Betrayal Class ChangeFollow

#1 Jul 24 2007 at 9:41 AM Rating: Decent
I've been reading around and a lot of info seems outdated and the few people i've asked in game said you can't class change with betrayal anymore. However, slight references keep poping up to it while i'm playing the game so I can never get a straight answer. Was hoping I could get one here

My ultimate question to break it all down is that I want to be a conjurer but be an evil race.

Such as.... Dark Elf conjurer or some other evil race. Is it still possible to go through the betrayal quest and have your class changed from the evil version to the good version?

I appreciate your answers!

Thanks

In before Stu!!!!

Heh, anyway. To put it simply you CANNOT have an evil Conjy. You will become a necro apon completing betrayal quest.

There are two classes that are netural (you can be evil or good) for each architype. Fighter = warrior, priest = druid, scout = bard, mage = sorcorer. These classes can be either good or evil.

Edit. You can have a darkelf conjy. You need to roll your DE as a necro then betray it.

yes, that is correct.

Rip is ultimately correct. You can't have an "evil" conjuror, but you can have an evil race conjuror by rolling a necro and betraying it to one of the good-aligned cities.

Sweet!! So, what level can i betray at?

And actually I have another question in regards to this. So If I make a Dark Elf Necromancer and betray to a good city to become a Conjurer. Is it possible to betray back to an evil city to be evil again? Or does that force me into Necro again?

Well, Stu...

If you read my first post, technically i didn't say anything incorrect, i just didn't answer the question. "you cannot have an evil conjy" the betrayal process infact turns you good (ick)

Good as new, and it still fits =)

You can betray starting at level 10, all the way up to 70. The encounters and quests during the course of the betrayal will scale to your level.

Unfortunately for you, this is not possible. Your class is based on your citizenship and alignment. The good aligned factions simply will not allow the loathsome practices of the evil classes to happen in their cities and the evil factions won't stand for the "weakness" of the good classes to pervade their cities. If you were to betray back to an evil city, you would be forced to change back into a necro.

This does get confusing... so if i'm an Orge Shodowknight, and Betray.. I then become a Pally? then all combat arts and spells change to the pally?

[]so then you become an Orge Pally?

yes, this is accurate.

And promptly upon completing the betrayal of your overlord and your race, you will become a pally and suffer from all the ailments associated with being a pally.

In addition, Stu will mock you mercilessly and question your ogre-macheesmo.

Yes, you would become a female ogre paladin.
