I have a level 39 warden and am looking for a good place to try to do some solo leveling as I am having a hard time getting groups. Anyone know where the best place to go and try to maybe do some quests for xp and aa?

You can try soloing those magma lizards in Lavastorm. they are 40-42 I believe.

You run into them when you walk off the dock

Just be careful of the named heroic that sometimes wanders that beach. He has smoked one of my toons a time or two!

I would definately go to steamfont mountains if you are planning on soloing alot.
While lavastorm and everfrost are fun zones they are fairly group intensive where as steamfont has several excellent solo quest lines with great xp not to mention the cute mechanical duck pet as the end reward from one of them.

I was having a hard time at that same level range and found that steamfont was perfect for days when it was hard to get a group

I'd go as far to say lavastorm is useless, except for the first 50 feet unless you have a group. I've died there at lvl 70...:(

Interesting in that all this time I thought it was just me who disliked the original T5 zones. IMHO, Steamfont is a major improvement over both Lava and EF both of which I find to be convoluted in design and difficult to solo in.

I always thought that since they were the original end game, they had been intentionally been made more cryptic in order to slow player progress down and give the devs time to complete the first expansion.

around 42ish you can hit up sinking sands
#10REDACTED, Posted: Feb 24 2007 at 4:21 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I completely agree with you there. I've had the same thoughts about lava and ef. I love ef but you need a strong group to get the best from it, with steamfont you have some excellent solo quest lines with nice rewards, xp and achievement point xp. When you're done with those you should be ready for sinking sands

And I agree with this too. I never even went to Lava before I greyed out most of the mobs there, nor EF for that matter apart from some easy quests and writs.

However, the Feerrott is a great place to spend some time in up to the point where you can go to the Sinking Sands. There's a lot to do there, plenty of solo quests and mobs.

Hehe. Well, then, I'm not ashamed to say still haven't figured out how to get to the northern part of the Lavastorm zone, and I had to ask a few times to get to the southeast part of Everfrost.

I've looked all over Lavastorm trying to get to the rest of the zone, and got no responses in zone chat. When I died by falling in lava I said to heck with this and never went back.

I never did any levelling in EF or LS. I stuck with EL, Zek, Feerrott and Rivervale until I hit 45 then went to SS. It's very fast solo leveling 45 - 50 in SS doing the faction quests and all the other quests available in the beach area.

Do I need an expansion pack to get to the sinking sands? When I am done with Rivervale I want to go check it out and I want to go look at the Steamfront mountains too. I have seen Feerrot and I have seen some pretty nice drops from them to I am a 44 Wizard Fae trying like mad to level up enough to explore the game in its entirety.

If you have Desert of Flames, you can get to Sinking Sands.
