Necro looking for help with proper dps buildFollow

#1 Jan 06 2013 at 9:00 PM Rating: Decent
I am new to eq2 (played wow, swtor, gw2 in past) and am discovering that this game is in a league of its own when it comes to building characters and how much more complex combat is. I LOVE this game! I am currently playing a level 40 necromancer and i am looking for help on how to properly spend my AA and suggestions on which spells are best to use. I do most of my leveling with my bf who has a level 49 shadowknight. I do okay dps and i try to assist with little heals in case of an issue when his merc cant keep up.

So, im looking for lots of advice on how to properly play a necromancer and be the most efficient amd effective. Thanks!!

Hi there, necro's are fun, to be honest your choices will have a limited effect until you get much higher level, obviously some will be better than others, your necro is about doing Damage over time and letting your pet smack everything around.

Remember you can reset your AA choices so nothing will break your character in the long run.

I'd suggest if you haven't already got it, either you or your BF buy the Age of Discovery expansion, so one of you can run a mercenary (healer would be good) then you'll be free to DPS to your hearts content!

Thanks!! My bf has a shammy merc that he uses now. But.... my bf thinks it's fun to pull massive groups in dungeons when it's just us and his merc, thus making it difficult for his merc to keep up with heals...lol. I know my few heals don't help much, but sometimes it is just enough to save his butt while I feign death to teach him a lesson...lol
