then there is Skyreach, the Araknath fight as a Holy Paladin is a fricking nightmare, we did it but man I didn't even have to heal that hard on 25 man HM LK when it was current.

Lay on Hands used, Hand of Sac 4 times, all my CD's a trinket, Devo Aura, Amplify Magic from the Mage, Holy Avenger and we finished with everyone sub 20% health including the tank. The rest of it wasn't too bad, but that fight is a fricking nightmare.

Yeah, our healers have been saying something similar. To the point where they openly curse the devs when it's time for Skyreach CM.

WoW: Got Gara, started running normals until 610 iLv. I am now 615 iLv. I seem to do really bad DMG in any of the 3 specs, to the point where I was removed from a fail group. I wasn't lowest DPS, but I feel the tank just had it out for Hunters lol.
Spent gold. Leveled up Garrison to lv3. I so need more resources.
I've quested (main stories) all the zones, and have done most of the sub-kill-quests (bonus quests?).
Ashran pvp is nuts. Not sure how, but Healing seems nuts. Entire raid of people can be fighting one person, if there is enough healers on them, they do not die. Ever.

RL: Did nothing!
Work 3 days, then off 4.

The RNG seems to have decided WoD balances RL. I'm still limping and the new crown seems to have left me mildly sensitive to cold but I've actually managed to get usable random upgrades on followers and gear. Most of the toons I've tried are doing alright, but my Shadow Priest seems to hit like a wet noodle despite being the only one with a SoO heirloom.

I got to 98 over the weekend. That's not too bad considering I started playing Tuesday morning. I'm hoping to hit 100 tomorrow night, but if I don't I won't be too upset. I've completely finished questing and bonus objectives in Shadowmoon Valley, Gorgrond, and Talador, including all of the bonus objectives. However, I still have small pieces of the map to uncover. I'm finding it very tricky to navigate on foot.

Sandinmygum, here is our guild hunter. I didn't even realized that he is as geared as he is.

http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/lightbringer/Merrittslust/simple

Also, don't be too disheartened, I found that 610-625 I was feeling subpar, once I broke the 625 ilvl I felt good, and now that I am 634 I am lulz'ing at the HM 5 mans.
